Pisces-Virgo axis is quite common with self-destructive tendency

I will bring some rationality to this.
I just haven't noticed it as being that common. You are biased because you hear about the worst ones but for every one you hear about there are at least ten others who are quite the opposite of self destructive and just go about living their lives without drama.

Good point, LC, but it's still not technically a Pisces sun. Virgo and Pisces are two different sign so it's not fair to blame a Pisces sun when a Virgo does something, and vice versa.

I've known a lot of self-destructive people, and a lot of drug addicts. Some were Pisces, some were Virgos, some were not.

I can see why Pisces is associated with this type of thing, just as much as the 12th house or Neptune is.

However, aspects and planets are always the key in these situations, I think. Aspects will override a Sun sign any day, to my way of thinking.

By self-destructive one could also read destruction of the ego. If the Pisces sign is meant to show compassion in the pisces fashion, I expect it to be through the destruction of primary instincts and primary behavior in exchange for the integration of morals and values.

So if the ego is rejected for a higher personality archetype in Pisces people, and that the personality they built is rejected by peers or society, these Pisces might feel as good as dead and thus turn to physical self-destructive abuse... I might be wrong but I'm a Pisces sun and I feel that way :3

It's power of suggestion.
People think they are supposed to be that way because someone else is and a lot of attention is paid.
That might not be the case for everyone but I bet it is for some. Everybody is different and anyone is susceptible to drugs/alcohol. All you need is one extremely stressful event in your life to knock you on your ass and you can get hooked on either of those. Most people have more than one event. Might not even be due to stress, might just be the party culture, too. It can be either. But it can happen to anyone.

What I am basically saying is, Pisces is not fated to experience this.

I don't think Pisces are fated to experience that at all. Look at Einstein, Steinbeck, and a plethora of others. I am guessing it has to do with their charts.

While I agree that a stressful event can cause many people to become addicted to substances (or, more to the point, many stressful events, as you mentioned) I do think that some signs and/or placements are more inclined than others to go overboard with it.

I live in a place where there's a lot of drug abuse, one of the worst in the nation, and we just had a major catastrophe that affected a lot of people. We got brochures warning us not to cope with drugs and alcohol from a disaster response agency. That's probably common wherever there's a disaster though.

Ahahahaha...!

I'll try, heh. I find it highly inconvenient that my Virgo Moon always decides to bail on me when I'm trying to paint trim. Effing Moon.

You're actually making me laugh out loud now. This thread is making me feel like I should do the Monty Python "silly walk" through the hallway in between coats.

And thanks, I'll be needing it.

While I am saving and rescuing everyone else, my monster gets bigger and uncontrollable so that when I have to come to terms with what I created; its too painful

That's it.
That's what it is.
Question answered.

Thank you for explaining from the actual mind of a pisces sun

Personally, my self-destructive tendencies were the result of internalized anger and the belief that I could not express my pain in any other way. And I had a lot of pain and anger to internalize.

But yes, I think that avoidance is always the underlying factor here, in one form or another. I don't know that I was ever trying to save anyone except for myself, quite honestly.

I am a pisces and I cried reading your posts here.

It is true that we are prone to addiction.
Sometimes it is hard for us and I'm not speaking about all the pisces out there, but, until now, I met just 2 pisces girls that were toxic to the world and I think their sun was afflicted (I didnt check their chart), the rest of them are really sensitive and are not materilistic, they just want peace and the bad things in the world affect us really bad.

For me to forget about the bad things, I ignore them. Sometimes it is too much to take, too much to think about them.

I'll give an example.
A small dog that lives near my house was kicked by a human which I'll prefer to call an animal and now she can't walk anymore. That man kicked her so bad that she can't use her legs anymore and she's doing some recovery now, hopefully she will get better, but I don't if she will.

A girl at work watched the film Joker that was released last year and she said "it portrait exactly what the world is, what it means to live in a world that doesn't undertand you". She was really upset about the movie. I was too. Really hard to watch, but that's how is the world.

When I found out what sign I am, as a child, I hated it because I knew that it is a bad sign, too sesitive for the world, and I wished I was more stable and the type that nothing can move me...

Until recently, when a guy at work that is a pisces too, told me "why do you hate it? it's the best sign of all" and I met other people having pisces sun, mercury, venus and it really opened my eyes.

Now I wish to have this sign for every incarnation I will have, it this incarnation thing is real.

That broke my heart.

Please tell me there were consequences for the man who did this.

No, to do something about it you have to have some proofs and the cameras weren't working at that time.

I called the police once when I found a cat sick from poisoning and she got like that eating food left by neighbours, so I called the police and told them someone in the building is doing this and they need to know exactly who is doing this, and proofs to continue, otherwise it was just a supposition.
