Just for fun (it helps if you've ever seen Sharkboy and Lavagirl, a movie played on the Disney Channel), I loved this dialog from a comedian about to review the movie (up to just past the 2 minute part, and the "tiny paper flute" is the pot he's supposedly smoking, for those who don't get it):

Oh! Nostalgia Critic reviews Reefer Madness:

And also the top 11 anti-drug ads (and asks a very relevant question at the beginning, those anti-drug PSA's actually do more to encourage recreational drug use than discourage it because they discredit themselves and, by extension, anyone else who discourages recreational drug use):

My best friend and her fiance smoke a lot of pot, probably daily (he got her into it) and they both have Gemini Sun & Venus, she has a Pisces Mars and he a Pisces Moon.

I have a 12th house stellium with Saturn, Neptune, AND Uranus occupying it and i have NEVER engaged in any smoking or drinking.

25 years of clean lungs and liver

I think this is one of those things that goes beyond astrology because everyone smokes and drinks lol

In fact, I think my 12th house stellium, along with its square to my Moon in my 9th house is in fact responsible for me NOT wanting to engage in drugs and alcohol. Plus I have Venus and Jupiter in my 6th which is a blessing for me..

Whenever I would see my friends smoke or drink something would tell me "don't do it"..

whatever I have, :/

Pisces sun? venus in 8th?

I feel like some of the uranian aspects play into it too, just cause I generally don't believe drugs are bad.. Was just super curious, felt like I was a mad scientist performing experiments on myself.. Also the nervous energy kinda enjoys smoking, although it is NO good for that.

Pot does make you dumb.

This is so true. One of my former neighbors smoked pot for 30 years and his brain barely functions. He depends on his parents at the age of 50 to manage his finances. His parents have to hold his hand through every decision and tell him what to do. It's pathetic.

I have never smoked pot or tried any drugs including alcohol. None of it appeals to me. I have Neptune in the 12th house and it is conjunct my ascendant. My chart ruler is Saturn in Scorpio. I think my moon in Capricorn helps keep me grounded and able to cope with the harsh realities of life.

For those of you who have such strong opinions against smoking marijuana without trying it or even doing thorough research.

There have been 0 deaths DIRECTLY related to smoking marijuana unlike cigarettes.

Rat poisoining is one of chemicals found in cigarettes.
Cigarettes are manmade and full of chemicals.

Marijuana is literally a plant that grows from the dirt.

Regardless of any overblown statistics, logically, it just doesn't make any sense to have anything negative to say about smoking marijuana unless you're specifically referring to JUST the smoking aspect alone. User or not.

Well Ive smoked a lot and I STILL dont like it!!! Just becaus its a plant so healthy so nature so mellow... doesnt mean that people who choose to stay away need to be given reasons why they are stupid for having opinions against it... It makes people lazy. It really does. It makes people not give a damn about things they used to really care about. In young people, it ruins their motivation for the future. I just think its bad because I have seen a lot of people throw away their lives like this. And it really is a gateway drug too. Ive seen it and Ive experienced it.

Well nobody is really getting into the legal-notlegal aspect of it.

I hate being sold reasons on why it's ok. I don't like it and that's just the end of that for me.
I better get out of the thread. I get fired up about this and I'm not reasonable. LOL

Just wanting to let you know... you have my support!!!

I've known tons of people who smoke pot, it's nothing out of the ordinary nowadays (especially for artists/creative people, it's insane).

But for the regular consumers or those who really, really enjoy it and don't want to quit, I've seen Moon/Neptune aspects, and not just the hard aspects.

I definitely agree that it's about a strong Neptune/12H influence (hence the artists comment - they almost always without fail have strong Neptune influence) but of course not every person with such influences will be a pot smoker (duh).

I also agree with the Fire element, however I'd add Water in there as well. Fire and Water are the more "feeling" elements, whereas Earth and Air are more grounded.

As for Virgo/6H... Well, I'm with DopGang on this one. Tried it several times and didn't like it, and have no interest in it. I've also decided to quit drinking alcohol (not saying I'll never drink it again, but I'm not interested in getting drunk or even tipsy anymore).

Virgo Moon + 6H stellium in Libra/Scorpio here (and 6H Sag NN).

It might also be a regional thing... I grew up with pot being "normal" and if you refused to smoke you were lame and abnormal lol. I feel like an outcast being against smoking pot. Oh... especially as a creative person!!

What about venus? I can really see a venusian lure to it. The pleasure, laziness, good feelings, promise of good times.

I have a really strong virgo 6th-12th theme in my chart... The most compelling reason I have to stay away from drugs and alcohol is my health. (I randomly get really unhealthy... aqua 6th house cusp...) Ive also noticed pisceans have unusual or chronic health problems too... Maybe its a 6th-12th house thing... I cant say the allure of drugs and alcohol isnt there... but it's too scary when your health just fails you and I know putting bad **** in my body is making it easier for a situation like that to arise...

rolls eyes. Taurus. Taurus placements. It's practically impossible to find a Taurus of a certain age who doesn't.

Haha well everyone else just doesnt really care about if its right or wrong or legal or illegal... or they are aware what theyre doing is bad and sneak around the shadows. Uranian pisces are all like logically there is nothing wrong so it doesnt matter if its not harming my spiritual karma.... and Im a rebel anyway.

I dont know what his birthday was but I knew a guy that said he got his weed card and smoked in front a police station! I just knoooow he had to have some strong uranus in his chart....
