Where do you recommend finding Vedic placements? I've gotten a few different results. But basically Tropical says Libra asc Leo Sun Gemini moon Virgo mercury Virgo Venus Virgo mars Vedic says Virgo asc Leo Sun Gemini moon Virgo mercury Leo Venus Virgo mars And of course the degrees are waaay different, even the sun! Rahu and Ketu way different too. IP: Logged |

Go to astro.com. They have a sidereal option on the extended chart selection page. Also note that the interpretation of Vedic differs from Western. So look up videos with your Vedic chart positions. Your Asc changing from Libra to Virgo is significant. Look into that. As Vedic tends to use "whole sign system". See if the house cusps "fit" and take it from there-specifically the houses that are ruled by the Sun(Leo cusp) and Moon(Cancer cusp) IP: Logged |

Mercury, Saturn, and SNode in Virgo.I've been interested in health and healing for many years. One shelf in my bookcase is devoted to this subject. I'm in the health field professionally. I was sick during childhood from not being fed properly. It's probably a significant reason why I'm drawn to naturopathic medicine which emphasizes the importance of healing with good nutrition and natural remedies. I'm very conscious of purity in food and medicines and tend to stay away from drugs and processed foods which are so heavily adulterated here in the U.S. I'm a vegan for the same reasons and because I oppose cruelty to animals. I've been conscious of my weight since my teen years. I prefer having a slender body and would never allow myself to be overweight. Was borderline anorexic for a time, going without food all day. I think this is linked to a separation from my mother very early and a disruption at the oral stage of development. I also knew someone with Sun in the 6H and a Moon square Saturn who went days without eating and said he doesn't get hungry. He was raised by two alcoholic parents. IP: Logged |

This may be premature since I haven't done an actual study of it but to my mind there's a connection between the sign Virgo, the "puella" archetype, and eating disorders. Virgo is the maiden and the puella is the "eternal girl," who like her male counterpart, struggles with leaving the paradise of childhood. In women, it's known as the "Electra Complex." IP: Logged |
