Hello!
Today while I was getting ready for my day, I had this sudden question. Can you guess what kind of perfume a certain sign might like? And where do you look at that - sun sign, rising sign, Venus or maybe 5th house ruler? What do you think?IP: Logged |

Hi and welcome to LL   I'm not sure.... Well I have tried many scents and seem to always favor sandalwood. It's an earthy scent, and I'm a 6H Capricorn sun. But I also love Geranium essential oils...I have the asteroid Geranium conjunct my Venus IP: Logged |

Ahhh, my kindred psychic twin!  I was just making some stuff, and was looking through my EOs, wishing I had more sandalwood! It's gone up so much in price lately that I am reluctant to buy any, but oh, I love that smell! And I'm also a fan of geranium. Lately, for some reason, my favorite scent combo has been sage and bergamot, or cedarwood and geranium. The stuff I like the least is clove, cinnamon, etc. A bit too thick/heavy for me. But I do like a touch of patchouli with something light/floral. IP: Logged |

Hmmm... I don't wear cologne often but I've liked Cool Water, Curve, and most recently Virsace. I wonder if there is an astrological reasoning. Maybe Venus? IP: Logged |

Yeah...for astrological placements, I think it's my earth placements that like the natural oils. I think that my Virgo Moon enjoys tinkering with scents, mixing them, experimenting...or maybe that's Uranus, not sure?IP: Logged |

My medication makes it so I can't smell anything... I haven't been able to smell anything for two years...But yeah I like Vanilla. Or atleast I think I do. 😕 I'm a Venus Libra 5th IP: Logged |

I am not a professional when it comes to this type of thing, but I think I have to agree with you. Neptune would explain my love of mixing the perfumes, experimenting with scents, adding scents to homemade ointments and pomades, etc. My Venus is in flashy Aries (although admittedly conjunct Ceres by minutes), and I don't consider my taste in scents to be very Aries-like...? I used to go by the notes when making stuff like that, but I've lately just been adding oils to my bath for aromatherapy purposes. Also probably more Neptune, I guess? IP: Logged |

You know, it definitely depends on my mood... I tend to really love one combination for a number of months, and then one day it just doesn't seem as appealing to me, and I find a different combo that I like. I like anything VANILLA. Alternatively, anything that smells sweet. My car smells of vanilla. My room smells of vanilla and coconut. My favourite perfume is Mariah Carey - M (http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Mariah-Carey/M-1151.html)No idea about aspects in my natal chart that would govern this. IP: Logged |

I have seen threads where some people link venus to perfumes/scents preferences. To me it makes sense since aesthetics, tastes..etc... are influenced by venus. I have cap venus. I like fresh and "green" scents. Something lively and crisp. Something that reminds me of the meadows, rain and freshly cut grass. Pine, eucalyptus and lemongrass are my all time favorites. Well in my opinion it might be Venus, because I have Venus in Gemini, so I like very fresh and clean scents.Although sometimes I'm also really into something floral, maybe because my rising sign is Libra.. so it's a little bit of a mistery!! Cool thread. Love perfumes! What scent/s do I like? On me - It's generally the ones with sweet but not overpowering fruity/floral top notes, with middle ones like nectarine, peach blossoms, orchids (etc.) and bottom notes of cedar/sandalwood. On men - The one and only, Old Spice. They don't make 'em like that anymore. --

Fruity & sometimes floral. Back in the day, I loved Peach Nectar by Bath & Body Works & Strawberries and Champagne by VS. I currently love Pacifica's line but specifically Tuscan Blood Orange, Malibu Lemon Blossom, and Mexican Cocoa (which appears to be discontinued). I have no idea what placement or aspect this comes from. I have Venus in Scorpio in the 3rd with a 3rd house stellium that includes Pluto, Mars, Venus, and Uranus. But none of that makes sense. ------------------

I normally don't wear perfume...strong perfumes are obnoxious to me. I usually just go for that fresh-out-of-the-shower smell lol. I don't mind lightly scented body wash, though. My favorite scent is vanilla. And I looovvvveee quality laundry detergent - people usually comment that I smell like clean laundry lol. I have Venus in Virgo/6th house. IP: Logged |

Funny! I'm Venus Virgo and I'm the same. I don't wear cologne often which I did mention in an earlier post.
That fresh out of the shower smell though. Mmmmm
When women came into work smelling fresh I felt like, "I wish it wouldn't be creepy if I followed them around while sniffing."

Interesting. I'm a Virgo venus too, but I like perfumes (not strong ones, mild but lingering). Although Venus is in the 7th - maybe that modifies it? And I'm a Libra sun. Hard to find a Libra without his/her stash of scents. IP: Logged |
