i've not too much experience with virgos but every one i reflect on now has had a very nice poise, self-containment and appearance of knowing without the advertising sign that they are mysterious like scorpio. also coming after scorpio i wonder if that is a development in that energy. edit: just realized libra is after

I don't know, but all of those signs are primarily concerned with learning and knowledge. Us as human beings are working on evolving a more advanced intellect all the time. For tomorrow and the future of our species. So maybe that's one connection to humans? IP: Logged |

I've tried using Chiron as the ruler of Virgo and I've found it makes a lot more sense than using Mercury. I started doing so after I noticed that people with Chiron conjunct angles are very Virgo-like even if they have no Virgo or 6th House in their charts. My mom and dad are both have Chiron conjunct angles and it's hard to believe that they don't have Virgo or 6th House influence in their charts. This is especially true of my mom, which makes sense because her Chiron/MC conjunction is very tight.Also, there are a number of obvious connections between Chiron, Virgo, and the 6th House. Most significantly they've all been tied to helping and healing. Plus in my opinion there's a wounded, self-sacrificing quality to a lot of Virgos that fits nicely with Chiron. YMMV of course... I think everyone has to make the decision about which planet should rule Virgo for themselves. I still use Mercury as the co-ruler. IP: Logged |

In my opinion Gemini is ruled by Mercury and Virgo is ruled by Ceres. I think Mercury supposedly ruling Virgo is one of the main reasons why Virgo is such a misunderstood sign. Virgo is considered to be the boring, frigid, clean freak librarian when in reality there is so much more to Virgo energy. Virgo is an earth sign, so it is naturally feminine and sensual, but in a more sophisticated way than Taurus is. I think Ceres is a perfect fit for Virgo, and not just because Ceres is behind the ancient mythology of Virgo. Ceres represents what Virgo really is about. But that's just my opinion. IP: Logged |

I would tend to agree. The two signs tend to get along and appear mercurial when they see a similar problem, but how they approach it and solve it is a little different. Thats were the differences show. As a comparison lets assume Virgo is a surgical knife slow and precise. While Gemini would be more of a butchers knife not as precise, quick and Mercurial fast. ===================================
