Ladies here's a post for you to reply to

I'm curious as to know which signs/aspects enhance the love of makeup, or diminish it into oblivion...
SO, while sharing your Rising, sun, moon and Venus (and any other aspects you find important on this matter), what is your particular relationship with makeup
Do you apply it daily? or just on occasion? never?
Do you go at it heavily (contour, highlight, foundation, the "all kit", etc), medium (foundation, noticeable eyeshadows and/or bold lips) or light (gloss, light shadows and as little as possible).

I'm personally a gemini sun, libra moon and pisces rising with a fifth house leo venus who absolutely adore anything related to beauty. One could say I go heavily at it, since I always use foundation, highlighting, blush and lipsticks every single day, though I replaced my foundation for an amazing bb cream that I set with a matifying powder.

Hi

I don't put on makeup everyday. I only wear it when I want to look extra good. I feel that a woman should be beautiful naturally and should achieve that without putting something on her face. But I do think makeup is appropriate on some occasions.. When I want to look extra sexy. I actually think it looks awful when a woman has a bunch of makeup on.

I have Libra Asc with Venus trine ASC.

I wear makeup when there is a reason to....not daily. I like natural beauty.
When I wear makeup it's eye liner, light blush, gloss on lips....not much else.

I am OBSESSED with makeup!!! My makeup collection is ridiculously huge! I have a blog and I am starting a Youtube channel on it. I have been playing with makeup ever since I was a little girl and have considered it as a career but right now it is just a hobby. I wear it all the time. I usually go all out when I am going out, hanging with friends or working. I go medium or light when I running errands or if it's really hot out that day and I have to be outside. No matter what I wear though I 98% of the time wear a smokey eye. In beauty school, I would demonstrate how to do makeup for my class and my friends in beauty school gave me the nickname of "The Smokey Eye Fairy" because everyone wanted me to do it on them because they love it lol. The other 2% of time I go with a natural look or a cat eye with a bold lip. I am a Capricorn Sun and Venus, Virgo Rising and Cancer Moon but I also think my Progressed Libra Rising and Aquarius Venus in the 5th takes a role in my love with makeup. I natally have Venus trine ASC and Venus conjunct NN. I also find it interesting that I have asteroid Hobby conjunct Venus.

I had makeup only once in my life so far, that is when I was being taken pics in the photo studio, it was a must.... I don't like makeup on my face, I prefer natual beauty. But I do admit proper makeup makes people look more confident and prettier.

I have Virgo Sun/Venus/NN conjunct Virgo ASC in 1st house, Scorpio Moon conjunct Scorpio Uranus in 3rd house. Now my Progessed ASC/Sun/Venus in Libra, but I still don't do makeup which I neve like it on my face.

gemini rising, sun/moon/mercury in cap, venus in scorpio, mars in virgo
mainly saturnian and plutonian

i love makeup, i adore it and use to be alot more adventurous when i was younger, but now i have my routine down pat and i love love love it. i think it's mostly my venus in scopio and 8H sun and moon that influences my makeup the most and a bit of my 9H stellium

i do usually got for a full face of make up.. everyday. but if i need to pop out to the shops to get like a bit of milk then i'm not that bothered ill just powder + brows and go but thats about 3 time a year..

usually i go for the me but better look. i like to accentuate what i like about my face. i have oily skin but i'm not a fan of the now dewy luminous to the point where you look like you put oil with glitter in it on your face trend and before that the whole matte mask look. i like satin finish and healthy and natural as possible..but better. i don't really follow make up trents

so revlon colourstay with a beauty blender but when my skin is better i use boujois healthy mix serum foundation.. concealer under my eyes if i use boujois.. in that case i use mac pro longwear. but with the colourstay i don't need to..

then my eyes which takes the most time - i stay with a shimmery cappuccino/patina colour wash (urban decay suspect), then do my cats eye with a black (urban decay demolition) pencil and my upper water line...then darken crease with a dark brown (mac cargo) then i use the same shade under my lower water line..the colours i use are usually cool toned browns. if i go out at night i mix in some darker shades, then finally mascara and i'm done.

