Uranus-Saturn and Uranus-Neptune have been discussed somewhat, but there remains the Saturn-Neptune aspect of the triple conjunction.

Like Saturn-Uranus, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction brings together two very different archetypal principles and there are so many ways these two can interact and manifest in personal biography and in history. What the conjunction calls for is not one predominant over the other, but a harmony and synthesis between them.

In contrast to the Uranus-Neptune conjunction, which liberates and awakens the imaginative, artistic, altruistic and spiritual impulses, Saturn structures, gives shape or form, disciplines, grounds, organizes, or inhibits or restricts these impulses. Saturn creates polarity and tensions, and brings out the problematic aspects or shadow side of Neptune, i.e., illusion and deception.

In individual charts, when the Neptune side of the dyad is identified against a weaker Saturn, we often find dichotomies between a spiritual, artistic, imaginative and idealistic personality at odds with the confines and dictates of reality, the material world or the body. When Saturn is stronger, you often find skepticism about religion and metaphysics, an allegiance to science over faith. There is a either a well honed sense for the false note, for unmasking and exposing deceit and illusions or the opposite manifestation of deceiving or being blind to the truth, or both present in the same person. Saturn-Neptune can sometimes be a passive victim, an alcoholic or drug addict. With this aspect, you often see a world weariness, melancholy, an acute sense of “paradise lost,” an estrangement or exile from a more ideal reality, and an acute awareness of suffering inherent in existence.

At its best, Saturn-Neptune is the practical idealist, social worker, administrator of a charity, social or arts organization, or disciplined spiritual practitioner. Also, Saturn-Neptune is often found in the charts of composers. As LeeLoo adroitly puts it: Saturn-Neptune is “the ‘effort’ of sound making, sound generating, giving reality and form through sound. Apart from Saturn being the ‘touch’ of genius, the ‘old soul’ and ‘highly organized’ part of the genius.”

So the stellium has been broken down into component parts, coming together and creating what I gather to be very complex, creative, and contradictory personalities, many of whom having made or will make their mark in history.

Here's an image of synthesis between Saturn-Uranus I thought would be fun to include:

In science, fractals are the patterns (Saturn) resulting from dynamically changing systems (Uranus). Chaos theory is about the unpredictability (Uranus) of systems (Saturn). Both are manifestations of Saturn and Uranus in synthesis.

By the way, chaos theory was widely explored in the mid to late 1980s, during the Saturn-Uranus conjunction. How that's for synchronicity!

"You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star." Nietzsche

Great! Thanks, Barbiegirl!

I have the Saturn-Uranus-Neptune conjunction that SaturnFan and Peony talked about above. It's in Capricorn and my first house.

I also have Mercury conjunct Venus in Capricorn in my first house, if we use the Placidus system; however, if we use equal houses, Mercury and Venus join my Aquarius Sun in the second house.

I find it difficult to articulate what Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune feel like in my first house.

SaturnFan, there's a lot that can be said just about Saturn-Uranus. I didn't mention this before but Saturn-Uranus is an innovator. For example, in the arts, you often see a person who starts out within a certain tradition, but then expands into new territory.

Though, I very much identify with this interpretation. I've always felt that my artistic self exists between art and commerce. Some people don't like that, but I think it's great that I'm able to appreciate both ends of the spectrum. (I hope that doesn't seem pretentious.)

With Mercury and Venus, I identify with both the first and second house interpretations, especially with Mercury. (There are three "with"s in that sentence. :P)

I feel that a stellium tells us where to direct our energy. According to a karmic reading, I'm meant to focus on and love myself in this life because in a past life, I was loved for not myself but what I could give to others. And I totally get that.

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be my own boss and become incredibly successful. Call it a first house thing, but for more than 10 years, I've been "preparing" for fame. I want to build a (lasting) empire. I want to use fame and success to help open people's minds and better the lives of the unfortunate and disenfranchised. I want to make a giant mark and change the world for the better.

I could talk more about what I hope to accomplish in this life, but I won't bore you any longer. Let's just say that I have a lot of drive despite my long bouts of depression. All I need is a fire to be constantly lit under my a$$ (the only fire in my chart is my Sagittarius Ascendant) so that I can get started on everything. Ha!

