People may have a sense that these are hard placements, but I don’t think people recognize how hard. My teachers are the charts I study and the many, many, many brains I pick. I am a Gemini Sun, Mercury and Venus in the ninth house. I love to study and most especially charts. Hence, I have found that these placements bring greater struggles than one may imagine. I want to share them with you because I think it will be helpful. If you have any others you think should be included, please pass them along.

1. Pisces Moon
This native is uber, uber, uber emotionally sensitive. It is not a “good sensitivity, such as one finds in writers or artists, not that this placement cannot be both. It is a sensitivity akin to an emotional sunburn. This native will take to heart many things that other people can let go. Things go deep down to the core of the heart of the Pisces Moon native. Know that regardless of other placements, this person needs a little extra TLC.

2. Virgo Venus
This Venus is similar to the Pisces Moon, which is WAAAY to sensitive emotionally. The Virgo Venus is way too PICKY when it comes to love. This Venus is, also, very sensitive to tastes and smells, through no fault of his own. One of my friends with this placement will, actually, get physically sick if there is any baking soda in his food. We could call this the “Princess and the Pea” placement. Yes, she felt the pea under twelve mattresses.

3. Moon in the 12th House

People may recognize this is hard but it may be the hardest of 12th House planets. The 12th House, in general, makes for great difficulty in expressing the planet which resides within. The Moon is the deepest heart. We all need to feel what we say is important and valued. We, all, need to be able to SAY what we feel, rather than lock it inside through fear of rejection or ridicule. The 12th House Moon may suffer from this deep reticence, which may produce a profound sense of isolation.Give him a little extra kindness. He will appreciate it, even if he never tells you!

4. Mars in Libra

This native may need analysis before he can make a simple decision. Libra’s indecisiveness is not his fault. He, truly, feels stuck, as in that moment one must step on a downward escalator. There is, always, a pause that one may miss the step. Libra may be frozen in this state of indecision, so give him a break and make the decision for him.

5. Chiron in the 8th House

Chiron is hard, wherever one may find him. However, the 8th House Chiron seems to be one of the hardest placements. It seems to result in pain upon primal impulses/passions. These passions include more than sex, although this may be included. They include anger, as well, as all other primal passions. This native seems to live too much inside of her head, in which there is a pristine world, unsullied by the animal, which resides in all of us. This stance seems to result in a great deal of guilt for simply being human.

OMG don't get me started on being a Virgo Venus. It is very hard for me to find love. I just don't feel a connection with many guys. Try as I might to find something, I can't. But when I've fallen for someone, I was really dedicated to them and had genuinely strong feelings (thinking about them almost every second of the day kind of stuff) and it was hard for me to get over them.... until I found someone else, but seeing as it's hard for me to like someone, it can take me a while to get over them lol.

And being sensitive to smells and tastes, that too. If there's a horrible smell, it can make me feel nauseous. Same with if a place is super dirty or if there's grime etc. I become OCD about it. If someone has bad personal hygiene, I will not come near them. I take great care of my personal hygiene and get annoyed when someone doesn't.

EDIT: Oh! And I just learned that Venus is debilitated in Virgo.

You are ignoring other placements and just in general making a decision FOR others is VIOLATING THEM. You can only make a decision for someone else if they have given that spot
to you.

I like when people bring up different subjects. I am an earth void. I can go in any direction and just pull it back, at any time.

Earth voids are very free with order and details lol

I am so bad that I have written articles years ago that I said I would come back to edit and still haven't

OK--about your question. I only count asteroids, basically, if they are conjunct something personal in the chart such as the ASC, Moon etc at a close orb.

Other aspects such as squares and trines need to be even close-exact to 1 degree)

I have a Venus Virgo and Mars in Libra but two degrees from Scorpio.. and the latter is way more annoying... ill tell you why..
I'm stuck in a duality between weighing up every option and THEN as if that isn't time consuming, the Scorpio side then needs to dig deep and wonder if it's hard enough, tough enough, powerful enough, dark enough..
I can't really go to restaurants without having a problem.. i usually gave someone order for me or pick off of someone's plate or just stick to what i know.

I'm glad I've exercised this aspect well enough to not feel as stuck in a rut especially since I'm earthy and take only calculated risks. I think it's due maybe to my conjunction to the Sun and just earthy planets in general.

Thankfully since it's conjunct my Mercury it actually makes me a quick witted, assertive talker.. i never have to think twice about what I'm going to say. The Pluto influence in that makes me not give a damn about the consequences.. of actions/words i speak.

