Leo is more the executive or performer, not necessarily happy as a writer even though they might write their own material. They really love performing and of course, they love being in charge of the entire thing. Leo sun is one of the "boss" positions, along with Capricorn. Gemini sun love to perform also even though Geminis are the true writers of the zodiac. Other signs can write but Gemini often requires it for their soul so even one that isn't fond of studious activities or higher education will be good at it.

Well I'm a Leo and writing has been the center of my entire life and its my biggest passion (all areas of writing appeals to me). But i have no planets in Gemini, only IC. I wouldn't say they don't enjoy writing, anything that deals with creativity is in the Leos domain, whether its performing or actually putting the pieces together behind the scenes..I know several Leos who are artists.

12th House/Pisces energy is great if you want to create avant-garde art/music/literature/films that will impress your artistic friends, but if you want to create something timeless and be remembered in the annals of history you need some fire in your chart (especially Leo). Even Da Vinci, Beethoven, and Mozart had prominent fire placements.

I am wondering, is Mercury conjunct the sun in your chart, or is it in Virgo? I suspect with a Leo sun, you do have the urge to perform in some way or lead people. Are you a screen writer?

I really think that 12th house is artistic.
I think the most artistic signs are: Libra, Pisces, Leo, Taurus, Aquarius and Cancer.
Well, I think that Libra has more to do with makeup, clothing design.
Taurus with singing.
Pisces with music, and almost everything that has to do with art. Inspiration-imagination everywhere.
Aquarius with everything too, very creative and original.
Cancer with writing.
Leo with drama, theatre.

I used to love to write and paint when I was a kid.

I used to do belly dancing before moving overseas, it started as representing the dancing school in competitions and then our group started doing some alone performances where we got paid.
I did some acting work when I was overseas (theatre).

At the moment I don't dance or act anymore, I have settled down in just playing the fiddle.

I can't draw or sing lol.

Astrology wise it could be....

Sun in Leo conjunct Merc and Mars in the 9th
Moon in Taurus in the 5th, trine Neptune
Venus in Cancer in the 8th, opposition Neptune
Saturn in the 12th conj ASC (Scorpio)

Yes, 12th House is artistic. Mercury/Neptune is artistic.

Paul McCartney has Quoaar conj his Mercury. Quoaar is out of the box brilliance.

Einstein had it conj the ASC

Taurus is voice.

Gemini is writing.

I think if someone looked at the chart enough, they could see the nature of the artistic area.