i love love love love the sultry smoky eye.. morning, afternoon and night. it's my thing. .. must be the venus in scorpio!! (i think it's also why i'm known for always having blood red nails)

then i usually keep the rest of my face as natural as possible.

do my eye brows (hourglass arch brow sculpting which can double as eyeliner in a pinch if you're running out of time) i don't fill in the whole thing cause that doesn't look natural..

then i do some contour with kevin aucoin sculpting powder medium and a mac 187 duo fibre brush cause that looks the most natural. usually under my cheekbones - i like them to stick out a bit more plus it takes off 5lbs in the face. and on my jaw. then whatevers leftover goes on my temples.

blush on the apples of my cheeks and blended up and a bit on my nose cause then it looks like i actually am blushing instead of just i have blusher on (rimmel london lasting finish mono blush in pink rose) and that has some shimmer cause it makes me look a bit healthier and cause i'm not a fan of the matte mask look. then powder with some nars light reflecting translucent powder - has the slightest bit of shimmer to it but it's mattifying so i again don't look like a matte mask.

'my lips but better' lip liner, fill in a bit usually not the whole lip, and some matte lip balm cause i don't like the look of shiny lips personally (nuxe reve de miel honey).. on nights out though i love a good blood red lip with a passion.. usually i matte it down with powder and a tissue split in half

then i spritz my face with mac fix+ and pat in with my hands to get rid of any powdery finish

if i go out at night i do put some highlighter on - mac strobe cream because the pearlescence looks more natural than shimmer. i don't want my makeup to be that obvious. like obviously with the colourstay i'm wearing makeup but usually i like everything to look seamless and natural.

if i have active pimples id rather there be a bit of pink than to mask it with foundation/concealer. in my opinion people stare more when you pack so much on theres no pink because then they're like 'wtf is that beige bump on your face? that contagious?!' where as if they can tell it's a bit of a pimple then it's less noticeable.. like hiding in plain site.but with scars i like to get rid of them completely..but then again cause it's flat. i don't really do heavy heavy contour cause i'm always self conscious bout taking my make up off infront of a guy and him going 'wtf you look completely different'.. i do get that now but it's only over my eyes.

phew thats a long post... i think i went off topic a bit on my make up thing! but i love makeup!!

Generally speaking I take a utilitarian approach. Usually I wear light makeup when I think it will help me in business, otherwise I avoid it as my athletic hobbies aren't conducive to it and I'd rather spend my money on other things.

However, I can go over the top in some of my costumes and when I wore makeup for fun I was something of an artist about it that was not at all standard, from glitter makeup to being creative with black mascara or using metallic colors (in ways that most schools and office environments wouldn't tolerate), which is probably my Leo ASC combined with 5H Sag stellium (especially Mars-Uranus). In this case I'm either being a perfectionist for my costume or I'm trying to establish a unique look (and it will complement whatever I wear which my Libra stellium can help with).

Many years ago I was with someone who insisted I adopt a feminine look and for that reason (rather than transits inspiring me to directly) I did...and I was encouraged by how differently people treated me and also how good it was for business (which is why I still use a little makeup for it to this day) so I chose the time to explore more feminine looks (more dignified and tasteful rather than sexy, at least generally speaking) which was interesting, but after we split years later I stopped and haven't looked back. Yet even in those times I tended to wear light makeup (but more than I do today and I also grew my hair out long which required more attention as a result) due to costs and lifestyle and focused more on my dress (just as I normally do anyway). But for the first 3 years I really enjoyed it.

What a fun topic

I guess I'm a bit earthy - Sun Taurus/6H, Moon Virgo/10H but then I also have Scorpio AC and a fire 5H Venus conjunct Jupiter.

