While the MC represents who you are to the world and what you are here to give to it the IC represents how those qualities are brought together.If the MC is the celebrity, the IC is the manager. But why is it treated as if it i so insignificant? How has your IC influenced your life guys? And what house does yours fall in? (For those who follow the whole house system) IP: Logged |

The IC is very personal. It is like the moon. It is kind of the person "unmasked" Hence, that which touches it in synastry, makes for an intimate kind of understanding.------------------

The IC represents what you experienced since your birth that shaped your adult personality.It represents deep seated experiences that get stored in your chakras for better or worse that affect you as an adult. These are mostly hidden from your conscious mind. IP: Logged |

I'm sure many have seen me say this before.. But, the IC is sometimes referred to the area in which the soul both enters and leaves the body.. It's a very personal point. To me, if the ascendant is our external self, then the IC is the deepest part of ourselves.. Possibly even having one of the strongest resonances with the soul out of all the angles.. The IC has always been an interesting point to me.. Even though it has always been kind of elusive.
EDIT: I just saw how you made more of a point that you are curious about our experiences with our IC.. Hmm.. Ima have to think about that..

experience wise, well in synastry I have a stellium of planets hugging someone's IC in the 4th. He said when he's with me it feels warm, like he's coming home and that there's a timeless understanding between us. don't underestimate it's power.IP: Logged |

The MC/IC axis gives a very deep and powerful description of who you are and where you came from. While the ASC represents the "face"...The MC represents the facial expression and the IC represents what made us make that expression. My IC is in Gemini which is in my 5th house. So I guess i should appreciate it much more huh?I have a feeling when I DIE, nothing but my writings and creative works will be left. I'm working on my next novel, a music project, and my screenplay. I have big plans guys, you may not know me now, but theres a great chance you will see my face in the future. Weird thing is, I've never seen myself living past the age of 33 and I'm currently 25. Which is funny because Readingthestars mentioned that when Uranus touches our IC we're goners. Uranus is currently in Aries. Not much time left!! LOL :-D IP: Logged |

I think if we are going to look at the IC though, we should also be looking at any planets in the 4th house.. Especially if they are relatively close to the IC.. (I would say within 10 degrees.. Even though I wouldn't consider that a conjunction..)IP: Logged |

I have Moon conjunct Neptune at 8 Capricorn and my IC is at 13 Capricorn.Pluto first transformed my feeling side of life by bringing me to a higher level/dimension and then when he approached my IC brought debris up that was negatively affecting me from my childhood. I LOVE THE IC. It speaks volumes in a chart. In synastry, that's about as intense as a nodal connection imo My IC is a degree away from my dad's ascendant, so while I don't feel I had a very "Sagittarian" childhood (filled with travel) I know that I inherited my curious mind from him. I see BML/PRIAPUS as an axis perigee/apogee, NN/SN as an axis. Why/how where you are going without knowing where you are coming from is so strong I HAVE NO IDEA. I guess because astrologers are just people. We refer to twelve signs but they are in fact 6 pairs. ------------------

Yep! Definitely! One of the most strong areas to be aspected in synastry.. And I think that is one of the areas in which it is activated the most.Moon-IC aspects, because of what I said earlier, is generally a good indication of soul relation. Especially if there is also aspects going on between IC rulers and the Moon and such.. The IC ruler and IC, in my opinion, is something to really look at in synastry.. IP: Logged |

The IC shows your closest associations. People who are close to you will have their planets/points or composite planets hitting your IC. It's like the bullseye for family matters.For example, even without birth times for everyone, it looks like my father's IC affected the family: My father's IC: 14 Aries Brother #1: Venus 13 Libra
Brother #2: Nothing much, without birth time
Sister: Sun 14 Cancer, Saturn 12 Aries
Brother #3: Mercury 14 Aries, sun 16 Aries
Brother #4: Mercury 19 Aries
Myself: Jupiter 16 Aries, sun 15 Cap My daughter's ASC: 14 Aries I could track it more extensively, but I think there's enough there to show what I mean. IP: Logged |

Because the IC is really not studied as extensively as ASC and MC (these are yang influenced points), these 2 points are outward and can be studied somewhat objectively and can be seen physically. The IC is too subjective to get a handle on it, it varies too much person to person so it's hard to test in a real World environment. But this does not lessen its effects. The IC and Descendant are yin influenced -- these 2 points are reflective and also these points can be the most abused as this is the area of the chart that we give away to others. The IC becomes even more important as we progress in life because it is the core of where we came from and genetically what we pass on through our efforts, this is not necessarily children, but what we leave behind -- our words, ideas, gifts to others, how we affected people internally with just being ourselves. Uranus is conjunct my IC right now. Peace out, y'all.   On a serious note, I've neglected the IC in the research of my chart. What's interesting is that my IC is on the fourth house cusp in Aries. Aries is ruled by Mars and Mars falls in the fourth house. Moreover, Aries rules the first house in which I have 5 planets. I recently have been getting along very with a new co-worker of mine. All his personal planets, except for his Sag sun, are in Capricorn. Now me i'm Aries and Libra Dominant. How would i get along with him? Well his moon, merc, venus, and mars fall in my 4th house! I truly believe that is the reason why we get along so well. We don't always work together, but when we do, it feels cool. We got a bit of a bromance going on, not ashamed to admit that lol. IP: Logged |
