As an air sign, with only Pluto as my fire sign I can't seem to grasp the ideas of of fire signs nature. I'm an aquarius dating a Sag who happens to be Scorpio heavy, which is kind of good for me.
But I notice no matter how giving they are, they can be quite selfish. They have this mind set that they have to feel good, they always ask, 'but what about what I want?"
And when it comes to what I want, they are like, 'no let's do this instead, I'm sure you'll like it'
Oh and when you try to satisfy them, they aren't all that happy or content. They seem to find something wrong about what you just done.

Well firstly if he were selfish believe me he wouldn't say "what about me", he would essentially be saying "me first". Fire signs are extremely loyal and like to be treated equally, if they aren't being treated the same way they treat their loved one then they feel as if they don't exist, or matter to that person. He's also like you said water heavy, which means he expects the exact same and so much more. That water wants to be the first thing you think of in the morning and the last thing you think of at night. It's all or nothing and absolutely not for the faint hearted. Secondly you're an Aquarius, they are selfish by nature, with an it's "always about me" approach. You can't grasp their nature because it's only about you, and what you want in your own head and then him, it's alien to you. Now obviously the whole chart should be taken into consideration, but if we want to generalize then Aqua is the selfish one in the sense of their inconsistent, aloof and detached ways. Fire are the loyal ones, who expect to be treated equally, if they aren't then they'll say "what about me" or just leave. I don't see that as being greedy, but wanting to be treated the same way he treats you, not to mention his wateriness expects the same and much more. **All from my own observations and experiences.** I am a water dominant Libra, raised around the most selfish, heavy Aqua man ever, and married to a Leo. What about me ...sounds more like Scorpio than Sag to me. Afflicted Scorpio at that. Water is much more prone to sulking and passive aggressive attitude than fire...and especially Sag ... IP: Logged |

I ALWAYS felt like I was there for when SHE wanted me to be. It didn't matter what I wanted . She was like a stray cat that came in for food when she felt like it, otherwise just ran off. So it wasn't like having a companion, but a critter that came and went. In reference to the quoted portion above... exactly. I just want to feel as an equal part of the team. I'll voice it, and if I don't get results I'll move on to where I feel like I do matter and am a part of the team. ("Team" also being equal part of the relationship) IP: Logged |

My boyfriend isnt generally like that, but there are moments where he goes overboard on what he wants. There are sometines moments when I am the guilty party, when I just want to have alone time for myself and do things I want to do without him when all he wants is spend time with me.
I give more to him than I receive because I choose to have it like this, because I feel odd being a reciever.I mainly started this thread from the heat of the moment. My mom is an aries is so much more greedier and impulsive than any fire sign I have ever met. Its like she can never appreciate what I do around the house. She would rather complain and be all what about me, im so tired... and crap.
And i feel that majority of relationships with fire signs have been as though I am their slave and everything I do is insufficient. I think that's why me and this Leo guy ended things. IP: Logged |

But he's water heavy. It's all of the water being that way and you're an Aqua, not able to understand people who don't want "boundaries". What's your mom's chart look like? You want your own space to do your own thing.
Fire signs, maybe not selfish but when they want something, they will tell you! It may come across as selfish because you, an Aqua are so demanding of your freedom. It's difficult for you to put yourself in the other shoes and visa versa. You don't understand how someone wouldn't need so much freedom and we don't understand how someone wouldn't want more closeness.
He does have water yes, but that Sag sun will ask for what it wants.
Fire signs in general won't expect you to be mind readers (which I appreciate LOL)

Its probably all the scorpio in his chart, opposite his moon in taurus.
My leo ex was pretty much balanced in elements but he lacked air.
Actually my mom only has saturn in aquarius, being her only air sign. She is water and fire heavy like my bf. He also lacks air, but has saturn in aquariu ds as well.

Fire signs selfish??? As a Pseudo-Leo let me tell you I am morally offended!!!!So why am I so selfish with my 1st house stellium? I am very much offended by this. Generalizations are just plain mean and inconsiderate. Think of it, it's probably not the fire that's baffling you out. You never mentioned your dominant elements. You said he's a water heavy fire sign and it seems like you can't handle that. You must be air or earth dominant person. Don't just put the blame on him and other fire signs. Check your own chart first before you start pointing fingers at other zodiac signs.IP: Logged |

Guessing that Pluto is in Sag (unless you're "old" and it's in Leo  )
Since pluto is Scorps ruler and he has lots of scorp..... initial attraction but lack of understanding after that. (?) Anyone else think so?

Isn't that what you're doing? You'd have to be stating something only you want, if they are asking "But what about me?" If so, it's not that they want you to like what they like but I would think they're looking for something you BOTH like and just bad at expressing that. But then this >> quote:

This is kinda true. It's super easy to lead as a fire sign although when put in the right context it isn't "leading" so much as just being pushy to the other person. I'm triple Aries. Can't help but understand that they don't mean any harm in it. It's more like "I love this! I love this, don't you love this? This is great!" All the while completely missing or ignoring that you…don't love it. To them they're introducing you to something new that you wouldn't normally try. It doesn't dawn on them (me? hehe) maybe you KNOW what you like and don't like. Maybe you're more subdued or cool. Being that way puzzles us. I m taurus heavy with a leo AC and aries moon, 9th house stellium. I always try to be less selfish, and admire people with those qualities such as pisces, cancer, Air signs .. and in fact i m often Tender hearted warm and care for others. It s just.. I usually know what i want. If Things go Differently or people Even want to punish me by crossing my Plans - i can go Crazy. If something that s Important to me doesnt go the Way i want i really suffer! That s the Point! i really get unhappy and my Day s over. Even if it s just the choice of a Restaurant which has changed. Sometimes i think other signs are just more Easy going with such Things because they Don t suffer so mich when Things Don t go their Way. Yep. It's not just fire that's selfish or water that is selfish. Its a combination of elements. You have the impulsivity and priority of 'self' in fire, and the sensitivity and emotional depth of water in one chart. There's no balance, so the individual is bound to be a very subjective person even IF Sag I'd a mutable and cerebral fire sign. IP: Logged |

I find fire and fire are the best, especially two fires that have alot of water placements from the previous sign (ex: sag with heavy scorp or aries with heavy pisces like me). Fire and air are nonetheless still good together!!