My best friend growing up was WAY more into makeup and beauty than I ever was (Pisces AS, Cancer Sun, Aqua Moon) so pretty much all I knew about makeup was from her. Even so, I was pretty low maintenance (I only ever wore a little foundation and eyeliner - she used to do my makeup for me most days, lol).

Right after I graduated college I got really in to makeup and learned a lot of new skills/fancy makeup techniques. I was very "glammed out" for a few years - mainly because my skin was not that great and I went through a hair dying phase. The color didn't really match my natural coloring so I usually went full-on with the makeup everyday to counter the dramatic hair (Think Ditta Von Teese - not over the top with colors or anything but still super done and super precise makeup).

Did that for 2-3 years then just got fed up with amount of time I was spending on myself (and money!). Plus I felt like all that makeup was making me look old for some reason. I cut off the dyed hair and now I'm back to being a minimalist

I'm also really in to non-toxic/natural products and I'm trying really hard to be more conscious about what I use on my skin/hair. I think this has made the most impact on my beauty routine (in a really good way, lol).

I usually wear concealer where I need it then powder my t-zone (because I'm quite dewy naturally), add mascara and tinted lip balm and that's it for me. I also let my hair do it's thing naturally. I only add a volumizer or leave-in conditioner when necessary and that's it - no curling, blow-drying, straightening...none of that.

I will still get glammed up now and then. I like saving the full makeup and hair looks for special occasions - there is usually much more of a "wow" factor that way, plus it makes the event feel so much more special to me. Nowadays I only go crazy with my nails. They are always wild colors/designs...something bright. I like the contrast

Cap sun/venus/asc, venus/saturn conj asc.

I love makeup and all things related to pampering oneself, like spa, massages... all that. Could be my taurus mars trine asc.

I like taking the time to put makeup on, it's relaxing and somewhat therapeutic to me. But I dislike the process of taking makeup off of my face. So in the end I don't wear much makeup, despite loving it.

I don't wear foundation, powder, blush and the likes. No skin makeup for me. Occasionally I wear eyeliner. Navy and purple mascara are my favourites.

What I can't get enough of is lipstick. I wear it almost everyday. A swipe of red lipstick does wonders to my mood. In my early teensage years (around 12, 13), it was only light dabs. As time went by, my lip game got bolder lol. Brick red, cool deep red, bright orange-y red...etc.. I love them all. Currently I'm slightly obsessed with Ellis Faas. Sometimes I apply a little gold or copper shimmer on top.

I wear light make up on a daily basis. By light, I mean: shine control powder, eyebrow pencil, lipgloss, sheer cheek highlighter and some blusher. It sounds a lot, but when it's on... It's not.
On a night out, I wear the same, but TWICE or THREE times as much. Plus mascara - lots.

Because I have brown skin, you have to do quite abit to ensure make up shows up and lasts throughout the night. Sometimes I'll change up the lip colour, but I'm all for peach or clear glosses. I've been experimenting with red and purple recently though.

Aspects errrrm... Not really sure what would influence my look. I've got Venus (Taurus) opposite Ascendant (Scorpio).

Pisces sun/ Pisces moon/ Leo rising

I'm pretty natural with my makeup on a daily basis. I am an athlete so I guess I was raised being comfortable without makeup on half my life. I don't want to be one of those girls who you can't recognize when they don't have makeup on. I just use foundation, a little blush, mascara, and lip gloss.

If I'm going out for the night I'll fill in my eyebrows some (I already have dark sharp eyebrows so not much to be done here), Foundation and blush, neutral color eyeshadow, some eyeliner on the top part of my eyes, with some lip liner and lipstick. It still usually comes out pretty natural looking.

My ex boyfriend's friend once said to him how I don't wear a lot of makeup and asked if that bothered him (why would it?) He said to her that I'm natural looking and he isn't into girls who wear lots of makeup. His friend used to wear pounds of makeup and all of her Facebook photos are her own selfies showing off her hair and makeup. She is a Virgo. Not sure what other placements she has.

