I clicked on it out of curiosity, but the photos they showed of "users" were obviously stock photos of models with the same background. Maybe they are just getting started, but it seemed shady to me.In theory an astrology dating website sounds brilliant, but strong attraction aspects can be a double edged sword. There was a site that I found before, but it seriously had like 10 members.  It was slim pickens. Honestly, I think your chances are better here. IP: Logged |

I had the idea to maybe DO an Astrology Dating site but it did not interest me that much. I think people could get really angry when they did not like the person  ------------------

For some reason I dont really like the idea of astrology dating lol. I kind of feel like a lot of the powerful aspects that bring two people together are karmic.. then there are those classic attraction and hot sex aspects. Either way it might lead people to believe that aspects will make or break a relationship or might even make people kind of delusional, which is something I see even when people just look up synastry about someone they met through more traditional routes. "Oh our moons are trine so we must be deep emotionally, he is ignoring me but I feel he is just brooding and being emotional, cause our moons are trine right??" or the classic "He is a scorpio-something and he stopped talking to me, is he playing scorpio games?"IP: Logged |

I think it would be nice to have an astro site where you could plug in a request to be matched with someone with Pluto trine your venus or Mars conjunct Venus synastry. Or whatever it is that people think are HOT aspects... If you can find one with moon compatibility, that's also nice.And if you want something that lasts, then search someone that makes good Saturn synastry aspects, and voila! :-D

Haha. True. But isn't that the same issue with regular dating sites? You fill out a questionnaire listing your likes and dislikes and your thoughts and so on, you post your pic, and then you meet people to whom you may or may not be attracted and there is still no guarantee that you will hook up and even less guarantee that you will live together happily ever after. You will still obsess about astrological synastry and composite regardless. I think you can meet someone special out at the grocery store next door, at professional gatherings, in school, at work, and also on dating sites of all kinds. And if you're an astrologer, you will still be playing those astrologers mind games trying to figure out your SO, regardless of where you meet him/her. come on, tell me I am lying.  IP: Logged |

^I should add I dont like the idea of online dating as well!  You are going off a couple photos that are THE most flattering photos they could find, and a description of how they perceive themselves to be. It would take two very honest and evolved people for it to work well. And I just hate the idea of selecting a date by certain traits before getting to know them as a person.Also if you are obsessing about synastry.... what happens if you meet someone you have like ultimate perfect synastry with? What if you really like someone with okay synastry but someone with like incredible synastry pops up? Its easy to ignore like someone really attractive or someone who likes all the same things you do, but astrological synastry? its SEEMS more fundamental and karmic. Maybe its my mutable angles and nodes, but I kind of like going with the flow and letting fate take me where it will. IP: Logged |

From what I've heard from others, E Harmony has an extensive questionnaire that matches people based on an algorithm. Not just photoshopped pictures from 12 years ago, and anecdotal likes and hobbies. They do reject a lot of people though, but the people that I've known that got rejected were pretty much lost causes. They were single for a good reason. There was even a guy on here that claimed that he was rejected by E Harmony based on income, then went on to say that because of that rejection he wanted to burn down their headquarters with people inside. Seems that their questionnaire can weed out the crazies. No offense to any E Harmony rejects.I would trust an algorithm that was based off of hundreds of questions/answers to narrow down possible matches. I know that Pandora has me figured out! They play a lot of the same stuff, but I swear I will think of a song, then it plays. It creeps me out sometimes. IP: Logged |

I think it's a ridiculous idea. The person or people behind the website are wasting their time, they haven't event populated the site yet or made any functionality.Attitudes will never change for dating sites, even if astrology is involved. People will always be picky and fickle, it's a fact. No matter what algorithm is used to determine your 'partner' from a series of questions. It may try to assign planetary aspects e.g. Sun trine Moon to gain your character and then use synastry aspects to try and link people together. But everything is on paper, not reality. Just because 2 people have Moon conjunct Venus, doesn't mean they are great for each other.

This website looks very unprofessional: poorly designed banner (don't even get me started on THAT font hahahahaaa), badly edited template (probably, due to a lack of knowledge in coding), strange colour palette, broken navigation...Scott Fredeman, do yourself a favour, ask for your money back and hire a professional. Hello everyone. This is Scott, the developer of this website. We had a problem with the website yesterday due to a tech disabling our plugins. The site is fully functional now. Feel free to ask any question you would like about it. Those profiles you saw were test profiles but I removed them so you don't think it is shady! :-)I am offering free charts and reports to all who register so they can share their information with potential dates. Indeed this is a full open honest relationship type of place when you trust someone with your astrology data. The idea is to understand the relationship Karma going into it so you can transform the negative emotional entanglements to a more positive experience, thereby creating a co-creating relationship instead of a Karmic one. Welcome, Scott! I think it's a great idea.The initial glitches were a turn off and I am glad you're fixing them. I am actually surprised at the negativity expressed around having an astro dating site. When almost every thread on this forum is made and populated by people inquiring or obsessing or opining about compatibility based on astro aspects...Go figure. :-) IP: Logged |

Thank you Belage! I am quite surprised too. I think people who love Astrology can be great for each other. What better way to REALLY KNOW someone than through Astrology. Hi Belage, to start off I am emailing PDF charts and natal reports to all members so they can share their reports with dates. When they communicate with each other they can discus their reports. I have also thought of having someone program a matching up script to match people based on different astrological configurations. That is something I would invest in if I can build the site up first and revenue is generated. For now the site is to attract a common interest in Astrology, whether they are just a simple observer of the art or a full on professional Astrologer. There are millions of people who are casual observers that can read our reports and get enough information to get to know who they are dating. Thank you for the suggestions!! Well kudos to you for registering and stating your cause. It helps, because to be honest, even though I find the idea interesting, the delivery needs some more work still.
