From all the Aquarian and Gemini people I know, they're not materialistic at all. But they're guys- guys don't tend to be in general i don't think :P Not even the Taurus guys. But the Capricorn I knew- oh yeah. Very much so. And Scorpio= materialistic. IP: Logged |

Virgo is pretty material too me... Not in the I must have stuff like taurus but more like things need to be in their places. It translates to their personal livesIP: Logged |

I don't think, at least for me, it has to do so much with the signs as it has to do with aspects (not discounting the traditional Cancer needs stable home, Cappy finances, Taurus possessions, etc.). I have both my Mars and Saturn conjunct in Capricorn, and I'm EXTREMELY unmaterialistic and spartan in EVERYTHING, except for love. I don't care about money as long as I'm taken care of in the basic necessities. I'm steadfast and unmoving. If I want something, I wait like a month until I purchase it to make sure I really want it. I also have Mars Conjunct Uranus and Jupiter trine Uranus, making me very non-comformist. I don't care about possessions and whatnot. I practically live out of my car (not really, but might as well..) I also have Virgo in south node, so my finances are a way of control that I fall back on. I just don't care for 'things.' This. My Moon is in Capricorn though, I get rid of anything that isn't practical and my house is quite spartan. I like going to OTHER people's houses that are comfortable but I couldn't imagine having to clean them. Things all over on the ground so you can't vacuum around them. UGH! I wish everything was on wires so I wouldn't have to deal with time wasting furniture shuffling. IP: Logged |

I have a Pisces friend who is the most superficial materialistic person I know. I was really quite surprised actually. IP: Logged |

So then in what way are the axises un-materialistic? In which houses? You'll have to explain more what is meant, I think, since most of us don't seem to get it. IP: Logged |

LucieLemonade, the axises Susan Miller talks about are the sun sign pairs:Aries-Libra Taurus-Scorpio Gemini-Sagittarius Cancer-Capricorn Leo-Aquarius Virgo-Pisces The link to her text is in my first post (the thread starter) and I listed the pairs on the 1st page in one post. Anything based on sun signs only is always too general, but following her thought, my take is that the two most unmaterialistic pairs are Gemini-Sagittarius and Virgo-Pisces. IP: Logged |

She does say these signs created the most billionaires. I'm guessing she meant sun signs. Anyway, I'm glad you mentioned Sag. I was going to say if we are just talking "energy", I think Sag & Pisces are probably the most un-materialistic. Not sure about Gemini or Virgo. Probably Virgo is less than Gemini.

One of the reasons my parents divorced was "money", my mum (Aqua Sun, Sag Moon) was (is) veeery materialistic, while my dad (Pisces Sun, Scorpio Moon) didn't care about it much. He moved to the forest with his new wife (another Pisces), and 2 of them don't give a rats a** about money IP: Logged |

Although I didn't post it, I understand how Pisces & Sagittarius would be unmaterialistic. Its because theyre spiritual instead..IP: Logged |

I agree with pisces. My best friend of 16 years is a fishy and while I spend most of my money on clothes she spends most of her money on experiences- going to the restaurant, movies, vacations etc. She does not care about luxuries, even though she likes to have some pretty things. For her birthday I wanted to buy her beautiful designer lingerie but then I decided to take her to a sushi restaurant. She was so happy about it, she said that she didn't need anything, it was more important to her to have a good time with me. I love her so much. The other unmaterialistic people that come to my mind are my gemini friends. These are the ones that can live in a tent as long as there's some beer, music and cool companionship.