I'm unsure how much astrology can be correlated to cosmetics beyond wear / don't wear, but I ❤ playing around with it and am curious about the answers!

I'm Gemini Rising / Aries Sun / Taurus Moon

Honestly I love natural make up the best and I don't experiment with colors very much because it feels too flashy for me. I'm envious of people who can create looks with flashy colors eithout it looking too heavy though.

I used to use primer on my skin before foundation, but as I grow older all these little things slow fown my routine too much. I'm not as worried about every little thing on my face and making it look flawless like before, and that stems from a more secure place than when I was in high school and using concealer for my non-existent dark undereye circles. In any case - I use Sonia Kashuk Luminous foundation and it looks pretty and dewy (unless you walk two miles underneath the Texas sun, then you just look like Edward when he glitters.)

Next I use Subculture in MAC Lipliner (they're my favorite, I always love how MAC looks as a finished canvas granted their staff gets mixed reviews). And line my lips just slightly larger than their real shape, another nude lip color to go on top and some clear gloss looks pretty to me.

My big thing is my eyebrows! I like strong eyebrows but have been balancing leaving them too heavy and harsh. I use a flatbrush from Sephora that's probably as wide (or a little less than) a penny. I basically shape my brows with these with a taupe colored powder (Venus by Urban Decay) and then use a smaller, smudge brush dipped in a LITTLE foundation to clean up the outer edges and make my shape look immaculate.

I try to wear fake eyelashes but it irritates my eyes so I normally just put on some light mascara and blush and call it a day. If I'm going out I do a brown smokey eye and really like MAC's pigmented loose eyeshadow powder to put in the center of my eyelid so that it pops. I have hooded eyes and am always trying to master the cut-crease which gives the illusion of a bigger / deeper crease.

I used to wear makeup to work, but I don't anymore so I have more time to sleep. I'm actually more myself when I don't wear makeup than when I do. I think the vanity of it all does something to my ego when I wear it, because I'm aware I can do makeup well.

Aqua with Virgo rising/ Cap moon/ Ven in Sag

I die for sparkly things, haha, meaning 95% of my eyeshadows are with glitter or at least silky finish. Same goes for eyeliners and I simply looove highlighters.
Also I love colour and/or to colour match my makeup with what I'm wearing.
Not that much into contouring cos I don't need it and I only like it if it's very light and to enchance the natural features of the face.
Don't wear makeup on a daily basis except for my brows (can't leave the house without them) and a Korean bb/cc cream. Some days I do mascara if I have time, but I go for bold spidey lashes and this sh*t takes tiiimeee! Haha, so I usually don't bother.
Going out is a different story - I like to pimp me up - but still a radiant look. Don't go overboard. If I have a statement lip eyes are more natural and vice versa.
Beauty, cosmetics and makeup have become an interesitng hobby of mine in the recent years.
I love little tips and tricks and DIYs.

Scorpio Sun/Cancer Rising/Gemini Moon

It depends on the occasion.

If I don't have to see anyone, I don't wear makeup (that's usually on weekends).

When I go to work, I put on some foundation, blush, light eye shadow, mascara, eyeliner and some lip balm.

If I'm going on a date, I add highlighter, contour and individual lashes.

I don't have a huge makeup collection. Only the essentials I need.

Funny enough, I find that it kinda fits a scorpio to use lots of liner ahah

Thanks to everyone who replied it's really interesting to have all kind of answers to a post like this

Out of astrology, to those who use lots of makeup everyday, I know you probably take care of removing it properly in the evening, but does it cause a lot of break outs/dryness on your skin?

@RoseLyli:
Exactly the reason why I wear a BB on a daily basis. The city air is awful and my skin gets breakouts or dry patches if I don't protect it. The quality of everything you use and knowing your skin well is also very important. Sleeping with makeup or having it on for ages is something that is unfathomable to me.

Scorpio sun/rising women tend to like the black eyeliner quite a lot based on my acquaintances .
