Which one is more scattered and elusive?

I know aspects and the chart are important but I'm just singling these two out...

Noo.Not fair. You can't single them out like that. There is more to the story than that.

The sign is the "knowing" of an issue. But the house is the actual "experience". So which is more important? Can you even make a pick?

Put it like this; the Moon in Pisces may know all about wines and champagnes, but it is the Moon in 12th who often "feels" drunk and gets the hangovers.

The Moon in Pisces is the "knowledge" or "awareness" of other realms, other worlds and even sensitivity to it.

The Moon in 12th is the "experience" of other worlds, realms and actually lives it.

You are more likely to find 12th house Moons deal with issues of alcoholism, drug abuse, depression and isolation than you are to find those who strictly have their Moon in Pisces.

Don't even get me started on Neptune sitting on the Moon.....

What if your moon in 12th is in a grand trine with Venus, and Neptune/Uranus(conjunction). Does that intensify the experiences, or are things slightly better?

I think it would intensify the experience.

I am assuming that the other planets(namely Venus, Neptune/Uranus conjunct) are in water houses 4th and 8th too?

The presence of such would intensify psychological and/or emotional experiences.

We could write a book about you

How have you experienced it though? I am only basing this on an assumption; since I have a stellium of planets in 8th myself.

The emotional experiences of this house are, at times, quite heavy-going.

@aries23: see, @tgem has been wondering the same question so it's fair :P thank you got clarifying. I have 12th house moon and recently I was interested in reading about Pisces moon and then realized that my moon might be worse .... Alyssa Sharpe calls pisces moon the serial killer moon. I'm not sure what to call myself. So the 12th moon experience s the other realm but can't sense it? My sensitivity is very high but very elusive. I can never tell how I feel but I tend to go through soaked in this neptunian sea until my saturn pulls me back ..,

My trines are both in Earth so I don't know how it affects things, but your take was on the money especially regarding emotional intensity, and sensitivity or drugs and alcohol. I too, was trying to understand the difference of energy.

12th house planets are so odd to understand. I find that I never use drugs and alcohol, but when I do it helps me connect the universal dots. However, the fall is horrible every time; It takes me weeks to get back to normal. Like this weird bleeding effect.

I feel, but i don't like displaying how I feel so it comes off cold and unaffected. But I feel deeply. Then I isolate myself

Idk I hate having my moon in 12th.

This is my experience too.

I have to make myself not do certain things because I know I'm prone to addiction.

@faith: yeah. I can't wait for the pisces moon of Sag pluto generation. the pisces moon in the Scorp pluto tend to be a little bit more sane

As one with a stellium in 12th and my moon being apart of that I really liked your analogy, agreed with it very much.

Control is the key for us 12th housers, it'll open up so many positive doors.

I have an unaspected virgo moon in 12th and I agree with the experience of the 12th house being very neptunian, i don't think just the moon alone will cause issues with alcoholism, drug abuse or depression.
I've seen many ppl with placements in 12th that have major issues with this but usually the planet is harshly aspected.
My moon with no aspects to it did leave me feeling isolated and lonely but I never recognized I felt this way, I've always viewed myself as relatively happy and ok.
It took me a long time to realize I wasn't happy, I was lonely....but maybe that's because my moon is unaspected? I've never had issues with drugs or alcohol....never been attracted to them at all.
I've never taken depression meds or anything like that I like to feel my body n mind maintains itself.

So to me, the 12th house can cause isolation issues or feeling disconnected from parts of yourself but to manifest into real life escapism issues, I think the aspects to your 12th house placements will make a huge difference in if you fall down that hole or if you don't.
That being said, I've seen pisces fall apart for no apparent reason. They had no harsh aspects to their pisces placements at all, they just get lost trying to live between the real and the unseen. It's not easy to live in reality when you walk between these 2 worlds.
I think a pisces placement would have a harder time finding a way to ground themselves than a 12th house placement would, IMO. The reason I think this is because a pisces personal planet is a part of you, the house is how the planets energy is directed.

But then again, I'm speaking from my experience and my 12th house placement is in an Earth sign, so I could be wrong.

I feel for ppl with pisces placements in 12th that are afflicted....I knew a recovering 15-20 year addict of Heroine or anything he could shoot up. He had a 12 the house pisces Mars square his gemini Venus and saggy Neptune. Brilliant guy, put himself through medical school and graduated highest in his class addicted to heroine, a few months after getting his license he lost it because the medical board realized his was addicted to drugs and stealing them from the hospital. He's was clean for 2 years so they gave him his license back but still drug tested him randomly every week. 4 years go by, they stop testing him for alcohol, so he starts drinking again, then they lesson how often he's drug tested to only 2 times a month, so now he plans vacations around when they test him, he makes sure the vacations are long enough that he can do drugs n get by with it because it will be out of his system by the time he gets back n has to test again...poor guy! He's not even out of the woods and he's already getting lost again!
He just bought his own practice n is crazy busy, but the more they loosen up in him the more he goes back to drugs.

