I'm very happy that you found this helpful. I had the exact same experience when I discovered Human Design in January last year. I'm also a Projector and after rewinding back to all key events in my life (both good and bad), it became clear that things work out only after an 'invitation' (which in Human Design terminology can take many shapes and forms).

Projectors are the type of people who have their own niches, or areas of expertise. A typical Projector would be someone you turn to for a very specific issue, so an 'aware' Projector who has undergone de-conditioning and has accessed his/her inner power would be a great guide, healer, even leader. The open centres are where we receive information from the external environment, so when someone comes to you with an issue or question, you would be able to 'detect' their situation and the specific way to 'fix' it through your open centres, on an intuitive level. This is why open centres are very important and are called 'areas of growth' in Human Design.

Your co-worker exhibits typical traits of an abuser, so I'm glad you got away from her. Unfortunately, the effects of abuse linger for some time; but like you said, it was a life lesson (albeit a difficult one). Several people have taken advantage of me or tried to extinguish my fire over the years, but I've realized that it was the Universe's twisted way of teaching me strength and assertiveness.

Now that we know better, we can sniff out the people who shouldn't be a part of our lives. You may not notice bad behaviour right away, but as soon as you see it, nip it in the bud and wave goodbye.

@BlueStSkies88: Thank you for your words of encouragement. I definitely have to love and care for myself. Some days, I hate myself and other days, I like myself; but I can't say that I've ever loved myself.

Perhaps I've already started to care for myself a little more since the start of this thread. I now pay more attention to my energies and am looking to rent a studio space where I can go to be alone and express my creativity with abandon.
