Hello all:

I am new to this forum - and relatively new to astrology as well.

I would say that I am fairly Scorpionic. (I have my Sun, Mercury, Mars, and Pluto in Scorpio - with a Taurus Moon to calm me down.)

My birthday is 11-12-1989 for those that want to know.

I haven't been with very many women to be honest. I actually don't enjoy casual sex that much.

I want to find that special woman that I can have a good relationship with - either a Cancer or Pisces woman, since I've been told that those signs are best for Scorpio men.

The only woman I have ever truly loved was a Piscean woman. God - I loved that woman; I still fantasize about her. We had a tryst for 3 weeks until she moved back to her country. She was a foreign exchange student.

My only experience with a Cancer woman was a one night stand. She had a boyfriend in Colorado, but didn't tell me about it. It was a long-distance relationship. Well - so much for the Cancerian loyalty, lol. (She never returned my call the next day.) In all honesty, it was some of the best sex I've ever had. I mean - it was mind-blowing.

-

My experience with Piscean women is that they are very spontaneous, easygoing, unpredictable, romantic, extremely feminine, and submissive. Also clingy, which I don't mind at all. God - I love Piscean women. The only issue I have with Piscean women is that they are a little too adventurous for me. I am really kind of a hermit and prefer staying home. Is that my Taurus Moon? I don't know. I don't like to go out that much. I hate restaurants, movies etc. Much prefer to stay home in bed - lol. The Piscean woman wanted to "go do stuff." Sigh - being the gentleman that I am - I did it to please her, of course.

My experience with Cancerian women is that they are understanding, goofy, sort of funny (I guess?), empathetic, nonjudgmental, talkative (more so than Pisces), and not as submissive as Pisces. I don't really consider a sense of humor important in a woman to be honest. Overall, Cancerian women tend to flock to me without effort. (I am kind of the obsessive, brooding loner type. Classic introvert, really.) Piscean women require a little bit more cajoling. Not much to say about Cancerian women. They have this interesting way of responding to my texts with a lot of exclamation marks. "Hey! How are you?" "I'm doing great! I had a nice weekend!" etc.

Anyway - what is the point of this useless babbling?

I really want to know whether Piscean or Cancerian women are best for Scorpio men (the classic November Scorpio men - not the "sunny" October Scorpios). I have read hundreds of blog posts, but some say Pisces and others say Cancer. Most say both. Being the obsessive extremist that I am, I want a clear answer. No Earth signs please.

Thank you.

I think the most important thing is that the moon signs are compatible. So you should find someone with an water or earth moon, that would be best.

I actually got a very good friend who was born exactly the same day as you. She also got her most devoted relationship with a pisces, but that didn't work out either.

You could also check your house placements for venus, mars and moon to find out what you need in a relationship.

I'm a cancer and I love Scorpios. I have several Scorp rising friends, dated one and I had a relationship with a Scorp Sun/Mercury/Venus guy for a while
Currently "talking" to a Scorpio sun/merc/venus guy with cancer moon

I def agree that the moons have a major role

I was friends with a Scorp Sun who had Gem moon and Venus in Sag but he didn't seem Scorp to me AT ALL and I had less compatibility with him that my other Scorpio acquaintances

I would say that scorpio is equally compatible to cancer and pisces.

But cancer matched with pisces feels like heaven

I see.

Would it be better to share the same Moon sign or would it be better for her Moon to be the same as my Sun sign? Just curious.

Fascinating. Can you describe your friend?

I am not too familiar with the houses, but my Mars is in the Third, my Venus is in the Fourth, and my Moon is in the Ninth. What does this mean?

Thank you!

Ascendant is Virgo, but I really look like a Scorpio ascendant (thick eyebrows etc.). I am very analytical though.

Cancer is a better match, because Pisces is transpersonal and not very 'into' one on one relationships.
There's more mutual understanding with Pisces, but little trust on a romantic level.

For Scorpio men especially... Pisces women can sometimes be 'too much' --- but it depends on the synastry.

Fascinating. This is a great post. Can you please please elaborate?

Pisces is not 'into' one on one relationships? Are they more social butterflies? I have found them to be very faithful. At least - so I think.

And how can Pisces women become "too much"? Too clingy? I don't mind clinginess. It shows that you care. Too much spontaneous, unpredictable energy? I could see that to an extent - yes.

Thanks again!

hmmm... I don't want to sound like I'm raining on your parade...

I think anyone can be faithful because we all have 'free will' and we make our choices in life.

But I have known many Pisces people.. and.. their idea of faithfulness is usually different to the Scorpionic idea of faithfulness.

Pisces is a mutable sign.. It's also the last sign. They can fall in love with many people - and they often drift in and out of love. They won't necessarily be physically unfaithful, (although that's also a possibility)... but they can be psychologically/emotionally unfaithful.
Pisces women are probably the most flirty and 'open' to male attention - in all contexts... which can drive a Scorpio bf or husband insane.
This is just my experience.
It is sad in a way - because they can really be in love with each other.. but this 'casual' behaviour Pisces has - can end up ruining the relationship. Scorpio is much more serious.

Pisces doesn't want to hurt anyone.. so a Pisces girl won't go out of her way to do something painful to her Scorpio bf.. and because she is intuitive and knows how possessive he is - she is likely to put on an act while he is around, so that he doesn't get hurt by her behaviour.
But when he is not around - it's another story.

