Cancer Moon.My mood can literally "accentuate" the taste of food. But I can also refuse to eat when in a bad mood. I once threw a hunger strike and refused to eat anything for 2 days when I was young. I was so angry. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I suppose it is, haha. Thanks I think it has something to do with my Leo Ascendant's dispositor; the Sun, in Virgo, because my Sun is the only Virgo placement I have (unless we count two of the five major asteroids; Pallas and Vesta), yet, I feel the Virgo energy within me strongly. It strengthens the Virgo Sun (or any sign the Sun is in when someone has a Leo Ascendant) placement by making it more conscious with how it's perceived by people and more in-tune with their true-self, as the Ascendant is our outer personality and the Sun is our self-expression and inherent identity - and Leo is ruled by the Sun, so it only enhances this theme of the "self" in our personality. So when we funnel these energies into Virgo, we get someone who is overly conscious with how they are perceived by the world and how they personally feel about themselves when concerning how useful they are (even more so with me because I have my Sun in the 2nd House of self-worth and conjunct Chiron) and how their existence can benefit and improve a practical cause with the uttermost assurance and perfection of the utilization of their skills and intellectual capabilities with the guidance of the all-infused will-power of the Virgo Sun being disposited by the Leo Ascendant's ruler; the Sun, which is working with the Ascendant to acquire a higher quality and authentic embodiment of the self within the psyche of the Virgo Sun individual. This only strengthens their need to fulfill their purpose in it's own unique style and expression... the Virgo style So they feel that they not only have to prove to the world/Universe that their existence is significant, but most importantly, to themselves. Because without having confidence in their own abilities will mean that the energy and unique talents that they possess will not productively be expressed and directed into a meaningful and ultimately "useful" path toward self-fulfillment of their being. I might have got carried away there talking about my placement, so I'm sorry for that IP: Logged |

10H Taurus Moon sextile Sun/Merc quincunx Mars/UranusI love food, but my appetite is pretty erratic. Usually I'd rather prepare food for others than for myself. I won't eat anything that isn't visually appealing and I prefer savory/spicy to sweet/rich foods. When I was young I was a vegetarian before I even knew what it was, refusing to eat any type of meat. The thought of eating a living creature mortified me. I actually had nightmares about half eaten animals coming after me after the first time I tried chicken nuggets lol I was very young then. Now, I do eat meat, but very sparingly. I can't eat anything that is still on the bone. It makes me nauseous just thinking about it. Or things with skin, ugh. I picture a friend of mine telling me how "the skin is the best part!" As he grabbed a piece of chicken and proceeded to pull the skin off in one fell swoop then devour it smacking his lips. I had to leave the table. I dont deal well with rude eating habits, either. Hearing someone else chew grosses me out and eventually makes me angry. Chew with your friggin mouth closed! I've taken things away from people (I warn them it's gonna happen) for being open mouth chewers.. like chips. Crumbs flying every where and the sound of the crunching and smacking is enough to make me hurl...a rock at their face. I love fresh veggies, steamed veggies, roasted veggies lol and grilled fruit is just... epic. Im not super picky and I do like to try new things, but if I cant look at it and appreciate it, its not going in my mouth. Nor if I cant get it past my nose. No stinky cheese for this chick. Im a little neurotic when it comes to food, lol. IP: Logged |

Pisces moon in 10th house.I don't eat much. Mostly 2 times a day, sometimes 3. I eat a lot of take-away food because I am too lazy to make food myself. When I was little my appetite was huge, and I could eat so much all day long. Now I only eat very small portions, and I have become more of a snob now. It's not because I want to lose weight (cause I am already too skinny) I just can't eat. I eat a lot of candy to just hold the weight. If I skip eating candy I lose weight again and get more skinny, but it would probably be more healthy for me…. I don't no, I just hate food (and I am also a virgo sun) Moon opposite sun Square uranus Opposite mars IP: Logged |

