Lou Reed, the legendary member of The Velvet Underground, he has crossdressed, made songs about homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenders, prostitutes etc. He's also a notoriously tough man to interview with his cut and dry personality. Let's have a look at his chart and discuss, Reed was born March 2, 1942 in Southampton, NY. His wife was Laurie Anderson, a Gemini born June 5, 1947. Oh I loved him so...I've often wondered what his AC might be. I'm not all that great at guessing people's ACs. :/ <ed> I didn't know he had a Virgo Moon opp his Pisces Sun like I do...I suddenly feel much better about that placement, hahaha. And Pluto opp Venus, too! Wow, I feel waaaayyy better about my chart, lol. Still no idea about the AC though. Cut and dry could easily come from a Virgo Moon...hmm. IP: Logged |

He does kind of have Cancer AC eyes, but I don't think he was that sensitive of a guy, really. He also looks like he could potentially have had a Taurus AC, which would put that crazy Mars/Uranus/Saturn conjunction in his 1st, which might make sense to me, and his Venus and Mercury in 10th? Hm. I think I might go with that. IP: Logged |

In other news, I've also often wondered what Nico's AC might have been. I know that she was a Libra, which shows, but...she was so odd, even moreso than the rest of them I think. <Edit> Wow though, yeah. It's hard to deny the Cancer AC potential in his eyes, but that could be Pisces Sun, too maybe? I could possibly see how his Pluto/Uranus conjunction might fit into his 10th house, but I don't know if I would think him to be an 8th house Sun, or have Venus in 7th or 8th... He was kind of flippant in his mannerisms (imo), and seemed pretty detached for a Pisces, except for songs like "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'". Maybe Scorpio? Hard to tell, but he does look like a Cancer AC. Could be Scorpio. Though his gaze is not as fixed as I would expect, and his persona not as outwardly sexual. But Scorpio still a good fit.Could also be Pisces rising. ------------------ http://www.lightofthestars.com Every Chart has a Gift IP: Logged |

I know three scorpios who look so much like him. theyre the sweet kind of scorpio, the dreamy/sparkly/watery eyed kindbut i also know two cancer risings who look like him. i dont think he seems like a cancer in other ways tho, like a lot of his expressions dont quite say cancer. also i could never picture a cancer rising being as out there as he was, as unconventional and rebellious, no way cancer risings are conservative and critical/family oriented. i do think scorpio fits best, but there's a chance it's cancer IP: Logged |

Let's see. He was known for The Velvet Underground. The word underground is more fitted to a Pluto/Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, so I will stick to Scorpio. IP: Logged |

I think I might agree about Scorpio as a good potential. But I also agree with you that he never had that Scorpio sex thing going too much. I always considered him as kind of asexual, honestly. He does have Pluto conjunct Uranus, too. But Scorpio might be a good fit if we're judging by looks alone. Maybe a bit of the Scorpio sting as well, and the outward kind of aloofness of his persona...? IP: Logged |

^^^ Yeah, he didn't look outwardly sexual, but his biggest hit was Take a Walk on the Wild Side, which introduce the world to sexual outcasts in the early 70s. Still a great song some 40 years later!------------------ http://www.lightofthestars.com Every Chart has a Gift IP: Logged |

True. Ahhh... I was pretty sad the day Lou Reed died. That was a hard hit for the music lovers of the world, I think. IP: Logged |

^^^ He was quite iconic. Never quite made it to mainstream fame, though, which even added to his cult status in some circles. ------------------ http://www.lightofthestars.com Every Chart has a Gift IP: Logged |

I don't reckon that mainstream success was his goal... He's golden in my book. I've been listening to the Velvet Underground since I was a kid, and I've always loved Lou Reed. I saw Laurie Anderson live once, and she was unbelievable, crazy good. What an amazing pair.
