I've neglected my Mars. I just discovered it in Gemini, and I feel like I am a child who has just discovered her (jeez Venus...edit).

With my Venus and Sun in Cancer, and my Moon in Taurus, this Gemini Mars explains my endless contradictions.

I want to be possessed, but I also NEED intellectual freedom. I really love to come up with weird possibilities and scenarios. I like to share them with my partner. I don't need to act out on them, until I feel like my partner is not open to my ideas. That's when I'll take things a step further. I am not a cheater, but I am also not necessarily loyal...I love very deeply, but then when it's over, I say it's over and my lover has like 5 minutes to readjust. There were signs that it was ending, of course. I just don't waste time contemplating the brick wall. It's a brick wall!

I want the smartest man in the room, and I feel threatened by the smartest woman in the room.

On one occassion during intimacy, it wasn't going well- I just wasn't aroused, so I started talking. I was talking a lot. I was saying stuff and telling him what to say. I didn't realize how much I was going on until he stopped and was like, 'are you serious'- lol! I DO LOVE SEX TALK.

Do you have this? Do you know this? PLEASE share. If you know how this would play out with Venus in Cancer, please share that too! Thanks!

I have Mars and Moon in Gemini coupled with Sun and Scorpio Venus.

My big issue is that I have the "grass is always greener" syndrome. I want to be with someone but when I start dating them, I want out. Then went it's over, I want them all over again. My problem is that I can't feel, I have to rationalize my feelings and turn them into thoughts. I don't feel, I think.

I'm not stable with my emotions at all especially in relationships. I can never make a decision as to whether or not I want to date a certain person. My brain always takes over and I start asking myself questions such as "What if I miss out on a better opportunity?", "What if I can't advance my career?", "I'm not sure I want to be tied down".

I can have strong feelings for someone but run away from these feelings because I don't want to be tied down. The only person who would have been able to tie me down was a Pisces because we had a unique connection but even he couldn't prevent these thoughts from crossing my mind.

I'm one of those people who would love to fall in love but can't be tied down because they prioritize their career and are scared of missing out on better opportunities.

I also don't like "slow" people who don't have a lot going on. I like adventurous, hyperactive, fun people. Homebodies can be a good thing due to my Cancer rising and Scorpio placements, but most of the time, I get bored. I want someone who can make the decision to travel to Kuala Lampur or Mexico out of the blue. Someone I can enjoy exploring new things with!

The Pisces I dated had a Capricorn Mars, a Cancer Moon, a Pisces Sun and an Aqua Venus. Aside from his detachment, he was probably the most boring/one dimensional person I've ever met. He doesn't travel much and is a homebody. He's not super spontaneous.

I also dated a Taurus once. He was a bit too boring for my taste. He loves to travel but he's not a "hyperactive" person. He has a routine and that's it. Ew. I like someone who has tons and tons of things going on. Routine people bore me to death! Y'all need a bit of flavor!

Which explains why I haven't had a proper relationship at 24! I won't lie, I also have high standards which makes it almost impossible for any man to reach those! I'm doomed haha.

If you have Mars in Gemini with Venus in Cancer

you are . . .

The Technician of Cuddly Love

You are the luckiest of the Mars in Gemini Lovers. Not only are you supremely knowledgeable about sex and a cool master off all the games associated with flirtation and love but you also have an emotional sensitivity, a quality of vulnerability and a capacity of empathy that adds up to devastating sex appeal. This makes you a Lover who is very much in demand and, if you are so inclined, gives you almost unlimited access to recreational sex. Unfortunately, this combination of an intellectual approach to passion and a passionate approach to sex also makes you a very unpredictable, irrational and complex Lover; so complex, in fact, that even you can’t be sure what it is you really want.

Your problem is that there are moments when sex is just a game to you, a game that you know very well, and then there are other times when you respond to your partner with an emotional need that is over-whelming and completely beyond your rational control. There are moments when you can seem cold-hearted and manipulative and other times when your need for your Beloved is so immediate and visceral that it almost becomes an obsession. At your best, you will learn how to combine your strengths and use your smooth, Mars in Gemini skill to find and hold the emotional security you so desperately need. At your worse you will remain the glib and skillful player who wins at every romantic game except the one that counts.

Mars/Venus in Gemini ties Scorpio Venus in people I date. Scorpio Venus because they fall on my DSC and conjunct my Sun, and the Gemini's trine/sextile my Aries Mars, and Venus Libra.

I love my Mars/Venus Geminis. I never feel suffocated by you guys and you're very often ok with short term romances (which is basically the m/o of my 20s.)