Taurus moon in the 5th.I definitely graze like a cow in the pasture LOL. I rather eat small portions various times during the day than a huge portion at meals. In fact, I can't eat too much in one go. I get full quickly. I am vegan and I try to only eat organic and non-GMO food. I am very health conscious. However, I am a super sweet tooth too and I love to bake. The upside down pineapple cake is one of my favourite victims... People that make noises while they eat or eat with their mouth open really put me off too. IP: Logged |

Taurus Moon in the third house.I love to eat! And I have a huge appetite. But the thing is I'm a finicky eater at the same time, which caused lots of strife at family get-togethers when I was a kid. But my family has accepted the fact that i'm extremely stubborn and picky about what I will eat and won't eat. To me eating is pleasurable and I like to eat what I want to eat when I want to eat it. I have never been about eating what's healthy, I have always eaten what tastes good to me and unfortunately I think most healthy foods taste like crap. But... That is something i'm trying to change! When I was younger I had a very narrow menu and was hesitant to try new things but as I've gotten older I have become more and more open-minded about food and I love foods that I would never have eaten in the past. Oh.. And I definitely love eating out more than eating at home. Could that be the 3rd house coming into play? IP: Logged |

He wont eat anything that tastes blah. Food must taste good to be edible. But he doesnt like junk food either. IP: Logged |

I have a Sag moon, but I like bland foods and I often get stuck on a single thing for weeks on end and I don't get bored. Right now it's split pea soup. I am also not adventurous in my eating at all. I don't try exotic foods from around the world, etc. The most "ethnic" thing I make is vindaloo curry and the only reason I ever tried it is because my hubby is British and he likes curry. If it weren't for him, I would still be eating tomato sandwiches, split pea soup and butternut squash soup. *lol*
I'm a sag moon and don't like spicy foods either. Sushi is my favourite but other than that not adventurous. My Jupiter is in cancer and sometimes like home cooking slow cooked like French style. Like dairy, creamy foods. Chocolate but not cake or ice cream. Swing from very healthy to very indulgent foods and appetite has similiar extremes.. have to have go all the way with either and then tip to the opposite I also can go for weeks eating the same thing and a strange habit is to have weird combinations of food but not mixed together. A Scorpio friend used to do similar and be fixated on a limited food so I put it down to Pluto influence. Moon is h2 so that could be it. IP: Logged |

I also have a tendency to eat the same stuff over and over again, altough i will eat just about everything, i eat like 5-6 eggs a day, same goes for bananas. I also love good meat and cheese. Also an important addition to every meal is having a snus(sweedish dip-like tobacco) afterwards, that's just complete bliss ^^ IP: Logged |

This is an interesting topic and encourages me to put a Moon sign related permanent page back on my site. comments: Moon in Aries: Often too busy or too outwardly engaged (mind-driven) to have much appetite. But when they do eat well, they feel better and perform better. My niece is like this. Her mother has to urge her to take better care of her nutrition and eat well while she is away at college. Moon in Taurus: Enjoys the feeling of just about any kind of food as it goes down; can be a bit indulgent and have a weakness for sweets. Food is part of just enjoying life for an earthy person. Prone to diabetes if discipline is not exercised over sweets. Moon in Gemini: Similarly to Aries, too active but with threads of mental connections, to usually be of a full appetite which disappears if the mental state/nerves are not settled. Will generally have to force a routine to settle down to eat properly. Moon in Cancer: Often these people's lives revolve around the kitchen anyway, but for the better since they often enjoy cooking, grilling and putting together a well prepared meal for themselves and friends/family. Tendency to over-indulge in sweets or food in general. Moon in Leo: The fire types generally have a stronger appetite for and greater need of meat, so these heavier foods tend to fall onto the plates of these fire types. However, many women take such pride in their appearance that they exercise control over portions and are determined to keep the metabolic fires burning with adequate exercise. Moon in Virgo: Picky, even about how food is prepared, maybe even more than the Virgo rising types. Like the Moon in Gemini types, it may take a lot to get the stomach settled to desire food since it can be constantly affected by circumstances and mental activity or worries. Moon in Libra: Can be easily encouraged to eat if the atmosphere is nice and the good well-presented. Otherwise, a tendency to enjoy sweets too much, as well as those smooth, creamy things that look, taste and smell wonderful but have a nightmarish calorie content (Starbucks). Moon in Scorpio: Can handle meat and food in general as well as the fierier types do, but can also exert more control when determined. There is often an enjoyment of spicier foods which can stimulate them out of any sluggishness they experience. Any food allergies may take on an extreme effect on the body. Moon in Sagittarius: These are the 'try anything' types, whether it is international cuisine or diets. They can be as health-oriented as they can be indulgent. It really depends entirely upon how they orient their lives overall, not just the mood that takes them to the table. Moon in Capricorn: Probably more capable of discipline at the table on average than others. Can see certain foods or beverages as beneath them, and once such a thing has been blacklisted it simply will not be consumed. Similarly to Moon in Libra, can be appetized by preparation and presentation. Moon in Aquarius: Possibly more ambivalent on average about eating itself than the other Moon signs, but also can be keenly aware of the importance of nutrition to people in general and of the politics of food. Prone to idealistic reasons for choice of diet (veganism, etc) oriented towards societal balance. They are oriented towards balance, so this would be observable over time in their eating patterns, not necessarily at every meal. Moon in Pisces: This is the 'sensitive' Moon sign that may have to be very careful about diet in general or at least the extremes of indulgence or extreme allergies. Appetite probably affected by more factors than any sign, poor self-worth (self-denial), psychic atmosphere, past bad experiences with food, etc. ------------------ Expert rectification, professional astrology consults http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/ Complete desriptions of all Rising Signs: https://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs-2/ IP: Logged |

