The Mars placement in the the other guy is the killer and the very karmic past life issue, he wouldn't be a different person if he didn't have that Mars placement.

Your guy is missing that, I think he has a chance to have a real genuine happy relationship with the right person if he chooses.

I think if you keep in mind that this guy needs variety!
One person is one experience, he craves multiple experiences, different or unique ways to learn, your challenge will be how to keep it interesting for him.
This doesn't mean your not good enough, you are but he is built with a natural desire to gather information on love, it's esp deeply important to him with his Pluto trining gem Venus. To help him be a one woman man, he would need a woman who gives him variety, surprise him, make him feel like he's getting unique experiences with you alone and doesn't need anything else.

If Mars in Libra cheats is:

-when romance/seduction are missing in the relationship and the partner no longer injects romance into the relationship. Love for Mars in Libra has to be very romantic/seductive.

- when Mars in Libra is addicted to physical beauty and lets itself carried away with this

It doesn't justify cheating, however.