Honestly, I don't always feel very Aquarian. I don't feel Aquarian until I read about how much they don't like to be pinned to a traditional lifestyle, a traditional value system, don't want to be pigeon-holed by anybody, need an intellectual connection with their mate, are stubborn and fixed in their opinions, and how the women are natural suffragettes. lol. And then I have to admit, that all does sound like me. I do have that need to be liked/for approval which I thought was a more Venusian trait (I have sun conjunct Venus as well as the 7th house stellium) but I've seen two astrologers describe this as an Aquarian trait as well so maybe I am pretty typically Aquarian, even in that sense.

My 7th-house stellium manifests in a total feeling of being lost without romance and love in my life. I'm always thinking about relationships as well (that must be the Mercury in the 7th). Honestly, I cannot handle being single for any significant length of time. Like J.Lo I figure I'm old enough now and may as well just own it and who I am. It is what it is. I also like hanging out with friends as often as I can and preferably one-on-one although I don't mind group activities and have fun with those, too. I often think of myself as very Venusian but then when you put me next to a TRUE Venusian, like a Taurus woman, with their love of makeup and shopping, and I am the girl who rarely shops, is a minimalist and who let my earholes close up, I realize that maybe I am more Uranian after all. lol.

My 4th house stellium involves all of the malefics (Saturn, Pluto, Mars). How that manifested is that I had a very dysfunctional childhood; my mother was very violent and abusive (emotionally too), my biological father was not really a part of my life, I was raised by my loving stepfather, but then he got transferred overseas when I was 5 and was not part of my day-to-day childrearing either (Saturn in the 4th = absent father). So that's heavy karma involving a terrible early life.

Hi Aquacheeka I love your username, especially since you stated you don't always feel very Aquarian, but you are being proven that in fact you are. You definitely sound Aquarian and it feels like the Aquarian energy (detachment among other things) balances your 7H house stellium, and vice versa. Very interesting energy interplay!
I'm a little bit Venusian I think (Venus conjunct AC square Taurus Moon). For me it didn't manifest with affinity to shopping or make up, in fact while I took care of my appearance it felt more like obligation and unnecessary vanity. Once I became conscious of my self-worth issues, which were causing all that, and started working through them, my view shifted completely: I aim to take care of my health and my self (body, mind and soul), and physical appearance just naturally benefits from that. So I think as long as you honour your body, even without wearing earrings for a long time, you are exhibiting positive Venus traits

I'm sorry to hear about your childhood experiences. You do seem very wise about them though, and you describing it as karma implies that there was a lesson in there somewhere - so whatever the karma was, it sounds like you've dealt with it effectively.

No, please talk more. I know someone who is also a Sag rising with a Saturn-Uranus conjunction in the 1H. He has a large vision of establishing self-sustaining communities for artists globally. He is a glass artist, which is interesting because stained glass is associated with Sag rising. He is also training in business, which I think is smart.

Saturn-Uranus can manifest at the physical level as muscular armoring. I know we all experience this sometimes, but do you experience this frequently?

If you're not doing this, physical exercise would probably help, getting more oxygen pumping through your system. Also, it sounds like the 3rd chakra needs attention. Have you tried using music that targets this chakra?

I think this stellium in capricorn in house 6 with saturn conjuct my moon and venus is hard to deal with. very hard.
I have yet have to discover the good side of it...

Wow, this is quite the combination. It definitely sounds challenging but also very purposeful, as if you are here to conquer something or implement something of a large scale, which requires discipline, diligence and creativity.

Saturn in Capricorn delays but guarantees success, and it requires daily rituals and goal setting as per a great book I have on this planet. Saturn in 6H requires consistency, a daily schedule, time for retreat. So it looks like you are already on the right track of managing your stellium (it is my belief that managing Saturn makes it easier to manage the other planets).
I recommend you read peony's posts in this thread about the Saturn-Uranus-Neptune interplay, so you can find ideas about how to deal with your stellium and get inspired. I'm sure you are here to do great things

Relationships are something he is constantly dissecting, analyzing and comparing. I think he likes to know what his "role" in a relationship is and acts within the confines of that role. He is very serious, committed, and can be very attached and then on a dime he will turn around and act non-nonchalant and aloof. It's like a constant struggle of wanting freedom to be his own person and live life according to his own rules, but then be accommodating and receptive of his mate's wishes. I know for a fact he would opt to never marry unless it was with someone he was truly certain about.

He is a very complex man to be romantically involved with!

