That's good! I am not really a fan of some models faces myself. Because some of them only have cheek bones, and no cheeks. When I see that, it does not look healthy to me. I see this more with runway models for high fashion though.

Yup, I never really used foundations, just mineral makeup sometimes, but now I only go for Korean cosmetics.

It's true. Most men have no idea what a naturally looking to them face really means. It's useless to explain, but if they're condescending I will make my point.

@meissieri:
I recommend you try out Inglot 1st - to me it's better than Mac in so many ways

@mollywu:
I think the situation you are describing is much more of a demographic or economic predicament and is bound to change as you yourself suggested. I am from Eastern Europe and I'd say it depends on the culture & also what trends as beautiful in a country.

Hi! So you've got a favourite brand of makeup, right? I've checked the website and to my surprise, it's available in my country. Hope I'll get to check them out in a store.

Just wow, there's just so much! Didn't know you could even have that many shades.

I have a lots of guy friends who shy away when I go heavier than my "natural" makeup look, except when I put on bold lipsticks. They said that I look better without makeup... their opinion changed when I arrived literally without makeup and I've been asked all day if I was sick (I have heavy bags and added that I usually wear bright and bold lip colors, not having any just made me look washed out ahah) they never argued against having make up again.

Libra, with Aries ascendant, Scorpio moon and Venus in Virgo.

I do enjoy wearing makeup, I am much more for classical looks though. More Marilyn or vintage type styles. I think that's the Libra influence, seeing as Libra is much more for classic type beauty.

There definitely is a lot of that going on lol.

I think people who talk about Models wearing makeup are missing the point. You have to be tall for one, have good bone structure.. etc. It really doesn't matter if they wear makeup or not. If anyone can be a model then I would agree but not everyone can. Simply wearing makeup doesn't mean you have what it takes looks wise.

I only wear make up on weekends, when I go out. And it's usually a winged eye liner with or a smokey eye shadow on with either light lipstick or bold, like brown or black. Thats it. No foundation, blush, bb cream or anything like that. on rare occasion I would apply pressed powder mineral foundation thing.

SO, while sharing your Rising, sun, moon and Venus (and any other aspects you find important on this matter), what is your particular relationship with makeup
Do you apply it daily? or just on occasion? never?
Do you go at it heavily (contour, highlight, foundation, the "all kit", etc), medium (foundation, noticeable eyeshadows and/or bold lips) or light (gloss, light shadows and as little as possible).

Aquarius ascendant, squared by Pluto in Scorpio/10th House
Virgo Sun in 8th House
Gemini Moon in 5th House
Venus in Virgo in 8th House

I don't wear any make-up, most days. If I do, it's only black or brown mascara. I used to wear a lot of black eyeliner when I was younger.

I carry clear/plain lip balm with me. I don't mess with my nails because they have to be clear and short for my profession, anyway. I don't dye or style my hair, either. It's long and all natural.

But I am a collector of tattoos - as long as they can be covered up with professional attire. I would rather spend my money on tattoos than make-up.

I'm a Taurus Sun, Moon, and Mercury, with Gemini Asc and Venus and too lazy to put on a full face of makeup unless to a special occasion but that's every 5 years or so with medium or (mostly)light coverage.

I used to do heavy eye makeup a while back, but I'm not really sure if that counts because I only did it for my eyes, not my whole face. I did all those crazy eyeshadow thinggies you'd see makeup artists do on youtube. Now, I've grown out of that.

I tend to dislike wearing foundation. I only wear it on special occasions along with lipstick and other makeup. I never contour unless I'm going to a party.

My daily makeup look mainly consists of mascara, clear lip gloss and eyeshadow for the eyebrows (I don't like using eye pencil). That's not even daily.. that's only like when I'm going outside. Still have to look presentable, right?

You could say it's pretty bland but I don't have all the time in the world to be doing my makeup and stuff.

I just feel like if I wear heavy makeup all the time, I wouldn't look special anymore when the time comes to dress up.

My Virgo venus is shining lol

Any women who defends make up needs to get their **** together. Do what you want with your body, but don't act like you aren't a programmed ditz. There is no bigger **** blocker than "you don't love yourself so you mask yourself" "

That's how you know it's the truth. nothing gets a worse reaction from the Disney princess syndrome children in adult body's. I know what natural faces look like, and you're only ashamed because you put your life into the media. Willpower can achieve anything you want. Grow up!

