This is odd, as in the other thread about makeup/glamour, it was pretty universally noted that Leo placements will (quite often, anyway) add to more makeup, glam, etc.

For whatever reason, I have a ton of Leos in my immediate and extended family, and a lot of Virgo/Leo influenced people in my life in general.

All of them are BIG on makeup, and many of them actually work as stylists, aestheticians, etc.

I would still look to Sagittarius or air placements for a lack of makeup.

Mars or Venus in an air sign, maybe?

My husband is a Leo Sun/Venus, and although he has probably never worn makeup, he actively boycotts any societal expectations of style, and will wear whatever the hell he feels like wearing, even if it looks appalling.

He loves it that I hardly wear makeup anymore, as he likes a more natural look on women in general.

He has Sag Rising and Aquarius Mars, which does explain a lot, to my way of thinking.

Also, consider the generations involved, and awareness of fashion/social trends.

Heavy makeup has been more fashionable in different decades, whereas we appear to be moving into a time where natural beauty (in the sense that everyone possesses their own form of that) is becoming increasingly emphasized.

This has happened before. Some people refer to it as the '60s.

I have noticed many women with strong Aries placements are too impatient to put on makeup and when they do, it's minimal.

Aries Sun, Gemini Moon/Venus... I only use serum as a base, then foundation and powder. I used to love to play with makeup, and probably would use more of it, if I didn't think that it would be overpowering with my slightly strong features. In pictures, I tend to disappear - my eyes barely show, even though they're very dark. So I guess I was wrong there.

Belage is right for me, in that I am also impatient.

My sister - Capricorn/Pisces/Pisces, Venus in Aquarius. Loves makeup, and puts on a full face before leaving the house.

If I had more friends around, and got along with my sister as well as I used to, I would definitely still try more. Hairstyles, too. I used to love doing my hair.

Maybe that's my Leo MC.

Plus, I think the whole natural look is in right now. So everyone is wearing minimal makeup :-p

I like to wear it when I go out on a Saturday night or to a party. But usually day to day it's minimal.

My sister is a triple Leo and she never wears makeup unless she has to. She's always making me do her makeup when she needs or wants to wear it bc she can't do it herself. She's the athletic type, too. I think her Sun and Mars in the 9th house give her that Sag influence everyone's talking about. She does seem more like a Sagittarius than anything. Plus she has Aries moon.

I have Sag Rising and Venus in Aries and never used to put on make-up. Simply didn't care about it. Only recently I began to play with eyeshadows and now it's one of my favourite things to do in my daily routine. It feels like integrating a part of me that was not expressed before.

Venus in Libra (in the 12th) conjunct ASC sextiled by Saturn in Sagittarius -I've probably worn makeup only like 5-7 times in my life time..I feel silly..Only thing I like is face lotions, exfoliation stuff, maintaining a clean face free of wrinkles, sun spots, freckles etc...a clean canvas.

Btw ladies I use Apple Cider Vinegar, holy smokes use it for about 2 weeks beats any chemical peel and its easy on the face. I read that Scarlet Johanson uses this and it works!

It's weird that everyone says Sagittarius bc the Saggys I know go all out on make-up. I've always attributed it to their need for perfection or to be the best, and therefore their makeup has to look flawless too.

The ones I know who never wear makeup or very minimal are:

-lots of aries placements
-moon in virgo

Ah, I have my Aries Mars and Venus in 9th. I was (and still am) quite sporty. Maybe that's the sag influence as well.

its true, I'm a libra rising with my venus in sag in the 3rd house and people say i have natural beauty. i' m all about natural beauty i' m not a big fan of make up to be honest but when i wear it i don't look to shabby. also my progressed venus is in cap conjunct aphrodite and uranus and neptune in the 3rd house so i've defently got some uranus influence as well so your right on that as well. i LOVE dressing comfortably and its often so hard to find something trendy yet comfy for my style since i' m a libra rising.

i also have jupiter square venus so that could also point to me being lazy about my looks as well cause sometimes i can be so lazy but i' m also all about natural beauty since i feel i' m very earthy with my approach to my looks.

No. I'm a triple Virgo and I don't even OWN make-up. My roommate in college was a Virgo Moon and she also didn't wear make-up.

