1. Pisces Sun and Mercury conjunct, both sextile Neptune - not only compassionate about animals, but constantly watches Discovery Channel since a very early age, and genuinely feels that animals are superior to humans, because animals always live up to their potential, while we humans usually remain mediocre. I can definitely see his point.

2. Pisces Mars-Moon conjunction, + Pisces Jupiter. Mars squares Neptune. - When we were kids, she would use her lunch-money and go without food while were in school, so she can buy food for the stray dogs (unfortunately, there are lots of them where I grew up).

I have volunteered in rescue centres and donating to places. I am constantly advocating for their rights.

My compassion and love for animals was one of the reasons for turning vegan 3 years ago.

I've read this book on astrology and it mentions Venus in Virgo being more fond of having pets than any other placement because this compensates for their criticism in love relationships. More often than not, people with a lot of Virgo influence are more likely to be more comfortable with human-pet relationships than human-human relationships because pets make them learn how to love unconditionally. With animals, they can serve, take care of something, and love at the same time. They are able to overlook an animal's shortcomings because they know that animals don't have the capacity to care and think for themselves. Therefore, they grow fond of the animal and think of it as their own child. And everybody knows that if you think of something or someone as your own child, you are bound to love it unconditionally. This is their way of learning the lessons from their opposite sign.

Very often, yes. I think that is because a Pisces Moon or strongly Pisces-flavored person, like Aquarius types, can be very sensitive to the underdog (pun intended) and those that don't have a voice. Dealing with humans can involve some prickles and some issues that animals don't have. Plus, I think there is an effect of grounding them into a physical/material aspect that they miss if left to their own imaginative devices.

Kurt Cobain is one example of a very Piscean person who preferred having animals around him.

Virgo types can also be this way, as I am, even though I've not always had pets. I spent about a decade on a horse farm before I moved to Oregon and developed even more of a feel for how sensitive and relational all kinds of animals can be once they are brought into our lives. They can be very healing for people in ways that are hard to understand from a purely practical mentality that doesn't include them in the basics of living.

Now that I'm an Oregonian, I'm seeing a lot of people here who find a good life alone, but with a pet. The doctors here are allowed to write a note for someone to keep their pet even in apartments that don't normally allow them. I think this is the way it should be.

If I'm ever single again, I plan to have an animal with me. There's just no reason for people to be completely alone.

But I think compassion for animals is a matter of choice for people in general. Some people have pets, but don't respect them and can be hateful and abusive.

My ex boyfriend was a Sagittarius and he loved animals as well. We both would get so upset about hearing any type of story regarding animal abuse. He didn't even like visiting to animal shelters because he felt bad for the ones who weren't yet adopted. Pisces stellium + Sag Rising here! I LOVE animals!!!! Me too, wanted to be a vet when I was younger. I have always loved watching Discovery channels since I was a toddler. I've always preferred playing with insects, stray animals, and DOGS!!!! instead of toys or games when I was a kid
