Hello! I am curious, what placements or aspects within ones natal chart would indicate an inclination toward the study of astrology? Furthermore, which of these would indicate success in the field? IP: Logged |

Same that would indicate material success, notoriety in other fields: Saturn, Jupiter, and Uranus-MC/Asc aspects (in a chart with a correct Asc - not as common as you'd think).

I have Astrowizard conj the ASC, Uranus( the planet of Astrology) conjunct Jupiter, which enlarges the aspect due to the nature of Jupiter. I have a 4 personal planet stellium in the House of Astrology, the 9th House. I have the SN here, as well. I never found my purpose until I found Astrology. I have been blessed to find my life purpose when I came to LL, 7 years ago. ------------------

@Ami,I just went and checked my Astrowizard. It's conjunct my Neptune! ETA: Just found other astro related asteroids: Urania conjunct my Saturn
Astronomia conjunct my ascendant
Zevzdochet (whatever it is) conjunct my sun.

I really feel like now that I'm getting into astrology (and I know I have sooooo much to learn) it is my purpose, I have my moon in the 8th house and part of fortune in the 9th house ruled by scorpio and have felt my intuitive abilities just explode over the last year as well.
A stellium in my 10th house? This includes saturn.. Venus/saturn conj midheaven? Jupiter in the 1st- pisces rising. My moon sextiles uranus.
I recall reading an astrology book about careers and the number one choice for me was astrologer but I have put so much into my career in fashion and fought so hard for it and now I'm finally going places I've come to the realisation it just doesn't fulfil me and my passions lie elsewhere. I'm an aquarian born Jan 22nd my jupiter squares uranus though.

I've got Uranus and Neptune conjunct, and both are trining my 9th house moon in Taurus. Also my south node is in my 9th house in Taurus, and north node is in 3rd house Scorpio. I'm thinking I probably dabbled with astrology in a past life or two, and found it again in this life. And with my NN in Scorpio I've been interested in all kinds of occult things for most of my life. Astrology, numerology, alchemy, ancient medicine, herbal medicine, chakras, ect. And anyone I try to talk to about this stuff in real life just thinks I'm crazy! LolIP: Logged |

I have most of what Kannon mentioned, too.edits list...might be boring to look at  Also I think Scorpio influences are a factor? I have a lot of that, too. And an interesting (to me) asteroid yod: 30 URANIA conjunct Saturn at 0 Leo
24626 ASTROWIZARD at 0 Pisces
5 ASTRAEA at 2 Capricorn Plus the very basic fact that a lot of Capricorns are into astrology. IP: Logged |

Astrology is a HARD subject. There are points, in which you have to push yourself, as does a marathon runner. House Rulers is one of those. You have to hunker down and make yourself understand this. I have a series on it to try to simplify it because it is so crucial in order to go to the next level. But, I KNEW I had to understand Astrology. On here, I saw someone make a 3D person from a chart. I can't remember who did it. I think a new person came on and she made a chart so real. I would not stop until I could do that.

Does this Cancer rising thing has something to do with a Pisces 9th house that would likely result from having this ASC?I can tell you what I think pushed me in this direction: Sun(12HR) conjunct Neptune, 8HR in the 9th as an apex of a yod with Sag Mercury, Pluto in the 3rd opposite 8HR, 9HR in Aquarius. ------------------

No. The basic propensity to feeling and accepting astrology as a real phenomenon is Lunar, just like the ebb and flow of tides, and the ability to feel lunar cycles. This is why Cancer rising types appear so often with astrologers and those who follow it. My dad is very traditional in his religion, politics, very conservative, but he bought me two astrology texts in my 20s. He is Cancer rising. He gets it.

Ok I have Astrowizard in 5th house Scorp trine Midheaven and sextile mars on IC. I have been casually digging into astrology for 20 years by myself for my personal chart only. I just can't remember what I learn for some reason. Can't put it all together. Cancer rising too. Somewhere i have a block on this and i'm thinking maybe that's supposed to be.