I don't think you guys deserve the bad rep. You're no more dysfunctional in relationships than the rest of us. You have your needs and that's it.

After countless flings with Water Sun, Mars/Venus Gems I learned to the trick to being with you guys is to be high speed. That's pretty much it.

You guys just need to find lovers that keep just as busy as you are so when you tell them you're busy or you're bored with the whole thing they're too busy to be all bothered about it.

To some folks this sounds dysfunctional but I personally love it. I've always been pretty goal oriented so a person with air influences gives me that freedom I need.

Honestly, Mars in Gemini ranks pretty high in the Mars placement I'd like for a person I date followed very closely by Mars in Libra. Venus in Scorpio attracts me big time, more than the first two but eventually I feel suffocated which is why I value you Gems so much. And even then I would hope that Venus in Scorpio has the Mars in Gemini/Libra placement :P

OOOOH what a good point about being threatened by the smartest woman in the room! That is SO true for me right now and I never would've attributed it to my Mars in Gemini.

Mars in Gemini - yep, hot and smart. Now what about Mars in Gemini in the 7th house? Does that mean you see your own bad traits in others? What kind of conundrum having Mars in it's enemy's house? (Mine is in the 12th, I want to know for someone else.)

Mars in Gemini, I wouldn't say I love sex talk...but maybe I do. I haven't found someone who can pull it off, but I do enjoy noises... I'll try anything once, and I get bored with sex easy, even in the middle of it and my mind starts going other places. It's sexier to me to talk and connect that way while being preoccupied, than the act itself. So far, anyway, since you know us we're ALWAYS changing!

I totally suggest you find yourself an Aries Mars It is super compatible with Gemini Mars. You guys get a real kick out of our childlike hyperactivity and impulsiveness.

If you can get an Aries Mars that's also witty and full of banter you'll probably have a super good time.

Seeing as this is a mars in gemini thread and i have mars in gemini.

Just curious, how are your sex drives? I keep reading online that mars in gemini may lack stamina or sex drive.

I beg to differ! Anyone here with Mars in gemini have a low sex drive/stamina?

This is where I think sex talk comes in. Or rather making sure the mind is engaged during sex. I don't think we have low sex drives or low stamina- I think we say we're tired when we get bored. If I'm in control I don't get tired because I am working both my body and my brain, but if I let my partner take control, then he needs to talk to me.

Words and imagination keep me turned on even when what he is doing doesn't. If he does something that doesn't feel good, AND it's quiet, I am SO impatient. I'll act exhausted instead of show that I am annoyed.

Now there's someone I love that doesn't have to know what he's doing. I'll teach him, but I still want to whisper to him, and I want him to at least whisper back, "yes" or "no"

Venus in Cancer relies very heavily on the strength of feelings in making decisions about whom to love and what they are drawn to.

The internal workings of that could be attached to the aspect that the ruler of Venus(Moon)makes to other planets i.e

A Venus in Cancer with Mars in Cancer for instance, could love the thought of making babies.

If there is no other planet that obstructs the expression of Cancer energy between these two planets. The act of sex for the purpose of consummating the love between two people and creating something beautiful, could be very much a turn on for the native.

But if the Moon is in Aquarius. There may be some reservations and fears that going too deep will "trap" them.

Or that intimacy may strip them of their freedom in some way. This is also so when Moon-Uranus squares, conjuncts or in opposition.

You have Venus in Cancer,so you love or are attracted to someone from an emotional place(Moon). And with your Moon in Taurus, security, stability and consistency are key words that you live by.

Harsh aspects to Venus/Moon(ruler of Venus) may contradict much of what was said above.

Your Mars in Gemini suggests that sex is driven mostly by the mind(Mercury).Where is Mercury?

Harsh aspects to Mars/Mercury(ruler of Mars) affect you sex drive and could be responsible for the stop/go,stop/go approach you have.

I really enjoy intelligent, funny, quick witted women, but if I am feeling crazy, they're also the ones I feel can take what's mine. I don't feel like that often.

Hannaramaa, you should really find someone who knows how to talk to you...during sex. I promise, if you enjoy a good conversation or argument outside of the bedroom, then I think this experience will be akin to someone finding your *spot*. Ok I am going to try not to mention sex talk anymore- lol. feeling a bit nutty.

