@Barbie ~ Fascinating and unusual Mercury placement You're lucky.I'm the same way about assuming that people understand me more than they actually do. I read into things, mentally coloring in the outlines, and usually with some accuracy, but not everyone does that. @Bella ~ 'Thought you were a Leo! K, now some of my cognitive dissonance has been resolved, you're more a winter type. Do you talk about your other placements here, and if so, will you post them? I'm super curious. Cap Mercuries make a ton of sense to me, usually. It's taken me a while to see the trends with them...some of the laconic or zero-emotion writing I've encountered, I took personally ("What did I do to make them sound abrupt?") before finally *getting it.* They are just this way. Anyways, I always enjoy your comments and don't see that rigid-thinking humorlessness with you. IP: Logged |

Faith, you really thought I was a Leo??? I am so flattered! I'm actually an Aquarius, but most never guess it. I get along with the majority of Leos, I do best with Virgo-influenced ones since I have plenty of Cap in my chart.Ironically my chart is Fire void so that is probably why I like and have a lot of Fire influenced friends- need to learn from them! I get really annoyed when someone will post a natal planet and say 'oh I'm Cap Mercury, therefore I can't communicate spontaneously.' Telling me you are a Cap Mercury doesn't tell me much without seeing the aspects to it. You are correct that Caps definitely have a reputation for being stoic in expression and talk that gets misinterpreted easily. I think I have mentioned a few of my natal aspects on occasion, but I don't want to hijack your thread. You should post a H&H thread- my chart is interesting to say the least! Glad you don't think I'm boring! IP: Logged |

Yes because...for example, your punctuation is fiery to me. Exclamation point, triple question marks. I'm Leo rising and tend to be very emphatic like that, EVEN using capitals (which spook some people, the mere sight of them!!) quote: Originally posted by BellaFenice: Ironically my chart is Fire void so that is probably why I like and have a lot of Fire influenced friends- need to learn from them!
NEVER would have guessed! Not even fire on your nodal axis? quote: Originally posted by BellaFenice: You should post a H&H thread- my chart is interesting to say the least!

Mercury in Aries/11th: Blunt and straight to the point. Strong and independent, think out of the box. Mercury opp. Pluto: deep, sharp, intuitive, penetrative, and analytical mind. A bit OCD, honestly. Definitely the researcher, and no subject is off limits to me...Tongue can be just as sharp; like a scalpel, and with Merc in Aries, I definitely need to keep a leash on that thing...Must take care to be tactful in communication. Opinionated and debates can be fun. Also easy to compartmentalize. This energy also bleeds into my art. Mercury trine Neptune: spiritual/psychic qualities, imaginative, helps by adding a softness in communication, can be poetic at times, and also feeds artistic expressions. Adds that ethereal quality, both in the work I produce, and the work/music I am drawn to. No troubles with this aspect, fortunately. I also have Mercury ssqu. Uranus. IP: Logged |

Mercury in Libra (4th): Great at negotiating. I highly dislike arguments (i.e. shouting matches) and being around them. I've been told that I'm really really polite (sometimes I overdo it on the thanking people I hear lol). I can look at two sides of everything which sucks sometimes because it can take me a while to decide on something. Mercury square Uranus: I actually love this aspect, helps me think outside of the box and I think that because of having this aspect, I get a lot of great and useful "ideas" that pop up from time to time. Mercury square Neptune: I think this aspect aided me in my musical abilities? I played the flute and piccolo for 6 years and rose to higher chair positions much faster than my peers. Not really artistic/creative in any other sense though (except writing) at least in my opinion. Mercury quincunx Saturn: I actually have no idea how this figures into my chart lol. Mercury square Ascendant: Not so sure about this aspect either. I've read that it's "supposed" to cause misunderstandings in the way I come across to other people but I've never noticed or heard anyone mention that about me. Could be wrong. Even with all of these harsh aspects I still did(currently do) well in school though. I'm even in school now to become a teacher one day .

I have Mercury, in Sagittarius square Moon, sextile Neptune and conjuct Pluto. And ironically, my Pluto is also in the third house! I communicate a lot like a typical Scorpio.IP: Logged |

I'm a virgo, so naturally my mercury means a lot to me, it's in libra in 4th house.Square neptune - I have a very lively imagination, I like telling stories, also stories that to a certain degree isn't exactly true (but not a lie either) I have been kind of afraid of direct communication with people for a long time though, so it's hard to be myself, but I love to speak, write and use words Square jupiter - I like to discuss big things, the world situation, things that needs a solution or that someone think at the bigger picture of things… how things evolve, how they look like in the future. It's unlike virgo, but I think this aspect makes me able to combine the good sides of the virgo detail-oriented, and the jupiters expanding mind Square saturn - If I manage to use my discipline despite of jupiter being a lazy pain in the a** I can really work hard, and kind of do anything I put my mind into… I can discipline my own mind and way of thinking into what exactly I want. If I want to be positive I can be, and I can make myself forget certain things. It can be both good and bad… I have the tendency to be afraid of talking, because it might not be correct. I always correct myself and reread a text many times, to be sure I didn't do something weird. It's important for me to analyze every single day and what I told different people, I have it all completely structured in my mind, but the moment I speak I forget it all lol… Square uranus (but wide about 8 degrees) I can only feel this aspect in the way that I always seems to understand things in a different way than everyone else… I have my completely own way and style about learning stuff, but that doesn't mean I can't explain myself or do something correctly… it's just still a bit different, which I think people also is going to like me for. My mercury is also retrograde. I use a lot of time at just thinking…I can lay wake all night, and I have periods of insomnia because I always think about stuff. But that is important for me, cause I have a slow mind, and If I stopped thinking about stuff, I would become a retard lol… it's important to think, when your mind is that slow as mine haha IP: Logged | |
