I can see why Lion and Rooster are so different, yet they are so similar in certain ways. The biggest difference by far the Lion is much stronger and better at getting what it wants. Roosters are light as a feather, known for making a lot of noise and doing very little. Lions are not like this.

The Lion and Rooster both have the finery on the outside and make a lot of noise, just Lion follows up with swift, powerful action and is much more fierce.

This is how I would correlate them:

Dragon - Libra
snake - Scorpio
horse - Sagittarius
sheep - Aries
monkey - Gemini
rooster - Leo
dog - Aquarius
boar - Cancer
rat - Capricorn
ox - Taurus
tiger - Pisces
rabbit - Virgo

All our signs were correspondingly either trine or sextile (and year was soulmate sign). I read from chinese astrologer ______ damn forgot his name, but i have him added on facebook, that the best match for anyone would be if all their pillars were the soulmate signs to your pillars

It was something somebody made i think. It's not supposed to correlate exactly with the western zodiac at all. More like a very general estimation

For example snake is wise, suspicious and revengeful and gets infuriated with hypocrisy which fits scorpio, while pig is hedonistic, grouchy, more naive, an open book, doesnt lie, generally trusting which fits taurus more or even maybe cancer actually. But in that list pig is correlated with scorpio and snake with taurus.

Just because the ox is like capricorn and the rooster is like virgo doesnt mean the snake is really like a taurus at all.

Also in chinese astro books u will see monkey being referred to as "mercurial" over an over again. That's because they have they are like gemini and virgo whoa are ruled by mercury. Monkey is like gemini because it has a million hobbies and is good at all of them, is usually hyper, friendly, but eccentric and erratic, an "entertainer," but they are also like virgo because they analyze situations, they're deep, they arent superficial like gemini, they like perfection and are very critical of others secretly

Yes i know leo is correlated with monkey in these lists that u see lying around the internet but no chinese astrologer wrote those. You wont find a chinese astrologer posting that list. For example dragon or tiger are much more like a combination of leo and aries than monkey could ever be.

It being ruled by Mercury is an erroneous idea for sure.

I would rather it be ruled by Mercury since I'm a Pig, but then I'd be lying to myself.
