It's like tVenus has forced me to look at myself(retrograde) and take responsibility(Saturn) for my moon which is acting out in an unloving way.

I feel like such a weight is lifted, like something that's been holding me back now I have a better idea of what to do to overcome it. I see what I'm doing and how it's not supporting to my goals or life path, it's destructive to me because I'm ruled by love(Venus chart ruler) and these behaviors are not loving to anyone.
I also see the guys I've allowed into my life have been mirroring what I was feeling inside and acting out unconsciously. They were hurting me and holding me back through those behaviors.

Now I know what direction I need to grow and how to help myself overcome my own self. Yeah!!
One more issue down, only a thousand more that still need to be seen! Lol

So much stuff has happened, and I just remember why and need to keep remembering why I cut all communication with him in the first place. I would really love Venus to go back direct so I can stop feeling the need to contact him. It's only just kicked in recently. Definitely blame Venus for it!

That aside, I've gone back and spoken to a number of friends that I lost contact with over the years; as my life became more centred around caring for my family and taking care of my own wellbeing. To an extent, I stopped being chatty and communicative and kept myself to myself. Venus retrograde is giving me the opportunity to revisit some relationships and bond with people that I went to school with. It's also showing me that it's ok to have "shallow" relationships with a diverse group of people. In the past, I used to want a deep committed relationship from one best friend or one person (hello Scorpio rising); and I'm realising that this ok and it's probably draining for the other person.

Having more connections also makes me feel freer. Like I'm not tied down to a thing or place, it also makes me feel more independent because I'm not waiting on one particular person to call me. I have many other people to entertain. It's refreshing and I look forward to seeing who actually becomes a more permanent fixture in my life when Venus goes direct later.

This retrograde threw me back to music habits I had a decade ago. It's good though. I was far more in touch with my feelings back then because I used to listen to music which would allow me to relate or daydream.

I usually listen to "happy" music that have no real meaning and which are only supposed to make you dance and upbeat. This time around, I had to channel my inner teenager! I feel like I'm 15 all over again, it's great ha. I can't wait to return to my 24 year old self once this retrograde is over though!

This happened to me with my Taurus ex during last year's Venus Retrograde. I was like: "And this should affect me because?!". I was confused as I was the one who turned him down two years prior and cut all ties with him.

Had a friendship that had just become really negative over the years - talking about it only seemed to improve the state of things for about a week, then things would go right back to "doom and gloom". I've been contemplating breaking away since the start of this year, but it was only until the retrograde that I finally just had enough and stopped answering the phone. I don't have bad feelings about this person. I just realized that we have different ideas about things and unfortunately we are clashing way too much over them - time to step away.

My mom also finally stepped away from a toxic relationship with her mother. Recently my grandma started causing a lot of pain and drama in the family and my mom finally said she wasn't going to stand by and allow her to do that. She has always had a very difficult relationship with my grandma but now I think she realizes the same thing I did - we're too different to have so much involvement in each other's lives. It's only causing anger and resentment.

This, ironically, has improved my own relationship with my mother. This retrograde has helped us talk about things - mainly what we want for the future. It helped us reset and start fresh, which is nice. I also grew closer to a friend I've known for about 15 years now. Same thing - felt like a fresh start with us.

My ex contacted me, but he does that periodically anyway. He just can't seem to let go regardless of what I say or do. I think this last conversation something shifted though and I think he finally realizes I've moved on and am not interested.

Oddly I'm feeling a little uncomfortable in my own skin right now. I'm feeling more self-conscious about my weight and my overall look. As a result I spend a little more time on myself before going out and am considering getting back in to running.

4:30 am I get a phone call from an old college flame/bestie. We start reminising. We stayed on the phone 3 hours. The connection as friends was still there. We started calling everyone. At one point there were 9 people on the phone. We are planning a reunion and cruise in March of 2016. I missed them so much, I forgot that youthful funny part of myself. They reminded me how smart I was and what I miss about the group dynamic. We literally got off the phone around 3pm.

Ok well there is one thing..it's a little complicated, but..the ex that came back at the tail end of the Mercury rx we had in May-June. We started dating like a week before the Venus rx in 2013 (I just found that out) and we are poly so he's married. During the Venus rx me and his wife did not like each other at all and basically when Venus went direct we broke up. Funnily enough we broke up during the Mercury rx in February of 2014 lol

Sometimes Venus brings back exes for no reason. Those exes who want to tell you : "See I'm over you! I'm getting married, engaged, having a baby ...". If they were truly over the person, they wouldn't think of contacting them.

Strange.

Last time Venus Retrograde brought me an ex, it was in 2012 when it was retrograde in Gemini. I have moon and mars in Gemini (12th house).

A lot of introspection and letting go of the past. I cleaned up all the material and emotional junk that will be too heavy to carry once Saturn moves back in Sagittarius.