Leo Moon in 12th house. I am surprisingly Vegan for a year now. I exercise quite a bit, and eat 5 small meals a day. I can't help but though, and I love herbs and seasonings. I don't eat when I'm nervous or upset due to my Virgo Rising, and Gemini Sun. That could also explain why I am always thinking about what goes into my body, where it came from, what type of quality it is, if it's good for me, and how long it will take to digest. I love chocolate, hate sweet candies like airheads, or jolly ranchers. IP: Logged |

I have a healthy appetite for food, my favorite types are comfort foods and healthy fare. Only funny thing is that sometimes I get caught up in what I'm working on and will end up skipping a lot of meals. I won't even feel the hunger, then gradually I'll start to feel weakened and as if my body is feeding off of itself (which it probably is). Then I have to pull myself away from whatever has my attention and get back into the habit of meal planning, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. It's not about the food, it's that I feel better plowing through whatever I'm working on. I feel that I work much better when at a sustained pace, but I eventually burn out and have to take care of myself again. Such is life Capricorn Moon square Saturn. I feel pretty good running in machine mode. That and just the fact that a lot of breaks p iss me off. IP: Logged |

I live in the city, so - there's not much diversity in terms of hunting. Usually just cats and dogs. And don't get me wrong - i don't hunt stray dogs and stray cats. -_- I mean, they spend most of their time in garbage cans and other unsanitary places... Would be quite foolish to hunt those - when there's plenty of vaccinated dogs and cats around. They have masters - that's true, but - that doesn't make the hunting any harder. It used to be hard - back in the old days, when their owners used to pay attention to their animals - even played with them. Was really hard to snatch their pet in those times - but not impossible. With enough practice - i became quite good at it. Well, that was then and this is now. This days - it's really easy - thanks to newer technologies like - "cellphones" - which capture all the attention of their owner, while their dog is squirreling around in the leash. Poor animals. I guess - I'm doing them a favor. They sure act like they miss them after they're gone - printing all kind of adds - with missing dogs and cats. Though, trust me on this one - they're not missing much. I mean, have you ever ate a Chihuahua? There's not much meat on their bones and not very tasty either (tastes like rat meat - i should know better, cause that's what i used to hunt when i was younger) - i give you that... It barely lasts for a day - and I have to go hunting again. It's same with cats. And those - would be the bad days. While the good days... well, sometimes - i get lucky enough to catch a Saint Bernard (maybe you've seen the movie: "Beethoven" - that's the one). A 150 Saint Bernard can last me for a whole week and if it's coked right, its meat - is simply delicious. MmmMmmM! Not many of those around. Unfortunately. Most of their owners seem to be foreigners. Other than that - in spring and summer time - i hunt a lot of birds, especially pigeons. The city is full of them - like the town square. But we also have a forest nearby - and sometimes i get lucky with some rare bird which... i don't even know its name. But. i am learning. Some get into birding for the trill of watching - I'm into it for the hunt. So Moon in Aries of me... I know.
hahaha I loled when I read this. And then I remember that I come from a place where some people actually consider dogs n cat delicacies..... IP: Logged |