Mars in Libra feels life isn't fair but the Scorpio side in me is more like... DUH!

Venus Virgo though...ugh.
This Pisces Neptune transiting my 5th house Venus-Jupiter conjunction is whooping my ass since 2 years ago..
I'm still smitten with yet another man i KNOW i shouldn't even bother with..but I can't help it. Trying not to delude myself while masterminding the tipping point of not going back being overly critical and not being blindsided. It's tough.

I'm a mars virgo and I can relate to everything you've listed here!!! Also, I'm a pisces moon (on the cup of aquarius) - I'm not so much sensitive in the way that I get emotionally hurt (sag placements make me thick skinned) but I am sensitive in that I'm highly empathetic - if someone is sad, I feel it and become sad (the same for all of the other emotions). Kind of cool but at the same time there is not much control.

Great post, as always Ami!

Venus Virgo / 12th

Rather than kissing the frog and they become a prince.
More like kiss the prince (princess for me ) and then see them as a frog.

Smell is important. Something fresh. Strong perfumes, nope. No thanks. It'll give me a headache.
Poor hygiene. I imagine all kinds of nasty smells that the clothes are actually holding back. I imagine them sitting around for days without showering. Yuck. Dried, sticky sweat residue that's sat long enough without air circulation which causes bacteria to grow. (That's the smell... BACTERIA!!) Come on, man.

Now, as far as the placement being hard. I suppose it can be. For example it troubled me for the longest time that I couldn't look past things that others almost seem not to notice. So I'd try to look past also but it always bit me in the end. I accept that now. I have actually learned to look past quite a bit that used to bother me. That said, I'm still much more picky than most. I've accepted it though so I'm totally comfortable. That's just how I am and that's ok. I don't need to be like others.
The other thing though is that once I'm really really committed then I'll look past a lot! I'm not the most romantic. Well, not very romantic at all actually but at some point we're no longer "You" and "I". We're "us". Us, us us!!! We're a team. I have to fight approaching things in a business relationship way so romance and such requires thought for me. It doesn't just bubble up from the depths as if it can't be contained. In all other ways though, I take it as my duty to make sure that I do my part to make sure our needs are taken care of. I'm invested.
That romance part though. It's tough. Funny thing is that I do very very well with Scorpio Venus which after what I've just said wouldn't make much sense. It works though. I guess that I must be doing something right.

Well, if we're counting, I've got two of those and narrowly missed two others.

@DG, Princess to Toad, huh?

Faith, that resembles my Mars in Pisces. Aspecting my moon would make it worse, I guess.

12th house Leo Moon on Regulus square Sun exact conjunct my MC. Often times I look at people being confident and showing their capabilities and skills, and wonder why I can't just come out on full display and "peacock" the way I secretly to; I hate it 😔. I struggle between the spotlight, and isolation and running away from expressing myself at all.

I love being a Pisces moon! But then again I'm a Pisces sun and Mercury so I don't mind the Pisces thing :-)

I don't like that I share it with Kim and Kanye though. I don't like either of them and I don't think they're kind people. I always had this envision that Pisces moons were kind people. So it's a bit disappointing that they aren't.

It's not just Kimye. I know a couple of Pisces moon people and at least one Cancer moon person who are capable of being rather socially vicious.

One Virgo sun with a Pisces moon (who I know very well, having been exposed to her since she is one of my ex's relatives) is thought (within the family) to be the sweetest and most emotional of them all. They all talk about how great she is with babies and children - and she is, actually. However, I will never forget sitting in a diner with her one day and hearing her gossiping about various other people. She literally said (about her mother's cousin) that he was a "waste of life" since he was gay and wasn't going to have any children. I cannot get that statement out of my mind.

Don't even get me started on my ex (a Cancer moon man). I could write a book about his ability to be vicious and backstabbing.

Again, and it's been said on this forum so, so many times.... we should never generalize too much about any placement, because there will always be an exception to the rule, or two, or twenty, or thousands....

I think Pisces moon is not a saint placement or a totally-pure-intentions placement. But on an everyday basis, most of us are nice people who try and keep others' feelings in mind, just like Pisces suns.

Any placement can be tough.

Put an Aries-Mars in a group of people who are sitting around and complain about their sad lives and fates but not even hearing the good suggestions how to change it and take charge of their own lives, and refusing to actually DO anything but just keep on crying and whining and complaining, and you will see a very frustrated Mars, maybe even lashing out, though put that same ARies-Mars in a completely different environment with a lot of active people and energy flying around, and he will thrive.
