I usually dabble between Western and Eastern astrology. And I had a "aha" moment when reading my natal Vedic Mars in Virgo position.

The one thing that stuck out- especially when referencing its placement in the 6th house-is that it tends to make someone very body conscious and likely to join some sort of health club/gym.

Upon reading this,I went through other "Virgo" positions i.e Sun,Mercury,Moon, Venus etc.

Now I could be wrong here, so you guys can chip in. But I see the following themes;

* Virgo placements tend to have a pre-occupation with their physical body i.e health,shape, aesthetic appeal etc.

*Virgo placements are often likened to "self-improvement" i.e mentally and in many cases also physically.

*Virgo placements tend to (surprisingly enough for me) give a high sex drive!!!

This is not talked about or acknowledged at all. Often likening Virgo with a "puritanical" or "clinical" approach to sex.

*Virgo placements tend to have a love/hate relationship with people who supply service-oriented help/administration

They either like/respect them a lot-especially people who do blue collar work. Or they really distance themselves from what they may derogatively refer to as "the help" etc.

*Most Virgo placement people I know seem to love porn/fetishes that have a slave/master scenario.

Others tend to like physical beatings during sex or to be "dominated" in the act/kinky situations.

*Virgo placements tend to make the individual want to specialize/go in a field where they can gain some sort of autonomy.

Or be respected in some kind of profession where they are "specialists" and exclusively approached for their opinion.

*Virgo placements (contrary to popular belief), do not want the "perfect" partner.

They actually find certain deficiencies attractive i.e when the partner gets sick from some illness and Virgo helps them through it etc.

There are so many others. But i find Virgo energy quite fascinating- often times also misunderstood(and misjudged).

I constantly work on self improvement and I am aware of ALL my faults and very in-tuned with my feelings and thoughts! I thrive on doing things for others whether they have asked me or not. I have a very high sex drive and have had since I was very, very young.

As for profession I need to be my own boss.

I need my partner to be imperfect or else I won't be able to relax. He can't have perfect teeth/hair/body etc but he needs to have an agile mind and be able to twist words and thoughts around.

I need to keep physically fit or I go NUTS!!

Yes, Virgos are freaks. They like to appear very wholesome but they are freaks and the majority of Virgo influenced people I know get or have gotten around.

Another thing regarding the "workers" type ppl...virgos are the most likely to get swindled by ppl working underneath us, ESP with libra AC because it puts pisces on the cusp of the 6th house of work.
Neptune/pisces energy in 6th or to much afflicted virgo energy can lead to some kind disillusionment regarding everyday work or disillusionment by the ppl who do your everyday work.

Ppl who work for you think they can get away with more than they should...the babysitter who takes the necklace, the accountant who steals from the company, the contractor who asks you to pay upfront then never come back or does a half @ass job and then changes his phone number before you realize it.
That kind of energy easily seems to find its way to virgo. Virgos need to beware that they can attract ppl who want to take advantage of them, in little everyday tasks.

I do care about keeping shape, hate dirty and messy things. I like to help people in need and I respect and feel sympathy for blue-collar people.

I do complain when things don't go well. I am not very confident. I am both introvert and extrovert.

I can relate. It can get extreme in my case. I had mild anorexia I was a teen and these impulses come back sometimes. I think I would go for a plastic surgery or 2 if I could afford it.

Currently I'm too lazy to exercise but mental self-improvement never stops.

My libido could be high when I was younger (but my hormonal imbalance I eventually discovered probably should be taken into consideration). Now I'm more like a postmenopausal woman. Actually, I AM quite puritanical. No casual sex for me.

Not this one. I wouldn't mind being "dominated" but legit bdsm is out of the question. The idea of my sex life being filled with pain and humiliation makes me shudder.

Virgo energy can go down an seemingly endless, "immoral", downward spiral of sexual escapades, drugs, alcohol and all things detrimental.

Then suddenly, there is a "shift" of attitude. And the Virgo becomes the adverse,almost antithesis of whom they were in the past.

Is this the virgin/***** complex? Coz it seems that both man/woman with Virgo placements can do that and almost come back "reborn" from all that. Knowing better and doing better.

Anyone notice this? I see this a lot with Virgo placement rich people.

I agree with this. I have BML in Virgo, and I always seem to meet Virgo men in their "fall". That word has negative connotations, but I don't see the process as negative at all. I have have also suffered, being torn between the virgin/***** identities.

Lately, I have realized how both are empowering, and I do not want to give up either, ever.

It wasn't simply because they appreciated my Scorpio Sun and Mercury, my Capricorn Moon, and my Taurus Ascendant. Certainly they make good aspects to those placements but it didn't quite explain it for me.

But eventually I realized it - I don't have personal planets in Virgo but I have my South Node in Virgo. I never realized how much of a perfectionist I really was.

My Virgo bosses have loved, loved, loved me. I have an attention to detail, and efficiency down so well that I spend a lot of my time catching things Virgo people miss! Most non-Virgo people can't say that.

Combine that exactness of my personality with my other aspects Virgos really end up appreciating my talents more than any other sign. It makes for easy recognition and promotions (but I also have Jupiter trine my MC).

I think it was actually you, Aries, that pointed out my secret SN Virgoness to me. Probably others on the forum as well but I'm very certain you were one of them.

The body/health thing is right. My Venus in Libra is in the 6th. I'm in the gym 7 days a week, and I track my calorie intake with weights and measures unless I eat out but even then my guesses are accurate due to experience. This is partially out of the need to feel healthy and improve my body but also a necessity because I'm a very hungry Taurus Ascendant with Jupiter in the 1st. I eat a lot so I work out a lot.

I could probably look at some food and even tell you within certain accuracy how much vitamin and minerals, and protein you'll probably be getting. I'm like a unofficial nutritionist.