Hi margym0o,

Thank you for sharing this. This is the 3rd example of a 7H stellium in this thread, and all 3 examples mention conflicting energies pulling them towards and away from relationships. It does sound challenging, but also something that can provide great wisdom.
There is a very black-and-white view in conventional wisdom about what relationships should look like - if you are single you are free, if you are in a relationship you are not free. Too 2-dimensional for complex beings as ourselves, and many people lose their identities in relationships because they try to comply with this view. It sounds like your SO is here to find the balance, wherein a happy relationship does not exclude but nurtures a person's individual freedom, and what 'individual freedom' means should be agreed by the people in the relationship, not by society. A fascinating quest

I'd say I doubt someone earns a 11th house stellium for nothing. And also an Aquarius ASC.
It's an indicator of having very good Karmas. Very well deserved

Also, your Saturn seems very well placed.
And have you checked the sabian symbol for your Sun, for any chance?

Sun in the 8th degree of Cap.
Sabian says:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
" In a Sun-Lit house, domesticated birds sing joyously ".

The wholesome happiness which subservience to the ideals and patterns of a well-established culture brings to those who accept them unreservedly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, for me, It seems quite fitting with what your Stellium says.

Hi GemBird82,

Thank you so much for this! Incredibly encouraging!

I hadn't looked into Sabian symbols yet, but now I definitely will

My 12th is pretty apparent due to the planets I have there. My chart as a whole is pretty contradictory. I have lots of social signs and aspects yet introverted, shy aspects and signs mixed with some pretty intense ones. So I'm a little all over the place. I'm not shy yet pretty reserved. I don't like sharing deeper, personal things to people I don't quite know well. I'm secretive, a huge dreamer. I'm also very talkative, really hyper. I smile A LOT. Happy-go-lucky type, optimistic yet realistic. I'm not afraid of dealing with conflict or problem. I'm assertive. Very driven, one that strives for total control of my emotions, feelings. I don't like feeling vulnerable or weak nor do I want anyone worrying about me. I'd rather be the one that worries. (I feel like that sounds so selfish). I have many friends yet feel like a loner. I'm a perfectionist and don't like clutter yet my life is always all over the place.

I think my 3rd house stellium is also pretty evident in my demeanor. I'm fickle, can be antisocial at times. As I stated earlier very talkative LOL. Feel like 2 separate people at times so I'm mercurial. I'm a giant kid. I like to have fun! I'm really goofy. Don't like stressing or sweating over things out of my control. I love cartoons. I don't EVER wanna grow up! My mind jumps from this to that constantly so I forget A LOT! I'll be in mid-sentence and forget what I was gonna say lol.

I feel stelliums are going to be the most apparent in the birth chart. It may seem like the person focuses the most on the energy of that stellium but it's because they have the most of that house or sign in their chart. It's bound to be what you see or feel first. The energy is going to be more natural, more concentrated than it would be with just one in that sign or house.

Thank you for sharing, Barbiegirl19. You are very self-aware, and conscious of how your natal placements influence you - this is brilliant.

I agree with your last statement about stelliums being apparent. I've been checking my family and friends' charts and whenever I find stelliums, they usually even overwrite their Sun sign's energy.

Thank you for this peony, and for the Neptune-Saturn post before that. So insightful, and I cannot begin to explain how necessary it is for people with these placements to be aware of these energies as they can be very challenging and very empowering I've taken note of everything you've posted in this thread!

Hi CupOfDavid,

In addition to peony's post above, let me just add a few minor observations:

1. You do seem very well equipped to achieve your goals with this particular conjunction in a 1H stellium. It looks like you were born a leader!
2. Absolutely not pretentious to find balance between art and commercialism. There is so much stigma around earning money through art. It should be encouraged, not vilified! Money is good, only the way it's spent can make it bad. You seem to have a healthy attitude towards money and would invest it in objectives beyond just your own comfort, so it should flow easily to you

Sccs, the preponderance of planets in Capricorn tips the scales of influence to Saturn which appears to inhibit Uranus. Moon-Venus in Capricorn conjunct Saturn suggests a heightened sense of duty and responsibility but an undeveloped or unexpressed joie de vivre or joy of life. It seems that a bit of alchemy would help tip the scales more in the direction of Moon, Venus, and Uranus. What could that be?

I had an interaction with someone on another thread recently who told me he plays the ukulele. He told me the ukulele is regarded as the happiest of musical instruments. Well, what is so interesting about his choice of instrument is he has a natal Sun-Saturn conjunction. Music sets in motion a current or vibration that affects consciousness. I believe when he plays it, the vibrations of joy permeate his being, which is so important for him to have that experience. What I'm getting at is what is the alchemical elixir that can balance the scales for you? Playing a musical instrument? Acting or Improv? Comedy? or is it something else?

