Uppity isn't the best attribute but I can hear it...I haven't had etiquette coaching but I've taken theater lessons and most of my teachers pay attention to eloquence and etiquette.

I was actually most attracted to your voice (if that makes sense). I think you sound like the kind of person I would like.

Isn't it weird how humans interact? We are attracted to people based on so many variables: appearance, sound, scent, etc. I find it so cool and so weird at the same time.

Thank you so much! I think we would get along, we seem to be on the same wavelength What matters the most to me when I meet people is the way they talk, their facial expression and posture, it says so much about them!

Edit: BTW, I really like your talking voice & singing voice. Your normal talking voice is not harsh, intimidating or overpowering to me at all. It sounds very confident and clear. I don't think it's that deep either... you sound very feminine to me.

You'd make a great presenter or public speaker. Maybe even an actress in theater because you could project your voice properly.

I'm actually an Aries sun, mercury, and venus and it all sextiles my Mars and ASC in Gemini, and thank you for the compliments!

Funny I was just thinking today I wanted to act. I imagine scenes in my head all the time...definitely loved Speech class and excelled in it except for technicalities and the occasional stalling / nervousness.

I love listening to everyone's voices! I think it's much more comfortable than that thread we had years ago of people putting videos of themselves up. I'm surprised more people haven't joined in.

I think you keep people on the edge of their seats when you speak, like you never know what's going to come out of your mouth or what you're thinking? Otherwise I can sense you're pretty calm and comfortable sharing - no rushed quality to your segment and your voice is in a normal tone, neither loud nor soft.

Well poop. I was way off. *lol*

And yes, I am also surprised more people haven't chimed in. I have imagined a few people's voices here and it would be interesting to actually hear them!

I have a VERY bad habit of just speaking and not thinking. This often results in laughter or less commonly, hurt feelings. Inhibitions? I have none. :/

I am also prone to random outbursts of sound effects. I went into the bank and made a whoosh-y sound effect when passing my deposit slip through the slot to the teller. She looked at me like I was nuts, so I told her, "I have kids... it's hard to turn that off" and then she laughed. But it was a very uncomfortable laugh.

Oh and songs. I randomly break into song. I will walk into a room and do this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVPNXsc4wsQ

I usually feel really dumb afterwards, but at the time of initiation, it seemed like a great plan. *lol*

Nope, I can totally see it. And I high five you for it because the world needs more genuine entertainment! That's the feeling too is that you'd crack me up. Crazy how we can get that from 60 seconds of a voice!

As long as there are people out there to appreciate me, that's cool!

Geeky, I laughed at the *swoosh* thing! For some reason, I can picture it perfectly, even the teller's facial expression and all. Sounds like a scene right out of a sitcom hahahaha!

I agree 100%. I am extremely attuned to people's energy. Facial expressions are extremely important because I find it very easy to see even the slightest insincerity in a golden, seemingly genuine smile!

Hannarama and Geeky... I also expected more people to join in but I'm not sure if people are just uninterested or shy. I think it's an interesting topic regardless and a nice way to get to know each other better.

@PisceanDream: Heh, thank you <3 I like your voice very much as well. It's very clear and articulate, easy to listen to. And yes I do try to pick 'the right words'... being glib is not my forte, unfortunately.

@Geeky: You sound so bubbly! Very mercurial, the words flow very easily. I can picture you major-multitasking while doing this lol.

Nd yeah, people hear me best when I'm irritated, haha. Oddly enough, I did participate in speech tournaments to improve, but in my natural speaking voice, I still have to put in effort to sound louder.

@hannaramaa: You sound like you'd be really easy for me to get along with... your voice seems 'fun' to me haha.

@12muddy: *-* I reaaally like your voice, so dreamy.

@Moon is Lunatic: Your voice is very distinctive. Clear-cut + professional! I see the Capricorn influence.

@Dancing Maenad: I like your sense of humor, lol, I was giggling throughout your clip Your voice seems to be blunt-ish, like 'tell it like it is.'

@aquascorpleo: Energetic voice! I see the Air/Martian influence.

@birdsong: hey, you sound like meeeeee

I've been interested in voice and the chart too. I've looked mostly at how celebrities speak and compare their charts. Men with unusual/captivating speech or singing voices often have Venus conjunct Mercury or in strong aspect.

Thank you so much! In that particular clip I'd just woken up about 20 minutes prior, so the morning rasp was still there. It's funny though because even though I find my voice deeper than other females, I DO like raspy voices and wish I had one!!

Yeah you did have that rasp. Anyway, beautiful! I'd record mine but dont have a mic. It would be interesting to compare ours since we are nearly astro twins!

omg! You sound exactly like marzia from youtube. You have to check her video out it's strange how much your voices sound alike!

Here's one of her videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CDt0iV6Adc

The sound of our voice - is different to an external source - because the other perceive it solely from the exterior - while we, as the ones who produce the sound - hear a mix of both the interior (the sound passing through our head) and the exterior (what comes out). So - yeah, the way we hear ourselves - is not the same as others hear us - as can be heard on a recording while using a conventional mic. Though, this days - there are other option that can record our voice more accurately (closer to the way we hear it) - by using a bin-aural mic:

Above model for example - which is similar to a pair of earbuds - but it comes with microphones instead of speakers. Thus, while we plug them in our ears - they can record the sound coming from both sources - both external and internal (as mentioned above).

Another way to put it (more detailed - i presume): Does My Voice Really Sound Like That?

PS.Hmm, this topic fits with one of those Men vs Women stereotypes where - women are real fond of talking and men... not so much: all the authors of above recordings are female.^^

Very interesting thread, and a subject I've often wondered about.

My ASC and Mercury are both in Sag. I believe both are heavy factors in voice. My voice is deeper (soprano) when speaking, though when singing, it can get quite high.

I might point out that Cupido is exactly conjunct my Mercury, and I've been told I have a "phone sex" voice. Works for me!
