I know this is a touchy(no pun intended) subject but recently had me thinking if its possible to see potential Sadism and/or Masochism in a chart.

This came up a few times in the past. We have four or five threads about it - if anyone is interested in googling.To answer the OP, the general consensus is: Scorpio/Taurus, Venus/Pluto, Venus/Mars, Mars/Pluto and Capricorn/Saturn influence - either in natal, synastry or both - usually both. But please move this to Sweet Peas, because it's our 18+ forum. Generally speaking I don't associate Saturn with BDSM or taboo...but I can see Cappie Saturn (especially if fascinated with the Ancient Greeks and Romans) doing so! IP: Logged |

Spanking isn't necessarily BDSM...it can actually increase the pleasure through the vibration and feel like love taps (that is no real pain, at least nothing significant) and doesn't have to be "humiliation." I've listened to more than one who said they liked being spanked...until it hurt. Furthermore, the reason so many adults get off on it is because it increases blood flow to the genitals in both men and women (especially when the spanking is "very low" as most seem to prefer it) which increases arousal (again, too much pain kills it). Therefore I don't count spanking with BDSM unless it's obviously about the pain or mixed up with some roleplay fetish in which the spanker is asserting dominance or some such and/or if bondage is included. All I can offer as examples are my own tastes and preferences....and I'm telling you, I hate pain. Haaate it. Pain is NEVER pleasurable for me unless it's muscles-i-didnt-know-existed-after-working-out type of pain. And even then, it kinda sucks. I have a decent pain tolerance but that doesn't mean I like it. I don't. I'm very experimental (and that includes BDSM in which I've switched roles) and believe polyamory is actually more natural than monogamy (though ironically I seem more trustworthy than so many--possibly even the majority--of those claiming only monogamy will do, which is part of why I think polyamory is more natural) and I associate that with my 7H Aquarius (relationships), 8H Pisces (adaptable with sex), though I'm sure my Eros (along with Mars-Uranus among other placements) in 5H Sag also contribute to that...and maybe my 4H Scorpio Jupiter expands my mind (and my heart) to include more concepts and even more people (polyamory).It's important to note that by "polyamory" I'm not talking about "swinging" or "open relationships" (though I'm not shocked or scandalized by those if that's what others want). I did join an exclusive sex club once for a few months but it was the only way to fully experiment as I wished in what I felt was a safe environment that wouldn't haunt me with awkwardness after. Oh I didn't know spanking wasn't traditionally BDSM. I'll admit I like bondage and being submissive although I think being submissive has to do with mars falling in the 12th and the placement of my moon.

Lots of Scorp/Taurus
and both our Suns are ruled by Saturn-by delineation. HOWEVER, we are both religious (2 different religions) with one of us slightly more.....oppressed in certain beliefs. There are "undercurrents" of desires that would like to come out but like I said, they are oppressed. I am NOT blaming religion by any reach but I am just saying that one of us desires something more but feels that it would do more harm than good in the long run, for various reasons. Hmm.. I guess asteroid Sado doesn't necesarily say much about BDSM? assuming BDSM in romantic relationships are practiced upon mutual consent.
But if we are talking about sadistic nature in general, I was told to look at the asteroid Sado? I haven't experienced this asteroid myself yet thoughIn my current relationship, my sado in scorpio conjuncts my partner's retrograde Venus, while her Sado conjuncts my Mars in Scorpio.

I can attest to this  mars & venus in virgo, mars in 8th and venus in other, Uranus in a comfy trine to my mars... In other words I'm into the type of kink that is unconventional and way out there  only problem is that with venus/mars in Virgo it's hard to express this freely. I worry that a potential partner may not accept it.

Lol it's more of a sexual preference rather than the way I cope with my anger. In bed I want to please and ultimately lose myself in another person... But I do have a tendency to seeth when I'm angry. I try to find some constructive distraction so I don't blow up on some poor unsuspecting soul.
