Could be. I took up dancing for the first time in my life around the time the trasit started. And by dancing I mean a full-blown training, not just a light exercise. I even performed on stage, and experienced a nice, little Plutonian life trasformation (Pluto in 5th, I guess).

But that the same time I'm thinking...WHY must we go through all the hard aspects as we get older?? lol Doesn't life ever get easier?

To you and anyone who has been through any of those heavy hitting transits you listed, I have a few questions:

What would you do differently to prepare for it?

What makes some of us (like the girl Sylven mentioned) unable to survive the tougher transits?

My husband and I are going through our 1st Saturn Return now. All the cliche things are happening. He got promoted and has more responsibility and we're also trying to have a baby/ save for a house/ etc.

The reason I ask those questions is because Saturn will conjunct mine to the exact degree in late December/ early January, simultaneously squaring my sun. The last time Saturn opposed my sun was the darkest time of my life. It literally felt like the world had lost its vibrance and turned a few shades darker. I never knew depression was a real thing until it hit me then (and I had no knowledge of astrology at the time). However, I was born around the full moon so Saturn was doubly hitting me by the conjunction with my moon. My Saturn transits always seem to be a double edged knife...

Anyway, I wonder if because some of us are weaker than others that it burns us out easier?

And IS there an actual way to prepare? How do we figure out what lessons we're supposed to learn?

Amazing questions and I'm glad your thinking about preparing for it!

You know all those nagging doubts? The things your saying I'll get that taken care of, later. I know I'd feel better IF(insert all your dreams/responsiblities)...but I just can't do that right now. I've got other more pressing things that need to come first.
You say....I love my kids/husband/mom/dad/brother/sister/best friend so much I'm going to be their for them, even if it means I'm ignoring my own needs, their needs come before mine....
Statements like this will be what suddenly comes under fire....you might feel resentment, hurt, wondering why you never took care of yourself, why you never followed your dreams, why you let others stop you from being happy. Anything fake, anything leading to you not feeling fulfilled and whole will suddenly be brought to the surface and you will see where you let yourself dine and lost yourself.
This is what a midlife crisis is. It's why men suddenly become selfish and act like teenagers trying to relive all the moments they feel they lost.
It's like a time to re-establish youand redefine your needs, who you are and this time demands of you to find all the parts of you that you denied in order to take care of others.
How to prepare for it? Make sure you don't sacrifice yourself to such an extent your in pain and denying your needs. Follow your personal dreams, try to keep both life's responsibilities and your dreams as something that can be done together.
Don't let your husband lose sight of who he is, help keep him young by encouraging him to keep in touch with his personal dreams. Help keep yourself young at heart and never let life make you stop feeling happy, learning, growing and feeling like the you, you want to be!

Sorry for typos, I'm on my phone.

Any thoughts?

I don't have the square at the moment - in fact, I have the trine, which means T Pluto is trine my Virgo stellium. But it's not as nice as you'd think a trine would be. T Pluto is conjunct my Neptune in Capricorn/11th house (edging closer to my 12th house cusp) and T Saturn just finished passing over my natal Pluto. T Saturn is also conjunct my MC.

If there such thing as a quarter life crisis, I'm going through it at the moment. My natal Pluto is in 9th house/Scorpio so I've had the urge to go back for another bachelors degree and possibly a masters at a new school far away from my home, devoted to just that area of study (which seems very Plutonian to me - intense study in one area rather than scattering my energy). The field/job associated with my first degree is just not working out - there's no forcing the issue, and in fact forcing it just seems to make it much worse. An urge/need to "start over" and re-build myself and my career into something different than what it is. An acceptance of what I am and am not capable of, not feeling like I have to apologize for the decisions I make. Recognizing the ways in which I sacrifice myself for others and it negatively affects me, my dreams and aspirations. Relaxing about what my family thinks about me, knowing that they will be happy with me as long as I'm happy (I have Moon & Mars opposite my MC natally). A clearing out of friendships and relationships which no longer work for me (my Virgo stellium is in my 7th house)...

I've also heard that intense Pluto transits are a good time to seek the help of a therapist, which I can totally understand.
I generally have a pretty good hold on my mental health, but fighting the issues that Pluto and Saturn are pushing has just made me anxious, depressed and for the first time in a long time, experiencing night terrors. I'm fighting the urge to resort to old bad habits such as smoking to deal with the anxiety, even though I know that's not the answer.

When T Pluto does square my natal Pluto I suspect the crisis will be much more intense...but the trine is certainly hitting me hard at the moment. Maybe I will have "evolved" and learned my lessons from Pluto and Saturn by the time that hits...

Thanks Gabby! That definitely makes sense.

I looked back over my Saturn/Sun transits. Either someone close to me has died or part of myself died. The worst part of astrology (for me) is looking ahead with fear. Perhaps being true to yourself, like you mentioned, is the most important thing. So when those hard aspects do hit, you'll have no regrets.

Oh my God I'm so glad I'm not alone.

I've actually been feeling the strongest and most confident I've ever felt up until the last little while and I just checked and tPLUTO is dead on conjunct nPLUTO and boy am I feeling it. I feel alone and like I just want to move forward but can't. My mind is obsessing over stuff and I just want out!
I'm actually off to see my psychotherapist soon so I'm hoping we'll get somehwere with this anxiety. It's gripping me this week. Perhaps its also the influence of the eclipse coming up to conjunct my SN. It's all falling on top of me.
January is when tPLUTO will start to separate from my natal so hoping I'll feel better.

Gabby, where is tPLUTO sitting now for you?? At what point did you start to feel better?

Luckily, I have also had tUranus sextiling my sun this year so I'm sure that's lightened the load a little.

aaaaaargh pluto!!!!
