Okay, natally I have a Gemini Moon, but it sits in the 8th house and is opposite Pluto with an orb of 1 minute. I've always felt like a Scorpio my enitre life, and people always come to me for counseling lol.

So how much has my moon been tinted? It's difficult for me to associate with Gemini because I don't "feel" like a Gemini on the inside at all. That's why I'm asking. Any thoughts?

Well you and I are both Scorpio Asc with Gemini Moon in the 8th (with Gemini ruling our 8th house). Usually Scorpio Asc. in general makes one feel much closer to Scorpio/Pluto than even many Scorpio Sun types. Throw in our moon/8th house situation and that will do it. That being said I still feel my Gemini even though I definitely feel my Scorpio. I love intellectual activities. I read a lot. I enjoy mind games or puzzles and I am drawn to mercurial things (except socializing...I'm not very social). I also have a Gemini Mars with my moon though.

Check out what I wrote here about the effects of the 8th house ruler in the 8th (I'm the 3rd post, can't miss it).

A Gemini Moon might be a good person to talk things out with. I also have a Gemini Moon in the 8th, conjunct Venus, and a Scorpio ascendant. I've talked friends and relatives through things, and they know they can trust me.

Yeah, that can definitely bring a plutonic influence to your chart

Cool I am a counselor and I have a very plutonic Moon.

My Moon in Pisces:
Rules my 8th.
Conjuncts my IC
Squares my nodes
Is in the Decan of Scorpio
Is in the Duad of Scorpio

Biquintiles Pluto and Quintiles Chiron forming a Golden Yod with Pluto and Chiron.

Its difficult for me to bond deeply with geminis as well and other plutonic types have said this too aside from you and I but there are always exception like 1. my last crush he has sun square pluto with venus in gemini, 2. my best friend has Sun trine Pluto with venus in gemini, 3. My ex has Venus in the decan of gemini but he is a scorpio.

I do have a thing for venus in gemini though probably bc of my DC in gemini.

My Moon in Gemini is in my 6th house, conj. uranus, I have a Scorpio Sun, Venus, and Mercury. So I feel more Scorpio than Gemini.

Why can't you be both? Who says that you have to be one unequivocally?

People are multi-dimensional and very layered. It would be a shame to minimize a part of you because it just doesn't seem "right" or "popular".

You make a good point. I should probably start calling it my Scorpini Moon lol.

I guess it was an attempt to figure out the answers to why I have these natural emotional impulses, which seem more Scorpio to me than Gemini. Typically a Gemini would be more emotionally detached, but often I'm emotionally overwhelmed. That's the reason behind this thread's creation.

I would have to agree with Electro DGX. You are both, people are multidimensional and that's what a natal chart shows. Your moon sign is in Gemini but it's in the Scorpio/Pluto house of 8. It gives you duality of both for emotions

I think everyone with an ounce of Scorpio in them feels Scorpio

And that's because it is the most popular sign in Astrology!

At the present time I feel like I'm more my sun sign and my 5th house energy

People experience emotions. YOU
ARE
HUMAN!!!
Surprise!
I think being a Scorpio moon means you feel them more deeply and it's more hidden
But the Gemini moon feels then moves on

The Scorpio moon holds on to that feeling in order to grow
There's different ways you can do it. But your natal chart will always be as it was created as.

I interpret my late Gemini Moon as being in both the 7th and 8th houses because of how close my Moon is to the 8th house. I relate to both descriptions of Moon in 7th and Moon in 8th. My chart is a bit complicated as I've recently discovered. My late Scorpio Ascendant especially tends to confuse people, because most of my 1st house is in Sagittarius.

I don't feel like a Gemini much either. What I have found, however, is I tend to operate through two different emotional modes. It's difficult to explain. Basically, my emotions are intense but also operate similar to identical twins. You never know which mood I am in until I start to talk. Mode 1 is Twin 1 and Mode 2 is Twin 2. I'm still trying to make sense of it. I do feel like in a way Gemini Moon suits me. I'm just not going to be a textbook Gemini Moon.

Maybe some of this sounds relevant to you. I'm not sure how helpful this post is.

Edit: I think it would help to not cage yourself into one position. You don't have to feel exclusively Scorpion. Maybe you have a side of yourself that fits with your Gemini Moon and you just aren't aware of it yet.

IF we could name some sign "popular" that must be LIBRA.Not that I agree with it but Scorpio has a BAD rap.

Everyone has emotions, even if they're not ruled by them or express them at every opportunity, or even if they can't be emotionally manipulated (which manipulators will then call them unfeeling).

And yet it's also hard to say who has "more emotions." Just because someone acts out emotionally all the time doesn't necessarily mean they're more emotional, it could just be they have less self-control, or less intellectual activity to modify how they act and express themselves. How do we really know? It's not like height where people can look to the tall people and understand why they think others are short or "not so tall" (while those of a different height will have a different way of viewing the sizes around them), it's more invisible than that, and surface appearances are typically deceiving.