Caged animals raised in cruel conditions - can imply a lot of pent-up stress. And, even after they're slaughtered - to be served in a restaurant, their meat - still carries that negative imprint - which is defined by the way they lived and the way they died. Thus, that type of meat - really doesn't sound appealing to me (some say - it can be cancerous). There's a way of things - a natural order that's quite visible in nature - more specifically (to this case) - in the animal kingdom. And by following those ways - by doing things in a somehow similar way - to the way they occur in nature - the meat of an animal can be a blessing (the meat of an animal that felt in tune (a sense of freedom) with nature) - instead of a curse (a cause for some kind of disease).I like to believe that - most animals intended for company (like cats and dogs) - can be in tune with that type of freedom. Cats... are cats, they can adapt easily - both to city and rural conditions. Dogs on the other hand - if we're to talk about a city apartment (most are quite small in terms of space - though, big enough to fit the needs of a humans) - that's "almost" the equivalent of a cage to a dog, only the love of their owner - can make it bearable or comfy enough for their needs. Sooo... if you wanna eat healthy meat in the city - company animals like those mentioned above - might be the best solution. "Society" - might be against "this type of hunt" - so, as a way to rebel against society - and stay healthy, keep away from Hotdogs (processed food) and "have a dog on a leash!" Hunt it down - like our ancestor used to (Aries style)! Hmmm... this makes me wonder: In my chart the Moon is in Aries and Venus is in Leo - so i guess it makes sense for me to be into pussycats and daugs. That being said - could a Aries Moon with Venus in Aquarius - be a cannibal? O_O At least - Aquarius stands for society and people in general, so - they have a lot of options - to chose from. Imagine someone with Aries Moon and Venus in Virgos! Ouch! Finding a Virgin Sacrifice this days... Yeah... good luck with that one. On the other hand an Aries Moon with Venus in Pisces - might have it easy. Probably - all of them are fisherman (and fisherwomen - wouldn't wanna upset the feminists -_-). IP: Logged |

I am a huge huge chocoholic I tend to eat more times a day but small meals, but I can also go with no food at all during a day. I am also very big on fruits, I cant go one day without some sort of fruit, if its not raw then a juice. I like my veggies too, but more a fruit person. I love love spices too and I love to cook. I could do without meat but I do like it. Most of all I am sugar person. Junk is not my thing, I dont like fried or oily foods they disgust me. When in the kitchen cooking, I need my space I dont want you hovering and I dance while I cook and sing to haha , maybe this is due to my sun in pisces too. Hard to say. I used to be real fond of food products (pizza - more than anything) made with processed food like "salami" - which was suppose to be made of pork meat. But with time passing - the taste kept changing. Some say - it could be related to the extra chemicals used - intended to reduce production cost (and increase income - while endangering our health). That could be it - i guess, but sometimes - i wondered about the meat contents - wouldn't be surprised if one of those salamis was made out of stray dogs. O_O Then, there's the pork meat itself or chicken meat. My grandma used to raise those animals - and latter their meat was used for all kind of culinary delights. So, technically speaking - i guess... i did eat some pets. As for above stories - that's just "astro-talk" - or more like astro-sarcasm in this case. :P More often than not - astro-talk has very little to do with reality - and more to do with astrological concepts - which, those who are into astrology - can relate to real life events - while focusing to much on occurrences similar to those astrological descriptions. But if we're to pay more attention on similar events on a daily basis - one could realize that "they take place even when that astrological event (transit for example) - doesn't occur". Basically there's no astrological explanation - for such events. Unless we're to stretch astrology to all kind of asteroids - which imply similar descriptions to those of a certain planetary transit. Yeah... IP: Logged |