Do you think female genital mutilation is a manifestation of male fear of the Feminine? If not, what do you think are the drivers, I mean, originally, because it may now just be mechanically following custom?

It just occurred to me that thought forms hang on a long time, even when a culture and the world have changed, which is why it's very difficult to change minds. And that Saturn-Uranus in Sagittarius especially but maybe in general also is about the breaking up of these thought forms or ways of thinking, possibly stemming from religious or philosophical beliefs. Atonal music in the 20th century served this purpose. I think the films and story-telling is also an indirect but powerful way to do this, i.e., Star Wars, the Matrix).

SaturnFan, thank you for starting and hosting this thread. It's been very thought provoking!

Do you feel stelliums point to where a person should direct their energy, or the opposite - they naturally focus too much energy in 1 place, which the native should resolve through other (opposite?) Houses?

I never look at what is 'wrong' with a chart. Not mine, not anyone's.

Stelliums indicate emphasis of life energies, particularly if the planets are all in one sign. It isn't a matter of consciously directing your energies in the way the stellium represents. You will do that naturally even if you never learn a single piece of astrology. That's what conjunctions do. They create an emphasis that you revert to no matter what others around you are doing.

There are a few ways of finding balance if you find yourself over-emphasizing those things associated with your stellium:

- Slow your tempo of living, or speed it up a bit if the stellium is in say Taurus.
- Intentionally make and keep room for those peripheral interests that always seem to get left behind a bit. Schedule them -- literally.
- Date/pair with those who have planet(s) opposite your stellium; spend more time with such people and feel your way to a different approach, remembering of course that you are responsible for your own balance, not anyone else.

My own stellium is Sun 6 Taurus, Saturn 11, Mercury 22, Venus 28 + Mars 5 Gemini. I have benefited in the last 10 years from learning to be more proactive and pick up the tempo of my life so that things don't stagnate so easily. When I keep in regular exercise (walking, light biking) I feel better, more flexible, more ready to change. This way I don't stagnate in comfortable contemplation.

Fire stelliums need to make sure they take some time to just breathe.

Earth ... to play and dream.

Air ... to just BE a human animal in a body.

Water ... to explore new and unfamilar things and places.

Very often stelliums are split up by sign and/or house and at least one planet may be making a square to another elsewhere so that energies can be dispersed.

Personally, I think that stelliums are good for creating a sturdy sense of 'self', purpose and what comes naturally to you. They can, however, outline areas that become ruts.

I am a Scorpio with a Scorpio stellium in my 6th house (Sun, Mercury (r), Venus, Jupiter, Pluto).

Jupiter is at 0 degrees & right on my 6th house cusp.

Libra rules my 6th house.

I also have Sun, Mars, Pluto opposite my ASC in Taurus.

Anyway, I find my stellium very challenging. Not only is it a tremendous focal point, it can get pretty obessive with all that Plutonian energy. I tend to obsess about details, routines, and anything that involves my productivitt or lack of..

I find peace is cleanliness and solitude.

In my opposite house (12th house), Aries is the ruler. My 12th house is empty.

Mars (ruled by Aries) sits exactly on my 7th house cusp, 1st degree of Sagittarius, conjunct Pluto. When a partner's pluto hits my mars (which is almost always), I tend to get obsessed with that person and attached rather quickly.

Thank you peony!!!
I could spend hours answering your question, but in short - it's a combination of a few things. I have myself experienced gender discrimination but in a typical western-world office setting, nothing remotely close to what these women are going through. It was infuriating even in this small form, and I was able to fight back. And these women deal with it on a much bigger scale and in all areas of live, and have no means to fight back. So there is a combination between feeling empathy towards them and feeling responsibility because of my much privileged situation. And the 3rd aspect, I only started doing this last year after I went through a depression and some soul-searching, and I connected with my inner energy of wanting to help people and work in the human rights area. I used to attract weak men in my romantic life because of this unconscious energy, and much of the joys in my corporate job came from helping colleagues - when I became aware of that and started acting on it, I felt a deep connection with my soul. I felt it was a 'point of no return', I'll always work in this area as it is part of who I am - regardless of whether through volunteering or a regular job. I used to shy away from human rights abuse issues, and always felt this faint sense of guilt because of it. I distracted my self for years, and I wasn't at all happy during those years. Now when I started embracing it, I'm feeling much happier to say the least. This is one of the reasons 'Descent to the Goddess" resonates with me, because it talks about embracing darker issues which make you feel uncomfortable or even scare you. Carl Jung himself has a great quote about enlightenment and that you can only achieve it by embracing the darker sides of your psyche - for me, part of achieving this is volunteering in areas I used to shy away from before, because I've had a pull towards them all my life, even if only faintly recognisable.

