Thank you.

Sometimes it's laziness but sometimes it's not....but laziness gets a bad rap, unfortunately. *sniffle*

^^^ interestingly about 3 years ago I moved to the middle of nowhere, hoping to turn myself into a Zen Pisces moon.

Worst decision ever.

Now I am back to the city, having 10,000 things to do because I NEED to do different things all at once.

There's another aries moon I know who finds running relaxing.

So I think we all should listen to our moony self and do what's best for our emotional well-being

@Vajra

quote:
The thing is, I don't mind passivity and slowness at all and even realize their benefits - if they don't obstruct my movement. That's only fair, right?

Yep, and please don't knock me down as you are zooming past me.

I really love that Rabbit in Zootopia.

quote:
That I find toxic to be around, it can really affect the whole environment, and I see no reason to either endure it and have my spirits destroyed, or encouraging it by showing too much understanding.

Same here.

quote:
If a friend would do that (my friends don't though) I'd give them my opinion on how to make concrete improvements plus offer some form of concrete assistance, and tell them to call me whenever they're ready to take the offer, but I would not listen to the same story day in day out while they give me all the reasons that prevent them from taking any sort of action.

Not sure if I know anyone who has the same problem day in and day out...well they may take action but are in a certain bind, where it only can be partially resolved. You know, or they have a dying parent or something and it's an ongoing heartache.

Anyway, believe it or not I'm going to go DO THINGS...I have Aries in my chart too!

Thanks for the conversation!

^ See we're more alike than Western astrology gives us credit for.

I, too, know secret rivers to swim down, to avoid annoying people.

(*sniffel, sob* - poor misunderstood lunar rams!)

Ok enough complaining. The thing is, I don't mind passivity and slowness in others at all, and even realize their benefits - if they don't obstruct my movement. That's only fair, right? Complaining, on the other hand, is a tad more difficult for me. The reason is that I feel if something is bad enough to complain about, this means one should also be willing to do something to improve it. However, some people (not necessarily Pisceans by any means) are in a habit of complaining about the very same things over and over again, without however ever being willing to even try improving them (talking here about problems that can be tackled of course, not terminal brain cancer or the like). That, I find toxic to be around, as it can really affect the whole environment adversely, and I see no reason to either endure it and have my spirits destroyed, or encouraging it by showing too much understanding. That doesn't mean I would dislike such a person or think less of them btw. It just means I wouldn't want to be around while they are like that, just like they might not enjoy being around me when I'm on the war path. Fair enough, eh?

This can be me, but that's when it seems that there's nothing left to do... and when I've tried to explain certain things, people assume that I haven't already tried or considered other things.

I encourage people to vent. I used to disappear/not talk about it. Ugh, I don't like this feeling the need to defend myself, even though this wasn't directed at me.

Thinking about Vedic signs, my Moon/Venus are in Taurus in a Vedic chart. Depending on which one you choose, my Sun is in Pisces in one, and 0*Aries in another.

There was something I was thinking of asking about, but it might be better to do it privately.

How did you know?? And the morning hasn't really started yet!

I actually did put out a fire, a couple of years ago. Scary stuff. But no running for me. I posted this to facebook, the other day:

I've mostly avoided Vedic astrology, because it does seem to mostly be insulting and depressing. I can't remember if it was that, or a Chinese astrology reading, that predicted my life was going to completely suck after a certain point - that's partly been true, but it doesn't 100% suck every day. At least not yet.

^^ I think it's just like, when a behavior is described, sometimes people say, "I do that" and want to add commentary on the possible motivations, to round out the discussion. It's off topic, astrologically, just more about social dynamics.

@teasel - that picture.

I've actually thought the same thing.

Well I've had to run from a bear while 8 months pregnant and carrying a small toddler in my arms (couldn't see the bear that day, but we heard it charging, and we saw it the next day)...that was okay, we survived, but a few years later I heard the "charging bear sound" again and realized I was out of shape because after sprinting my heart was overreacting for a while.

We're selling that rural property...can't keep up with the bears forever.

I actual knew another Gem born one day before me. He was the Pisces moon and I was the Aries moon.

He was born close to the cusp of when the moon shifts from Pisces to Aries and I was born right when it shifts to Aries.

I was always pushing him, he was a lot more sentimental then I was.