It's interesting.

Gacy and Ramirez both had sun-moon-Mercury and south node in Pisces, with Venus in Aquarius.

Moons at critical degrees, right near the cusp:

Gacy's moon @ 29 Pisces
Ramirez's moon @ 30 Pisces

Don't really agree about 12th house having it easier than Pisces, at least a Pisces can have other houses to operate from, but 12th house planets are stuck, no where to go. A Pisces with a 10th house stellium will probably fair much better than a person with 12th house planets especially when you got the Sun, Mercury, Moon, and Mars there, these are major part of the personality and they are locked down like the Moon is locked and we only see one side. That is why 12th house planets are like retrograde planets, they are felt very deeply. I'm not saying it's not difficult being a Pisces because it can be. Let's say we are on equal footing that 12th, Pisces, and Neptunian people are very similar. All it takes is a crappy transit, circumstances, or health stuff to rattle us to the extreme.

I have all Water planets in 12th, so it's like double Water. Having planets in the other 3 elements (air, earth, fire) in the 12th house is not as strong as having Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio planets in the 12th that is when the 12th can get very interesting...

i actually think that 12th moon ppl like me have it tougher than pisces moon. I totally agree with you. When it's your moon sign, intuition is integrated.

My moon is in aries so I am confused most of the time about how I feel. It's so diffused. Yet because of Aries being my moon sign, I am prone to ignore that fact and just go out and about.

Not only that, my moon tightly square my venus and north node. So issues of abandonment are major in my life. I am just not sensing them.

I'm still trying to put the meaning of all the placements of my chart together. From what I've gathered so far, I have a gem moon in 12th which seems to fight with my cancer sun. I can totally relate to some of the issues that other 12th house people are going through. I don't have a problem with substance abuse but do suffer from self imposed isolation. The reason I call it self imposed isolation is I'm exhausted after dealing with a large group of people. I need the isolation to regain my strength.

7H Pisces Moon & DSC. Holy moly have I had my share of people with addictions. Back in the mid 90's I was snorting or smoking heroin regularly & stopped (twas not easy) when I started entertaining the idea of upgrading to needles. The sick thing part is that I didn't start using until after I lost some friends to overdoses & was totally against heroin for a very long time. I was in a very emotionally & sometimes physically abusive relationship at the time; I actually think I was doing the Neptunian escapism thing. I also have Saggi Venus conjunct Neptune: curiousity/impulsivity + the need to transcend is not always the best combo.

12th house mooners don't say much about their pain, we take it in and hold into it, we isolate and hurt alone. Rarely do we act out on others due to our pain but we do allow others to hurt us at times, either due to it being all we know or maybe we believe we deserve it in some way.
I think pisces mooners get their aggression out, they still have some amount of self esteem that allows them to at least be passive aggressive with ppl who treat them bad.
12th house mooners, we are so lost at times we can't figure out that we don't deserve to be hurt....so we don't fight back, we just accept it.

I hear a lot about Pisces/12th house/Neptunian energy getting addicted to drugs. I dont agree with that. I have no desire to take drugs. The Pisces I also know dont take drugs. It's from a moralistic view. My morals are against taking street drugs. Not saying I haven't thought of it doing it during my severe depression stage. Only because I didn't want to live anymore and I couldn't kill myself so I just wished I was dumb. But I couldnt get myself to resort to that. Instead I prayed to God.

I posted my chart on here and asked about why I have had a problem with habitually listening to music in order to escape to an alternate universe for me since I was young. Someone discribed it as getting a high off music. I havent ever thought of it thar way, but since they mentioned it, it made sense actually. So maybe that's my case? I dont know.

I wouldnt say I have it harder than a Pisces moon, since I dont know how they feel so I dont feel like I have the place to say. But the way Pisces moon is described sounds way better than a 12th house moon. 12th house moon is so hard to understand? While Pisces moon gets all the good traits. People always say these people are sweethearts. 12th house moons? We get plaqued as detached. People dont always get to know or see our vulnerabilities. So people assume we dont feel? Not to mention that I am a Piscean with a Pisces stellium people think Im a ditz. I still would like to know the difference between 12th house mooners and Pisces mooner. One thing I have observed though is that I think Pisces moon people are more outgoing and sociable while 12th house mooners are introverted and shy? Maybe its just me? Because I notice my friends and classmates in my age range who are only 3 days apart from me, having a Pisces moon they were more outgoing than me. A lot more. But just an observation.