Some is still confusing to me, like there are many who mistake their own subjective feelings and observations as objective which is how they think others are "doing it on purpose" (whatever makes them feel the way they do). That is, a person feels so they believe everyone around them is just as aware and thus know what they're doing to the person who feels whatever and thus doing it on purpose. On the other hand you have those with very common traits (like insecurity) who feel they are isolated and alone (never mind that there's a HUGE market aimed at them, which means they're far from alone, however alone they may feel).

All in all, there's a lot of confusion and no way to really know. So I could see a Gemini moon feeling intense emotions at times while many others hide their own intensity and thus Gemini thinks his own feelings run deep without realizing how deep the emotions of others run. (Though 8H Gemini moon probably does have Scorpio traits.)

Not on this board.

Seems like majority wants to be seen as mysterious irresistible sex gods, even if they just have a Pluto semi-sextile Mercury and Uranus in 8h. I don't mean you, Electro, I know you have personal placements in Scorpio.

Not on this site, not for Libra.

Scorpio has a mixed rap. Seems everyone wants to get into intense affairs with them and find them the sexiest because they imagine them as some fantasy, but don't like the results they typically get and thus complain about them (that is they love the fantasy but hate the reality). But at the same time, a few are openly talking about manipulating them or being inauthentic to trick a Scorpio into accepting her that I can't blame Scorpio for rejecting them, the evolved ones even more than the bad apples.

I also suspect that many think of Scorpios as sexually uninhibited that can intuitively know what s/he likes and act on it to control them (and can thus enjoy them without shame whereas they couldn't bring themselves to communicate their desires as they're too scared), pretty much as described by the Church of Satan as a Satanic Witch but in male form. (As one LL Scorpio male once said to the people here, "Get off my dick!" )

Though it's not just women doing it, my mother is a Scorpio (and also a Gemini moon, btw) and even knowing she's poison there are still men who flock to her hoping the forbidden pleasures will be worth it. Granted, I think most men come to her because of her reputation more than knowing she's a Scorpio, but it bothered me when I described my mother to a guy (and mentioned she's a Scorpio, the guy being a big believer in astrology) who then wanted me to then try to hook him up with my mom (reminds me of people smoking cigarettes after reading the warning labels)!

Exactly on this website! We always see something like is "ruled by venus" bla bla bla To be honest I almost wish I had my planets there

Yeah people love PLUTO... in SYNASTRY.
Especially moon/pluto venus/pluto contacts but that doesn't mean they love scorpios.
When I say they have a bad rap is because you always come across with comments like:
"They are pathological liars" "manipulative" "obssessive" "vengeful" "dramaqueens" and the list goes on..

Scorpio only lose "bad rap" when competes with my sun sign the sweetest compliment about us is two faced lol

Oh there is one placement in Scorpio that I agree is super popular.Especially for men:
Mars in scorpio.

One can't really presume to understand the depth of anybody else's feelings. Talking about them and showing them is definitely not an "indicator".

Plenty of people commit suicide "out of the blue" it seems to their friends & family. They never knew nor could gauge the extent of their feelings. I have heard people vocalize a mountain of petty annoyances, and on the other hand, seen (or rather *felt*), several people suffer silently through the most crippling of circumstances.
Still waters run deep.

^ But that's not a guarantee either. People may be silent because they truly have nothing to say too. They may be content just observing. They have more self-possession and emotional stability. So, the notion of silence = depth is also not foolproof.

What, then, are we left with?
Only that we should respect each others' feelings, and not compare, nor presume to know anything about the nature & extent of those feelings. Everyone's journey is different. Everyone's pain is real.

So, if Pluto and the 8th house are messing with your moon - remember, that they are outside forces, in a way. Your moon still has the Gemini powers inherently, to transform and deal with the Plutonic action, or dispel it with mercurial wit. The aspects shape your planet and the house conditions it -- but the sign is it's essence, and shows how you can deal with it.

ETA: Basically, you don't have to call it a Scorp moon to have legit emotions. Yes, you're a Gemini moon. And yes, you're entitled to your feelings!

It is a tendency, to glamorize all things Scorpio. But the reality of it is far from the "sexy bad boy/gal" thing people imagine it to be. It's no picnic, which is what people realize when they have Pluto in synastry. Sure, it feels great at first - the rush. But 99% don't want to deal with the rest of what comes with it. Saying one "likes" that energy (whatever that means), and actually being able to handle it, are two very different things.

Not just romantic relationships. Friends and family too.

Anyway, I've moved to a place where my whole Asc-Dsc axis flipped. So, my 8th stellium is in my 2nd! With an extra planet to boot. I'm hoping this will make me more easy-going and focused on the real & tangible.