In terms of describing the two of us
I would say he would be more of a big dumb innocent teddy bar.

While I would be more of a nuclear power plant, either five minutes to meltdown or lots of productive energy being generated.

Aw!

Gotta love Pisces moon stereotypes.

I like this description and sometimes feel this way with the transiting moon in Aries.

Well my moon is square Mars, so it has an Aries flavoring I guess.

my childhood friend was born 2 days before I was. We got along really well but then we drifted away

My other friend who was born 6 days earlier (Capricorn moon) however is still my friend until this date (17 years).

^ Same here...actually it's funny, my first roommate in college had her birthday three days before mine (different year). Her friend was born three days after me (same year).

Roommate is a Gemini moon.
Her friend is an Aries moon.

While I really liked both of them, I was the odd one out. They partied more, got involved in everything, biked all over town.

Frankly their way of life was just too extroverted for me.

Now the funniest thing is, years later I reconnected with my roommate, who reconnected me with her friend...we would have three-way emails for a few years.

The Aries moon's chart looks almost exactly like mine. And her life looks almost exactly like mine, even though we didn't talk for over 15 years.

* We both married much older men (Venus trine Saturn) whose parents came from another country (Sag Venus). Both our husbands spend a lot of time sailing.
* We had the same number of children in the same boy-girl order, with similarities in the naming.
* We both bought rural properties.

And there are some other things.

The hilarious part of it is, we were undergoing the same transits, and she would verbalize every last bit of frustration that I was feeling over the same things, but I wouldn't have said it. I would just read her emails laughing my head off because I couldn't believe she came right out and said everything.

We lost contact for now. 'Will probably reconnect in the future again.

I think water moons anchor themselves in personal relationships. A cancer/ pisces moon I know dated one guy for 20 years (since she was 14) and she doesn't have close friendships. Basically her life was just him.

I'm not saying all water moons are like this but all the ones I know seem to anchor themselves in a tribe.

^ That's a good observation.

For me, it was a little bit of "anchoring myself" and a little bit of, unable to leave without causing more drama than I could handle.

Dated my college boyfriend for four years, off and on. While I did have friends, I spent most of my time with him.

And while I was with him I spent most of my time alone, in my head. Because we didn't connect too well.

So being with him provided a kind of base of aloneness...and I spent a lot of time within that "sanctuary."

ETA:
I don't think I'm much of a joiner. This forum gives my 11H Gemini Mars something to do. In real life, having to get together with large groups exhausts me...I much prefer to come and go as I please from this virtual "tribe."

It would make an interesting thread topic, though (your post above).

My Pisces Moon sister only has an old friend from school, who is still in England, and her husband. She did make him the centre of her life. She once joined an art forum, years ago (2002/2003), and was her extremely shy self, but polite, and kind when she tried to join in. I can't recall what spurred on one incident, but she was getting the passive-aggressive remarks treatment from one woman, after a while. She was devastated, and has never joined another forum, or made friends outside of the family - I think she's become close to a few members of her husband's family, though, mainly his nieces.

Gemini Moon, and I've been here since 2002. I can still be very shy, but not as much as I once was. I wasn't a party girl, at all, but after years of being a homebody (and having my family here), I really enjoyed going out to lunch, and going to the movies again. Being around people, the chance that you could meet someone and become friends, or just people that you see every week, at the store, or the bookstore, library, etc. I love it. People can be really lovely, or really cruel, so I always love to meet the former.

Wow :-/ ^^ That's pretty isolated! Your sister, I mean.

Hmmm Gemini moons can be pretty shy, too...the ones I've known can actually go both ways, including my daughter. Introvert and extrovert.

edit

Mercury conjunct Uranus and square Pluto today, and I'm picky about what I want to say. Hope you saw what I wrote, but I didn't feel like leaving it up.

I didn't see it, but Mercury must be conjunct mine, because that's my transit right now. It might have something to do with what I emailed.

*edit

I'm that isolated, too. Aside from getting out once or twice a week to two different bookstores - not every week - and the grocery store, or going to work with dad. Mum is at home, but hardly ever gets up - she talks on the phone, but doesn't get out of bed for long.

This is why I am having trouble getting past losing one of the most important relationships of my life, and the destruction she wrought in it. I'm pretty much alone. She knew exactly what she was doing to me.
