Are there some sexual hang ups here or a strong desire to keep your numbers very low in that department. Perhaps mercurial venuses are more careful about that.

That is the impression I get from this placement but would love to hear actual guys who have this placement confirm this and share what goes through their minds and if they realize that they miss out probably on many opportunities for fun or simply correct me if I am wrong, be blunt; what is up? enlightened us all lol

My prom date for example. I was 17 a few months away from being 18 and he was 7 years older, I asked him out to prom and he said yes. He is a Sun in Gemini with Venus in Gemini and moon in Sag. My mom liked him, he was a church a boy and let me go to prom with him. (No longer a church girl here).

I have venus-mars in Leo in the 8th.

We made out that night and I even moaned while kissing, it was great but the intensity seemed to freak him out I GUESS, like he did not feel in control. He was worried that I would distract him bc he was studying for a national exam to get into med school and needed to do good so he did not want distractions and that was his excuse for not dating me.

I guess I was moving to fast for him too and the intensity put him out of his comfort zone, I was ready for something intense, he apparently was not. I would have had sex with him that night.

The other guy was more recent, last year, and he was a cancer with venus in gemini. There was an obvious strong attraction between the two and it was obvious but at some point he turned off the switch, went on denial and started to pretend it was not there. He knew I was married but I dont think that is why the switch turned off, I dont think he cared about that. Maybe he was seeing someone or talking to someone already, I could see how that would play a role in him, he was totally married to his job type of guy and I had a dream even that showed me that about him. Its how he feels in control, work work work.

Quite frankly in both of this cases I knew without a doubt I wanted to F them and that I would, just being honest here. It seems that my intensity and me knowing this so damn clearly terrified them and made them feel not in control bc they are not use to coming across this type of certainty and confidence.

I called the first one about a year later and by then he was interested but I no longer was as I had just broken up with my ex Mr. Scorpio who was definitely not scared of intensity and was on for a long healing process for which I was just at the beginning of and completely emotionally unavailable so he became available when I was no longer emotionally available.

The first one I was loooking for a relationship yes and he wanted to focus on school but the second one I was not, I was just open to having some fun with him but I feel both probably looked at me and thought 'trouble' but they are wrong about me and quite frankly projecting, its like they are scared of what I bring out of them.

A man born on my birthday, same year, has Moon in Taurus - supposed steadfast and loyal. He cheated on his girlfriend as a teen, got back together with her and stayed with her until last year, when he apparently cheated again, and is now with a new (smug) woman. I've seen the drama play out over facebook.

This is a guy I seriously crushed on in high school, and it took him two years to ask me out. I said no, because of the way he asked me (he made it sound like it was more because I liked him, than him liking me, but I later realized that highlighted his own insecurity).

I'm rarely THAT interested in someone as a romantic prospect. When I am, I can be intense, and they have to mesh with me - there has to be some sort of connection there. Maybe it's my Scorp ascendant, because a friend from LL, Fire Sun/moon, Scorp asc, is the same way, only she's more outgoing than I am, and gorgeous, so she has had more relationships, and more men to choose from.

Same here Venus-Mars in Leo in the 8th. I come across people I feel a romantic connection to over 4 years apart from each other typically but I know relatively quickly, I am very instinctual and when I feel it I feel it and is there from the beginning and I respond to it and act on it. Perhaps venus in gemini is too cerebral and think too much and this gets in their own way of acting promptly on an opportunity.

Me, too. Although, for me, it was seeing my mother and cousins get burned, then friends, that started it off.

I can see how I intellectualized it at times, when I was a kid. I could see the destruction that "love", not LOVE, brought about, so I determined that would never happen to me. I didn't know why some people made such obviously awful choices.

I've had my heart broken, and mostly been approached by men trying to cheat, or have open relationships - neither of which interests me. I'm still alone, and the cheaters are loved madly by somebody. I don't get it. If I were capable of a fling, I would have had more than one by now.

I kept attracting people who were afraid of commitment until I realized that this was the case bc I was the one that was really afraid of it but it was not socially acceptable as a woman for me to play out that role so I attracted it in partners I would get interested in, until I realized this then that changed.

I don't think Gemini Venus is as flighty as some might think, especially if they have Cancer or Taurus placements. I think it just takes a certain combination to be able to keep their interest long term. I know it's like that for me. As far as I'm concerned most men don't even have a penis, they're like Ken dolls . I don't even see them as a possible love interest no matter how hot they are, and I have no interest in a casual fling. That makes my skin crawl thinking about it.

You are basing someone's personality off of one aspect, which is extremely near sighted. In my case, my ex and I were together for 15 years and I've known him for nearly 18 years. He did not "get around" I can assure you. I have 3 planets in Scorpio, 5 planets in the 8th, and the 2 remaining planets aspect my Moon/Pluto conjunction. Cancer Sun men are typically very faithful, and his Gemini Venus trines his Pluto, and his Aries Moon is opposite his Pluto. These aspects outweigh any tendency towards being flighty or needing any fresh, new experiences. Like me, he takes matters of the heart very seriously. They don't all get bored fast, he was my date to prom in 1999, and we didn't split until we were in our mid 30's. I still talk to him on a daily basis.

The person that you're referring to may not have Pluto or Saturn aspecting personal planets, so that might make his Gemini Venus(ruler of his Taurus planets) get bored when it comes to romantic relationships.