Haha, and I started this whole paragraph with "in short..."

I echo your sentiment about thought forms, and this is something that has been driving me crazy. I hate inertia, especially when it creeps into cultural and belief systems.
To answer your first question, I absolutely believe it was originally a manifestation of male fear of the feminine. Why would a woman need a 2nd pleasure centre, when she already has one that takes care of her child-bearing functions? It must have been seen as something unnecessary at best, and evil/satanic at worst, leading women astray. And I also believe the same kind of mentality is at the fundamentals of western societies' judgmental attitudes towards more sexual women (the 'sl*t-shaming' culture for example), so while we don't suffer genital mutilation thankfully, we are still seeing the same stigma towards women openly enjoying their sexuality.

Thank you Kannon,

I really appreciate your input, thank you so much. My stellium is split between Fire and Earth, and you are spot on with the activities I need to take in order to manage my energy. These have always worked wonders for me!

Hi Yanmorg,

This does sound intense!

Since the 6th House has to do with health among other things, I wonder if you can resolve your stellium's challenges by directing some of its energy towards physical health and comfort - which I believe will be greatly supported by Taurus opposing 3 of the planets. Anything Taurus-related tied to taking care of your health or other's health, might bring you a lot of joy - like workout routines, or any regular exercise, yoga, researching quality food, learning recipes, regulating your sleeping routine and energy levels, anything of this kind. Are you into this sort of thing already by any chance?

By the way I have Mars and Pluto in Scorpio, so I know what you mean with feeling obsessed when these are aspected Still, it's a good placement! I love Scorpios and Scorpio energy.

SaturnFan, Neptune creates energy gaps. I've been aware of this effect with Mars-Neptune, but hadn't heard before about Sun-Neptune.

Something you may want to consider is acupuncture. Both Western and Eastern medical systems have their strengths and weaknesses. But, oriental medicine sees the body and health in a very different way than the system in the west. An acupuncturist's tools for diagnosing things can pick up on more subtle things. I don't think Western medicine is good at treating fatigue. If you haven't gotten any answers from a western M.D., you might from an acunpuncturist. He or she can probably tell you what's causing the fatigue. If acupuncture doesn't appeal to you, you can simply have a consultation and get your pulses read. You can get the same results with medicinal herbs.

So, it's just a matter of degree, but the same thinking. Thanks.

I was reading about Malala Yousafzai this morning. She was born in 1997, with a Uranus-Neptune conjunction, and Saturn square Neptune. Her advocacy for female education and human rights has sparked an international movement. I'm bringing her up because she was a co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize - youth and women's issues advance during the Uranus-Pluto cycle. We're in one now, the first square since the conjunction of the 1960s when the women's liberation movement took off. Women were at the forefront in Iran and during the Arab Spring uprisings. So, although challenges remain, there is cause for optimism.

Thank so much for these ideas peony, I'll give it a try! I've never tried anything of the kind, so it will be worth looking into it!

I can definitely feel it, in my surroundings as well. Significant mentality shift even in people who are usually rigid in their thinking. There is great cause for optimism, as long as we collectively ride this energy

I have a 12th house stellium: cap sun/venus/uranus/neptune, and sag mercury.

1st house saturn in cap.

I also have cap asc and North Node. Things don't come to me easily, but they often come. I didn't really realize this before but looking back at my little journeys, I've come to the conclusion that I seem to "like" struggles. They give me thrills. Without them everything becomes a little too predictable.

I can be vague at times, and I love sitting by myself clearing my brain and/or thinking of nothing. I get bored quite easily, especially with stuff that I don't really love. But it probably is caused by a bunch of squares to be moon. I like new environments and I have a serious case of wanderlust, so I switch jobs/career/living places often. Must be uranus and mercury - I look at the horizon and I can't help but wonder what else is out there.

There's a fine line between saturn and neptune. Often I'd like to walk on that line.

Honestly with a heavy emphasis on one house, I think I don't pay enough attention to the other houses.

quote:
Do you feel stelliums point to where a person should direct their energy, or the opposite - they naturally focus too much energy in 1 place, which the native should resolve through other (opposite?) Houses?

It's interesting that I naturally navigate towards health care works - 6th house stuff.