Here we go, the idea that people wear makeup only because they're ashamed of their non-makeup faces.

Makeup is an art. Self-expression. To simply consider it a tool to cover up self esteem issues... heh I feel a stab of pity for people who think this way.

I wear makeup everyday unless I'm just lounging at home. I don't like heavy makeup, and I prefer the no makeup look. I never use foundation, but I wear a loose mineral powder, blush and concealer as needed. I usually wear matte eyeshadows in ivory or flesh tones, with a little taupe or neutral plum to accentuate my eyes. I don't leave the house without brown mascara because I have blonde eyelashes, and I look like an albino without it. I line my eyes with grey or brown liner, liquid liner for a more polished look, and for a more casual look I use a soft pencil liner. I occasionally wear teal or plum liner, which changes the color of my blue eyes, but that's rare. I like nude or plum sheer lipsticks or lip butters. Nothing too bold because I prefer to play up my eyes. I only do smokey eyes or a bolder lip for special occasions, but I hate being overly made up because it makes me feel like a clown. Less is more is my style when it comes to makeup. It looks more fresh faced and natural, and people always think I'm much younger than I am. I have 5 planets in Libra so I like to look good, but I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard.

Too late. Instead, there's the Future Stepford Wives sorority for you (though non-blondes can only join thanks to quotas):

Try to find the shades of grey (not to be confused with the novel ). Not everyone who uses makeup is a Disney Princess wannabe, makeup can be used strategically as clothes and even body language. Performers often use outlandish makeup for the same reason as outlandish clothes, because it makes them memorable (and thus popular/wealthy), and is used by male entertainers quite frequently (heck, I mistook some glam rock singers, including early Bret Michaels, for drag queens! ). When there's problems with lighting while performing then makeup has uses there as well. Technically speaking, even the military and some types of assassins are known to use makeup (granted, more for stealth/disguise or intimidation but still)

Heck, I've heard of fake nails being used as a protection against mutilation (they can be surprisingly effective for this, granted I think most don't even think of this when they get their nails done).

I have my reasons to believe the fashion industry (generally speaking) is evil (or at least amoral) and does what it can to stoke insecurities in order to up sales careless of the psychological damage (sometimes resulting in death) they do in the process, but that doesn't mean everyone who puts on pants or lipstick has become a Stepford Wife or Disney Princess. If you want to be taken seriously you have to see the shades of grey between the extremes, from those who are independent, clever, or expressing themselves to the Stepford Wives who really do feel that they need snake oils put out by the fashion (and cosmetic) industry as they view themselves as having no inherent value and/or put a priority on looks (for females) over accomplishment as well (which is really sad, IMO).

That said, I do find this funny:

Makeup is an art. It is very dear to me because it’s the pinnacle of feminine self-expression and creativity.

Some people have a passion for it, some don’t but hating it is something else entirely. I honestly think people who berate makeup and its users as shallow, desperate and worthy of scorn are seriously distorted and completely detached from Venus.

Personally I adore it and my love for makeup has risen these past few years and I’m even considering taking a professional makeup course. I’ve worn makeup since early teens but just recently I began to do it more methodically and “correctly” – skin care, step-by-step application of products, using brushes, buying palettes etc.

I like and practice all looks (depending on the situation) and I have several routines:

Daily go-to makeup – BB cream, concealer (if needed), eyebrow care, mascara, lipstick or lip gloss – Looks natural, fresh and clean. I think of this like combing your hair and brushing your teeth.

Day makeup – moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer, eyebrow care, nude eye shadow, eyeliner (sometimes), blush, highlighter, lipstick – This makes it apparent you’re wearing makeup but still looks light and appropriate for daytime.

Evening makeup/Occasion makeup – moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer, eyebrow care, any kind of eye shadow depending on the look, eyeliner (top and bottom), light contour, blush, highlighter, lipstick

New Year’s Eve/Halloween – anything goes, personal fave because you get to experiment

Lately I’ve become very observant and analytical of products, brands and techniques, I do a lot of research before I buy any new cosmetics.

I have a passion for drawing and painting so I think that contributes to my love of makeup. I study graphic design which again is part of the art deal.

Scorpio Sun, Moon, Venus (all conjunct)
Gemini Ascendant (Libra Mercury)
Scorpio stellium in the 6H
Leo Mars
Venus trine Saturn