At the risk of sounding egotistical, neither one of really needed it. We both have relatively clear, pretty skin. I have naturally cherry red lips that just look weird any other color. Wearing make-up just feels like wearing a mask to me, except it's one that requires a lot of up-keep, which doesn't particularly interest me. I don't want to have to carry a mirror around with me or run to the bathroom every time I think my mascara has smudged.

My chart is basically fire-void. The only fire I have in my chart is Jupiter in Leo/6th house. Sun (7th), Mercury(7th), & Venus (6th) in Virgo. Moon & Mars in Gemini/3rd house. Pisces rising.

i think makeup is a virgo sun and sagittarius sun thing.
Having these signs as your moon and venus I think does the opposite.

I'm a Gemini ASC
Aries Sun house 11
Scorpio Moon house 6
Pisces Venus house 10
Aquarius Mars house 10

Sometimes I think the transits can play a part in a make up/no make up phase.

I loved playing with make up as a little girl. I even snuck some red lipstick on my face when I was in kindergarten.

So as a kid I would play with it from time to time. Just lipstick blush and eye shadows.

I did theater as a kid and teen. I got very squimish when one of the moms came at me with the eye pencil toward my eye. So I had to learn how to do it myself.

In my early teens my everyday look was concealer and powder.

I did not learn how to put mascara on until I was 16. And when I wore it to school people noticed. This was also around the time I realized I need to start buying make up remover. Cause the next day it was so smudged.

Then age 17-19, if I was wearing black, I HAD TO have black eye liner on w/ mascara. Or I felt naked, and washed out. I started to experiment with smokey eye shadow looks too. Plenty of bare faced day, cause I preferred to sleep in.

Then when I was 20, I got out of a relationship where the guy felt threatened if I put any effort into my looks. So I spent my early 20's trying new looks everyday religiously.

age 23-present. I am very focused with school. I run around like my head is cut off some days. I seriously don't have the time and energy to do that everyday anymore. But it was fun when I did. It helps to know that make up has toxic chemicals in that are not so good for skin. That helps me not feel bad about it.

I got more into skincare lately. I use organic face wash, witch hazel, and I make my own serums.

Lately I only wear makeup a few days a week. It can be a nice confidence boost, when I've gone a long time. I do a little more than usual when I know that I might have my picture taken, and special events.

Also, in my opinion... as a Pluto in Scorpio conjunct my South Node in Scorpio and opposite my Taurus Venus... this makeup issue is Scorpionic... But it's a side of Scorpio I feel I must leave behind me, in this lifetime

lol
also i find it meditative...
i remember when i was in school and needed to clear my head i'd redo my make up
and i'd come back with a fresher mind able to study

Venus in Virgo maybe? I have it and I used makeup like 3 times in my 29 years. I like it but I feel that I'm prettier without it. I prefer natural makeup rather than Kardashian generic style.

Sagittarius Sun and Venus here and I am actually a makeup artist (and a licensed esthetician). I agree with Gemini Venus though.

Sagittarius of Course My Sun and Venus is Sag and I almost NEVER wear make-up (just not my thing). I don't even shape my brows (never have/never will) they honestly already look shaped so why bother. Don't paint my nails either (it's been a year and a half since the last time lol). I'm more focused on dressing impeccably and having neat hair

On the rare occasion that I do wear make-up it's only on the eyes and VERY dark. I don't wear it for fashion either, it's literally more of a hint or label for those around me. I usually don't even wear/need it though. My eyes are naturally lined with darkness and others often mistake me for wearing eyeliner anyway.

Yes! I absolutely love make-up, but by no means do I need it. Especially not to make myself feel better.

That being said, I don't put aside time for it in my getting ready rituals, but I will manage to squeeze it in while my hubby drives me to work. Usually eyeliner/shadow and mascara with a lightly tinted lip balm. Nothing too drastic for daily wear because I only have a 12 minute car ride lol

But I love doing make-up for others and playing with my own when I'm bored. Hair, too. I love perfectly applied beauty enhancements. A make-up artist knows which lines to draw to emphasize a person's natural beauty. (Definitely not saying I'm a professional!) And a hairdresser analyzes the shape of your head to decide on the best hairstyle to either elongate or shorten the appearance of the face to favor beauty standards..

It's truly an art form.