This is really interesting. My Taurus Moon is actually square Mercury and Jupiter in my 1st house. For the first 30 years of my life (I'm 35) only one or the other reigned- either my emotions or my reason- and either one would rule for years until I would get sick (if I was making all of my decisions based on emotion alone)or I would act out in a terrible way (if just reason was in charge). I have learned the value of both, and I use my intellect to support my emotions and vice versa. Without my emotional sensitivity my mind can justify doing anything, even very destructive things. Without reason, my emotions get out of control, and again, I become destructive. I first learned the where the balance was between the two when I finally committed to my career. My is MC is in Taurus- I use my reason and logic to support my emotional sense of security and wellbeing and my calm and steady emotions help me to understand when I might be going too far with my words and musings. I might say or do something that other people think is not so great, but as long as things are going well within, I don't do or say things that make me FEEL embarrassed or ashamed, and in that self acceptance I have found the peace I wasn't able to find earlier in my life.

Where it all falls apart is when I fall in love. That seems forever and always a hot mess.

As a side, both my Venus and Mars are in my 11th house

Mercury and Jupiter are both in Leo. And they conjunct. So there is a tendency to talk too much(Jupiter conjunct). Or a tendency to dominate conversation.(Merc/Jup in Leo)

I wonder if you get turned on by people with deep voices? Because if the ruler of Mars(Mercury)is in Leo,that means that people who talk with authority and power- have a "sex appeal" for you.

Maybe not James Earl Jones per se, but more Vin Diesel? A deep "masculine voice" topped off by physical presence and you are all in.

I wonder how you feel about Chris Hemsworth? Is he "dreamy" to you? He is Sun in Leo plus he has Mars in Cancer nataly. But his Virgo Moon may make him too shy for you

The best way to handle this need for the spoken word,is to date people who share it. Avoid those who have taken a vow of silence in bed and in all other areas of life.

One of the best ways to assess whether the person can do the job right,is to frequently have phone sex with them.

As for the state of your Venus? Just cuddle up a lot. The ruler(Moon)being in Taurus means that physical affection is highly appreciated.

Picture this...some tall man holding you in his strong arms and nibbling on your ear whilst whispering- in a deep "Barry White" baritone-the many things he intends on doing to you.And then you can.... let me stop. I am getting all hot and bothered

Though I see what you are saying. I actually know someone who is an intellectual snob orf sorts, and she thinks I am boring and dull. Just because I'm quiet and polite around her, she mistakenly got the impression I am brainless, and started treating me like that.

"Oh you wouldn't understand..."

I find this hilarious, that's why I am playing along. I just look wide-eyed and nod at her like she is the goddess of knowledge. She has no idea I'm sorta mocking her.

My dad had Gemini Mars.

Always on the go in some fashion. He'd come up with something that he wanted to buy just to go buy it and do nothing with it.

He'd get home from the hospital after open heart surgery and almost immediately take off to go gambling or whatever.
He was also
Sag sun / cancer Moon / Scorpio Venus / cap Mercury

LMAO. You sound like my friend, who has a Gem stellium and his way of insulting people is simply playing dumb and letting them think they are so knowledgeable and awesome.

Dude is legit a genius, and needs to talk. All. The. Time. There is no shutting this man up! lol. I enjoy hanging out with Gem-influenced people, because they really are not fazed by the small things and will play along just for kicks.

Hmmm, good point! I never really thought about it before.

My brother has a Gemini NN and he is VERY much like this...totally goes with the flow no matter how crazy it gets, and he says the funniest things, because he's just calm...like he is always prepared to meet insanity head-on.

(Of course he is the oldest sibling in a large family of eccentrics so, he had a lot of training. )

Practice, practice!

I almost laugh sometimes but so far have managed not to.

Last time, my husband tried to put this to me gently, after we spent some time with her:

"Um....did you notice how she talks to you?"

And I *lost it* !!!!

"some tall man holding you in his strong arms and nibbling on your ear whilst whispering- -the many things he intends on doing to you".....um, yes.

Oh my, I DO talk a lot, and too much. I am notorious for leaving ridiculous voicemails. I am the reason I don't listen to my own voicemails.

The voice is so super important. I may have been done in by a voice, alone. Not so much a deep voice, as a relaxed, confident, 'ive got life mastered' or 'I am totally cool with not having life mastered', kind of voice. I like men that take it slow when they talk- LOL.

I like to use my voice too. I don't have enough romance in my life so at work I regularly seduce disgruntled buyers into being pleased again- I'm never overtly sexual. I just use my voice to comfort, sooth, excite, or sometimes take charge- I really tune into the emotional needs of people during business transactions, and I use my voice, and words to give them what they need/want. After that I can pretty much convince anyone of anything. I can sometimes even see the conflict in their faces or hear it in their voices. They are content and happy when they were not supposed to be- confusion...Just keeping my skills sharp.

I love shy. Shy makes me want to go exploring- gently.
