Very nice. I am becoming a fast follower of these threads

My sister has Saturn in 5th. She doesn't fear expressing her more creative side IMO. She is very creative and has many ideas.

But I think that she has had some pretty painful lessons in as far as romance is concerned. Also with kids(other 5th house associations).

She suspects that she may never be a mother. And although I can see that she desperately wants to be. She thinks that it will not happen for her.

I have Saturn in 8th and I do agree that sexual repression is often associated with this placement.

I don't want to be inappropriate. But I have also read that such individuals have difficulty in sexual performance i.e the men may suffer anxiety in performance(decreasing their interest in sex because of the embarrassment).

In women,it can occur that she never truly experiences what it is like to have an orgasm. Something that she may have to "fake" in order for the man to be happy.

But then again, that is almost half the population of women the world over

In my case,it comes about as sexual abstinence. Something that I suspect may likely happen as I grow older.

Could Saturn in 8th also suggest the sudden loss of a paternal figure?

SB

Jupiter is interesting in what it does. Ceri and I were talking about this.

It seems to intensify what it touches like "make it bigger". Expand is the word I am looking for.

With Saturn, Saturn contracts and Jupiter expands, so it would be hard to get a feel for it.

Is Ceri around lol

Great comment, Aries. I learned a lot from it and appreciate that.

The 8th may be associated with deaths but I have not heard Saturn and deaths, although it makes sense.

I have seen the Moon there and the death of the mother.

What do people think?

Belage

If you could write a little blurb about Saturn in the 5th and 8th, what would you say?

Thanks

Well, my Saturn is in the 12th, and I've been pretty much a loner all my life.

As I said before, with the 12th House, the planet should be 10 degrees away from the 1st house or it counts as 1st House.

I am not writing this to you, but to others lol

You know what would be fun? The people who don't agree what what I said can write a small paragraph with how THEY experience the placement.

Make sure to tell us what the placement is. That would be a great way for all of us to learn more!

Ami...

Come on....

This is too funny!!!

NOBODY in the astrological community would agree with this. Granted you have made a lot of stuff up off the top of your head before that people have embraced as Truth just because you said it.

But this???? No. Not gonna work.

I know you'll repeat it now at every opportunity to drive me bonkers.

All you have to do is spend some time working with event charts to realize the transiting ASC is extremely precise and sensitive to the moment. There is a BANG with the ASC. It does separate the 12H from the 1H, it makes things manifest and puts them out in the open. A planet in the 12H in the event chart might be remembered for how it just interacted with the ASC, but there is no potential for it to be triggered by the transiting ASC again until the next day. And that's important.

Planets in the twelfth house, which are a few degrees away from the first house should be considered part of the first house.

http://www.southfloridaastrologer.com/1st-house-in-astrology-planets-in-the-1st-hous e.html

Suppose, for example, that the Ascendant (the first house cusp) in a chart is at the 15th degree in Libra, and that Jupiter was positioned at the 13th degree in Libra. That would place Jupiter in the 12th house, right? That's what the computer would say, but many thoughtful astrologers would read this as Jupiter being in conjunction with the Ascendant, and end up reading it as bringing its action to bear in the first house, rather than in the 12th.
http://astrology-numerology.com/astrology_planets.html

The closer a 12th house planet is to the Ascendant, the less of a secret it really is! A 12th house planet that is conjunct the Ascendant within 10°(TEN) is much more apparent to people around you and the world at large than you believe.

https://skywriter.wordpress.com/2009/09/29/7-secrets-you-may-not-know-about-the-12th-house/

The first house of your horoscope represents your identity, physical characteristics, appearance, health and well-being, the physical body, vitality, attitude, temperament and the way you look upon the world. It also represents your self-image, outer personality and disposition.

Any planet placed within 8.(EIGHT) degrees of the Ascendant will have a marked influence on the personality and will add to the characteristics and all things governed by the house in which it occupies.

Well I disagree, and you didn't say a few degrees, you said:

quote:
A 12th House planet is, always, the hardest, in my opinion. The planet must be ten degrees away from the Ascendant to be considered 12th House.

Can someone explain the 7th house of Saturn may make the marriage hard? Like how?

Saturn is DELAYS. Marriage may be delayed. It is the House of LEARNING lessons.

Hence, for your maturity, your lessons may be learned through serious relationships.

Our lessons are not, usually, pleasant lol

However,Saturn will reward you if you stick to trying to have relationships and to LEARN.

There is no reason you cannot have a happy marriage!

Chiron, otoh, would be different.

There would be PAIN in the arena of marriage. I think Chiron pain stays with us.

Others may disagree.

Thanks Ami!

So, do you mean it's about immaturity in relationship before the lessons learned?

You said, "There would be PAIN in the arena of marriage." So, beside painful marriage, will it effect the partner too? (the partner feels the pain of the relationship because of the struggle of the houses owner?)

I'm sorry to ask you a lot, it's not my own house, but I think it's my bf house, he desires relationship but a relationship with him like.. pain.

I LOVE questions, H!

I think that the person learns his life lessons, to a large extent, from the House of Saturn.

I suppose his partner would feel it but it would be one of those questions that really could not be answered without the synastry, I think.

I dunno. Mine looks more like 15 degrees. Actually, it says Saturn 20... so I assume it is 20 degrees into 12th, so it's 10 degrees away from ASC?

I checked out those links. While Pluto first house was really accurate for a short description. I read for mars in the first (Which mine is 12th - conjunct) and it didn't fit.

My Saturn is 10th. What you wrote sounds right. I'm just not sold on the 12th equals 1st within 10*. We might as well just not even call it 12th then and just say that the asc is 10* after the start of the first.
If we're to believe that it behaves as a first house planet.

It takes me almost an entire week to do a natal chart.

There are hundreds of details which modify other details.

However, for purposes of learning, one must break down the chart.

That makes for issues because it is artificial.

Especially since in some places, using Placidus, some houses aren't much bigger than 10 degrees.

I can see how one would say a 12H planet within 2-3 degrees of the ASC would be more obvious. But not 10.

Completely agree, even more if ASC and the planet are in the same sign!!

Ami,

Oh I see you added one.

Donna Cunningham has a good reputation and I'm surprised that she is promoting this idea.

Still, her idea is not fleshed out and leaves a lot to be desired clarity-wise. And she isn't saying the 12H = the 1H.

Obviously in the example she gave the person is exhibiting 12H behavior (closeted) so it's real and 12H to them.

Yes I'm not saying that a planet inside the 1H by one degree is super obvious, and a 12H planet one degree from the ASC is invisible. But I respect the ASC as a cut-off point, and don't want to feel like people are considering me a liar when I say I have 12H Saturn.

I mean, why be weird.

No please! Don't over & out. Under & in!! Jk jk..

Saturn In 11th house. I hate Saturn. -_- ..

Delayed hopes and dreams? Great!

Which is right I guess, most important things I really want and I try to get, doesn't work out for me, people have let me down left right and center.
Everything I do I feel i gotta be putting in "extra" than everyone else.

This a 11th Saturn thing?
