Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that we do have an Interpersonal Astrology forum here on this site. More and more I'm noticing relationship oriented threads showing up in the general astrology forum, Astrology 2.0. If the thread has any relation to love, relationships, romance, compatibility, family connections, or friendship, please post in the Interpersonal Astrology forum. Even if the thread is just about relationship preferences, it's a good fit for the Interpersonal Astrology forum.

Yeah, there's a good community there already, but I'd like to spice it up with more variety of threads. Thanks!

I agree Lotis White, people should post those questions in the appropriate section.

True story.

Sometimes a mod will respond, but it's pretty pointless to post in there.

Yeah, while it's one of my fav forums, I rarely ever post there. I felt like an idiot bumping my own thread more than once, on more than one occasion...

We need to promote it more

Agreed. The more people come the more will post responses. Right now there seems to be a core group of about 15 posters who do a lot of posting there, and I think it would be great to expand on that. Other people post of course, but that can be kind of random. The bigger the better.

I also wondered if the mods from the interpersonal forum could be allowed to relocate threads from Astrology 2.0. (if they are relationship oriented) That way people would need to go to the interpersonal forum for any relationship stuff. People follow the action. Eventually the new way of doings would catch on.

Hey, you are already a bunch of people complaining about the same thing. Why not answering each other?

I sometimes get the feeling as if people in interpersonal astrology expect a few "experts" to give them all the answers or full readings, but in my opinion that is not how it works. We are all students of astrology at different stages of the learning process obviously.

Learning is most successful in trying to apply one`s own thoughts and knowledge to a chart and then get into an exchange of thoughts.

So if you think there are too little answered posts, respond to other people`s posts, and I am pretty sure they will get into exchange with you.

The problem is most people would like to have more in-depth readings and there aren't many willing to give them.

I don't give a lot of readings because I don't feel qualified.

Often people are asking serious questions, and I feel only a real astrologer is competent to answer.

Faith,

I agree with you. There are sometimes questions being asked that I donīt feel it`s responsible to answer, as they can`t be answered, yet any answer might affect the querent possibly negatively, or be misleading. And I wouldn`t want to do that.

Sometimes I've put a lot of time and thought into a reading and got no thanks, just "Yeah well..." and disagreement.

Thankless job!

However maybe we can promote the idea that if you ask one question, you are obligated to try and answer someone else's question! And if you don't know astrology, at least bump someone else, or do a good deed...or something.

Yes. I know what you mean.

Also I once had been writing on a poetry forum, and they had the rule there that you were only allowed to post some of your own work for review, if you had given feedback on other works, too.

This should be the rule for Interpersonal Astrology.

But you know, I think the people who would obey that rule already believe in give-and-take and would do it without being asked.

And others would just pretend they were heeding the rule and get away with it because it's impossible to track and enforce... unless we make it complicated like:

When asking a question, include the link to the thread where you previously, RECENTLY, answered someone else's question.

The time stamps should match within an hour!

Order at Interpersonal Astrology!!

Oh but then we would have people saying they've already done five readings (including links) and still have not received one in return.

Or the one they got in return was short and bad, whereas they gave a thorough one.

I guess that is not a great idea.

Yes, I know. And I would hate making such rules, it should be a given anyway. On the other hand noone is OBLIGED to write anything. And if a thread does get zero replies, that is some form of resonance as well. It might simply be not of interest to other people, or - and I think that will be more often the case- it should go to Personal Readings anyway.

Also doing a full synastry report does take a lot of time and effort, and frankly I don`t think people have that much time.

For my part I prefer answering very specific questions or discussing astrological methods and learning that way, but you wonīt see me doing a full complete analysis, cause imo this is an impossible feat anyway.

Jeez, you guys...

I only post stuff in there that I would have posted here, before Interpersonal Astrology became a forum!

Also, a disclaimer: Mars is squaring my Sun and Moon (again), so I apologize in advance if I seem more argumentative than I normally am. It's not intentional (but I don't think it's going away anytime soon).

I'm not looking for readings, lol. Just experience, to a degree. Of course I trust some of your opinions more than others, because you guys know more about astrology than I do. But really, anyone's speculation is welcome when I post, generally.

If I were required to respond to someone else's thread just to be able to post a topic in there, I would absolutely never post in there.

I don't have as many questions about synastry as I do general astrology, and I don't have as much knowledge about it (for what knowledge I have).

I do the same thing with Asteroid Astrology. I don't know enough about a lot of the topics, so I really can't offer a reasonable response to most threads.

If there were too many rules of posting etiquette there, I suspect it would be even less active than it is.

I think it's a great idea that we have it, because I also got really exasperated by the number of posts in here about relationships before Randall created the IA forum.

But yeah, I suppose promoting it more somehow? Not sure how it would be best to go about that, but maybe this thread will help.

Also, if people are looking for readings, we have a forum for that, too.

Ps
Ceridwen, thank you for usually being the person who responds to my threads in IA and Asteroid Astrology.

Violets,

You`re welcome.

And I get what you`re saying, and I wouldnīt want too many regulations in the forum myself, would feel suffocating to me (Sag- here I guess ), but I would appreciate it if more members would share their experiences or thoughts. Even if something is not entirely right --- that`s how we ALL can learn, right?

That's a good point. I suppose I'll pop in there more often, as I would like to learn more about synastry aspects.

And, in retrospect, I'm not entirely ignorant when it comes to synastry.

My advice for anyone who is reading this is to jump in and do charts. Ask people how they feel their aspects. Do, do, do and ask, ask, ask and that is how you will learn Astrology.

I spent almost an entire year in PR doing charts and picking brains.

If you know a little more than someone else, help that person.

You will be very blessed and learn a lot, in the process, imo

No, only forum mods can move, close, etc. threads in their respective forums.

If you want something moved to your forum,
just let me or Randall know and we'll move it.
The reason I don't transfer more is because I second guess myself on the newer forums.
Interpersonal Astrology vs Personal Readings vs Soul Unions.

But I know what Asteroid Astrology is
