Old soul or new soul, thing is, we are all souls in different journeys. I guess that we all heard of this before, but when we feel what this really means, it actually makes this kind of labels less important. We are all together here in this universe, in this ocean of stars. And it is really beautiful. This might sound like all hippie peace and love, you might even think that I'm smoking something lol, but lately I've been thinking about this... If we are all together in our own journeys, then shouldn't we help each other? This world is ours, and without building it together, we can't truly rise higher together. I have been into astrology for almost a decade. Been focused on my own chart, chart of my loved ones and relational astrology for most of the time, then stopped looking at astrology to get in touch with life, just to come back after coming in contact with a professional astrologer and starting astrology classes. I'm still not knowledgeable, but somehow I feel that what I know is earned coz there have been selfless people, including very good astrologers, that have been willing to share their knowledge (earned from their own research and experience), as well as giving free readings. These people who have nothing to do with me somehow helped me and many others to learn more, and arrive to where we are, becoming who we are today. And when thinking about it, isn't it great? We are all souls in our own journeys; how many of us are lost often, and how many of us are so grateful of a small help every now and then? Again, I'm nowhere anyone great or skilled enough, I still have so much to learn (by stalking experienced astrologers lol)! But when I think about all these... if what I know can help someone else, then I should give it a try too. Everyone here has been newbies in astrology or any other form of knowledge, and many of us probably still remember what it felt like. Geez, I still remember a few dumb questions I asked back then! So what I wanted to say here, before writing a huge Wall of China... Is that we should try to put the fights and conflicts aside, and be more understanding of other people's circumstances and feelings. We might not always agree with each other, and then some beliefs might clash worse than others. But we are all souls in different journeys, but together in this world, in this universe... The world is ours... Instead of separating and dividing away, we could help each other with what we know. Everyone has a story to tell, truths to share, and we can learn so much from each other.
I won't say that I'm all peace, as I can be pretty stubborn or aggressive, or immature too. But I think that we can all build a better world, if we all focus more on helping each other rather than dividing. More than often, we might not realize it, but even a smallest act of sharing and kindness can contribute a lot. "Our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others, past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future." - Cloud Atlas IP: Logged |

So why not go back to making so many pointless threads of your own?

interesting. One point we haven't touched on is that souls can regress, you can be high on the food chain and then live a life of utter disgust and take 5 steps back and have to relearn the lessons that you made a mess of. This is not a refresher course, this is an actual start to finish process where your life lessons will be tested and if you don't pass you repeat.

Not at all. I believe they can't; they are at such different wavelengths, so it is impossible for them to mingle. They are like water and oil. Some differences: A young soul is all about liveliness, action, trying to create something, changing the world, doing something of which he/she'll be proud later and that is meaningful to him/her. He/she looks at the old soul and is disappointed to see a cranky old man/lady. The young soul exclaims: 'How can this person not pursue anything? How can he/she be so boring? I don't understand!' The young soul needs a young soul as a companion and the old soul needs an old soul around. Also a young soul can be purer (less influenced by the world) than an old soul, which can be more corrupted. I must say I don't believe being an old soul is an advantage. In this life you must also learn to enjoy, and have fun, and it must be dreadful to be tired of everything already :/. Think of Mozart's music, for example, which is so playful. I find it absolutely delightful.IP: Logged |

Oh my gosh! "Practice competitive spirituality. silently/passive aggressively You're going to want to compare how spiritual other people are too yourself". Ha ha! I love this. My mother's guide used to mock his students and say of a visitor (right on front of the visitor), "I don't think he's quite good enough for our country club". It was very awkward for his students, but he would regularly and in uncomfortable ways "out" their tendencies toward superiority. At the risk of being too simple, and maybe incorrect altogether, lol, I think Vedic determines the age of a soul by Sun's degree in a sign. So basically, the earlier the degree, the younger the soul. ^ Idk tho...

I know I was the one that started this thread, but what about middle aged souls? They're not baby souls, but they're not elderly souls either. IP: Logged |

Also, younger souls can be a bit naughty, like a six year old child. Hahaha.

Ok Not all young souls are like that, because a six year old would be a baby soul. Besides I think young souls might help old souls to relax and have fun once in a while with their spontaneity and playfulness though. But yes I agree that for one thing or for other, they would never fully understand each other. IP: Logged |

Yes, older souls, can be too serious sometimes, probably from experiencing so much from past lives, and going through so much tragedy. Of course, not all of it is tragedy.

Old souls are like old people, more detached, more experience, more understanding.Young souls are like young people, more engaged, everything is new, and everything is more personal to them. The difference is how they express their souls age and experience, so I can see where an older soul could get tired of the younger soul always making things seem so important and I can see how a younger soul would get tired of the older soul's detached view of things.