Cancer women are extremely different in this regard. If there is one thing that Cancer and Scorpio are completely in agreement on - it's their ideals of pure/long-lasting/love and devotion - in the context of an exclusive relationship.

I feel like Cancers are also more affectionate than Pisces and more verbally expressive of affection.. because Cancer is a very motherly sign.
Cancers want to meet their 'true love'.. They are very idealistic and romantic. They don't want attention from different men (like Pisces does).. because once they are in love everyone else fades to grey. Scorpio is like this as well. They are more similar when it comes to intensity/passion levels.

Pisces can be more detached and not so intensely focused on their Scorpio S/O...
But.... Pisces and Scorpio have this platonic connection where they can look at each other from across a crowded room - and know what the other is thinking. So there isn't always a need to say things 'out loud'.
The ESP is just amazing. I am not a Pisces.. but I have Pisces Mercury (Aries Sun) and when I meet men with Scorpio Mercury in aspect to mine.. we still have this ESP thing

There are pros and cons to each relationship. Pisces is more understanding in a sense.. They are more 'adult'.. and can have really interesting conversations with Scorpio.
Cancer is a bit more naive about love and life.. (because Cancer is a personal sign).. but they are very loving and honest.

No. Not too clingy... I knew you would like 'clingy' haha
You have *so* much Scorpio!!!

Cancers can be clingy. Pisces is usually difficult to catch, like their symbol - the two fish swimming in opposite directions.
They seldom get clingy.

Yes... extremely unpredictable..

You have so much fixed energy in your chart...
A Pisces woman can seem unreliable to you, because she always seems to be changing.. moving around... never really *there* 100%.

I'm a Pisces, and I generally don't find it difficult to be faithful. If I'm thinking about someone else, it's probably time to end the relationship (well...I allow myself small crushes on people I'll never meet in real life, now that I'm married). I'm also very strict about not flirting with people, but I don't mind a little bit of attention from the opposite sex--but not feeling like I'm being hit on or something. Friendly attention.

Anyway. I've also known plenty of Cancers who have a ton of Gemini in their charts or whatever, and their concept of monogamy is indeed pretty different from mine.

And I am clingy, which is embarrassing to admit to, but true nonetheless.

So.

Violets - Have you seen the movie "Her"?
There is a scene in the movie that reminds me so much of the Pisces/Scorpio relationship... but I wasn't sure whether to mention it - because I don't want it to be a spoiler.

What you said is true.... because it always depends on the whole chart and the synastry. You can't assess things on Sun Signs alone.
There are exceptions to the classic Sun sign interaction.
But I still think - because he has Scorpio Sun/Mercury/Mars and Taurus Moon... a woman with a lot of mutable influence.. like Pisces - could break his heart.

I haven't seen it, Odette. People have to drag me to movie theaters kicking and screaming, unless it's Harry Potter, or a classic. (Also very embarrassing to admit to. But...well.)

I will admit that I've been unfaithful to a couple of people I had long-term relationships with, but the relationships were basically at their ending point, and for the most part the guys were real jerks, and I simply turned the tables on them eventually.

But I won't get into that, because it's dull and happened eons ago. The only other time it happened was when Pluto was square my Venus, and my concept of relationships had to undergo a major overhaul.

But...eh. I have Leo AC and Aqua Mercury conjunct DC, so I tend to not have much luck with Scorpios as far as relationships. We start to grate on each other after a short time, and it's always really obsessive on both sides, until it explodes.

I might edit this out later...TMI, probably.

I know what you mean, I'm Pisces Sun, Gemini rising with an Aries Venus, which should make me one of the most unfaithful person around. Go figure.
As for being clingy, I know that sometimes people can get the feeling I'm clingy. Actually, it's my silent way of complaining. I'll drop verbal hints too, but you won't catch them if you don't pay attention.
And then I'm gone.
And I don't look so clingy anymore

To answer the original question, if I take myself as an example, I think a Cancer would make a better match for a Scorpio than me.

you're basing your 'who is better' based solely on sun sign, which s probably the worst predictor of them all in terms of true compatibility. sun signs will not tell you who is your match; synastry will tell you who is your best match. your 'best match' may not even have her sun in pisces or cancer, but if she has a moon or venus, or even mars in those signs she'd be just as compatible. so you need to look well beyond the sun sign for your answer. but that being said, from what you described a cancer would suit you best if you want to stay home and not do much, they tend to be homebodies

Interesting.

Actually, the one Piscean woman I was with was extremely clingy. We spent three days in a house together over the weekend and she constantly had to be in the same room.

For example, I had to do some work in the computer room while we were there and I told her to watch TV or something. She said that she preferred to be in the same room with me and sat on the floor doing some drawings or whatever while listening to sappy, romantic music from her cell phone. This went on for three days.

Such an incredible woman. Like I said - I don't mind clinginess at all.

She was born on 3/7/1992. I think her Moon and Mercury are in Aries, which I'm not crazy about - but I did not notice much fire at all. She also has Venus and Mars in Aquarius, I believe - which again I'm not crazy about. The sex was out of this world though.

Thank you for sharing - Violets, cadoo, and starmoon.

Any suggestions based on those house placements? Someone asked me earlier about the placements of my Moon, Venus, and Mars.
