That day were life makes absolutely no sense to me and feels meaningless that is the day before I get my period or The Day I get my period every time, often that is how I can tell I am about to get it bc of the dark mood I get in.

I have venus and mars in the 8th and my Venus quincunx my Moon which rules my 8th and is also part of a tsquare so I am thinking that is why my monthly cycle is challenging for me and affects my mood greatly. The 8th rules the reproductive organs and the moon is our monthly cycle.

So I am wondering are there are females out there who are not affected by the hormonal changes of their monthly period and who don't feel that their period DISRUPTS their life and mood for a few days at least??

In my head I think we all suffer from this misery but if I am wrong I would love to hear who you are and your placements. [b]What is your 8th house ruler and what aspects does it make??

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. ::hugs::

I have never had mood swings (and I'm a Gemini!). My period is more of a nuisance (having to change pads sucks), but it has never affected my mood. During my period, I have slightly less energy, but I'm naturally very energetic so from an outsider's perspective, I'm still my usual energetic and bubbly self.

My eighth house ruler is the sun, which is in gemini. My sun trines jupiter and opposes uranus.

Seriously. I get all of those things. My moods are terrible, and then it lasts forever.

The ruler of my 8th house is Neptune, which is the apex of a T-square with my Sun and Moon, and also the apex of a small triangle (talent triangle?).

Afflicted Moon, afflicted 8th ruler...?

Hormones are very real, the fact that we bleed out of our Vaginas is very real, the fact that our bodies get ready every single freaking month to conceive and getting our periods is the result of not conceiving is very real and not socially constructed. Hormones play a huge role in our emotions and well being and some women are more sensitive to hormonal changes than others so PMS is not socially constructed and they use to call it hysteria back in the day.

Ofcourse your body under going a complete transformation every month for a lot of women would lead to nasty symptoms. Yes exercise, diet and taking supplements can help control the symptoms up to a certain point but saying that is a myth and that is socially constructed is insulting specially for women that have it even worse than me in that department. You probably don't get real terrible PMS to start with so exercising, diet and taking supplements helps you a lot to the point that you don't experience any symptoms at all but for SOME people even if they did everything in that article it would only ALLEVIATE the symptoms not get rid of them and their period would still be disruptive even if they take medication.

YES! Everything about this reply is correct.

I wish I didn't get PMS, but I guess I'm just not that fortunate. I have an ovarian problem that makes it worse sometimes, if you can imagine PMS and periods being any worse than they already are.

Men really annoy me around that time of the month. Especially if they're overly abrasive - my 4th house Moon and Mars are just too freaking sensitive for that. That's about the only thing that can make me snap and get irritable.

I get overly emotional in a quiet way. I miss people I haven't seen or spoken to in a long time. I just want to be around my mom and other female relatives. I get needier than usual and want to cuddle - even if it's just to cuddle with my cat or dog.

As far as the actual period part goes...I pull the blinds and if possible, avoid the world for that week. It's just awful.

I also forgot to mention that I have to take prescribed painkillers for the cramps. I used to treat it with heating pads, exercise etc. but it just got to the point where I was curled up in a fetal position, crying my eyes out because the pain was so severe.

Everything that I've read here so far seems to suggest that the cause is, aside from the medical conditions I've been diagnosed with, probably my Moon square Venus aspect in my natal chart.

StubbornVirgo, I used to be in terrible pain every month, as well. They eased a bit at some point, and are mostly better now, but I still get hit with that white-hot pain at times.

I can't handle any heat on my back or abdomen. Painkillers never used to help, but tylenol usually does now (I can't swallow pills, so I need the liquid). I need my back uncovered, and to have a fan running, to cool it down, and then I use a hairdryer to slightly warm certain parts of my body (like an area on my legs) if I'm too cold. A heating pad would make my cramps a lot worse. During the summer, I kept the air-conditioner in the window, cranked up, and then covered up part of myself, and made sure my dog was warm enough (also covered up).

I've read that turmeric milk helps with cramps, but you'd have to be careful to not mix it with certain types of medicine. There are times when a liquid diet helps - I was on a modified juice cleanse the week before my period, in July, and I barely experienced any pain, or PMS. I felt wonderful. If there's any food that needs to be digested, it's going to make the pain worse (at least for me).

Some say PMS is related to the collective feminine pain body. All the shame and disgust which have been heaped on womyn by the patriarchy around this most sacred of times.. the blood of our wombs is the carrier of life

"Some" say?
Who are these "some"?

Can I meet some of them?
Are you positive they are still with us in 2015?

PS. Me thinks someone should run professional psychological treatment courses - for these individuals, if there is a "group" of them that you are aware of, running amok.

Running "free"... I should say... lol

Yeah the heating pads alleviate a little, I have those..

I am so sorry! My heart goes out to you so much!!!!!!

“There is no medical reason why a woman has to menstruate every month,” said Alyssa Dweck, an assistant clinical professor of OB/GYN at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York. “And there is nothing wrong with tweaking the system if bleeding is difficult for women.”

"As more women turn to long-acting reversible contraceptives that substantially decrease bleeding or sometimes eliminate bleeding entirely, many wonder about potentially negative or “unnatural” consequences. The Mirena is one of the most popular IUDs— it releases hormones and prevents pregnancy for five years. Thompson told me that she inserts hormonal IUDs like the Mirena for women almost every day in her practice. “Women think it is unnatural to not have a period or think that something could be ‘building up’ inside the uterus if they don't have a period,” Thompson told me in an email. In reality, uterine build-up is more likely to occur when a woman is not on hormonal contraceptives. “The risk of not having a period when on no hormones is the unchecked buildup of the uterine lining that has the potential to become precancerous or cancerous,” she said."

http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2015/09/no-periods/403894/

There is IUD and birth control pills that can stop periods all together but for IUD I heard that the first few months while the body adjusts could lead a heavier periods at first.

I fantasize a lot about the idea of not having to deal with my period monthly bc it does disrupt my mood and life significantly enough, in your case I can see is a much bigger disruption than mine, I empathize.

I am going to think about these alternatives and consider it even though typically I react against it but its worth looking into it and maybe trying one of them out. I have a friend that uses IUD and she loves it and come to think of it she is always in a good mood consistently and now I wonder if is bc she has stopped menstrating.
