I got a hold of their birthdays and birth places so I ran up their charts. They have prominent Gemini placements:

Gossip One is a Gem sun and mercury conjunct
Gossip Two is a Cancer sun with Gem mercury
Gossip Three is a Cancer sun and mercury but moon, venus, and mars in gemini

I think that might be the case but I think Gemini is just known for easy, light hearted bantering. Which didnt bother me before. The trouble now is that it is affecting people I know and work with, so I have to step in. I'm a Cap Sun and Mercury, so no time for free chatter. But I don't care if anyone else does it, until it affects the workplace. That should all be pretty normal for Caps. I'm trying to see if Gems have that depth to understand that it's not conducive to a healthy work environment to do this sort of thing. Or if it's just a lost cause for Gems to understand that.

Gemini has a terrible rep of being a terrible sign that can't be trusted and is two faced. The potential for gossip exists many places in the chart. Obviously Mercury plays a huge role, but so can everything else. Two of the people have Cancer suns. Sometimes depth of emotion can become insecurity which can become rumor-spreading and gossiping. The fact that they all have heavy Gemini placement and seem to group together as the office rumor mill probably has more to do with their synastry than with Gemini alone. Three people with that much placed that closely carry the potential for a really intense relationship.

Honestly I would need to see more placements to understand the astrology of their gossiping better. It may be Gemini in this case, but that really only explains why they get along so well and why they love to talk about the people around them so much. Chatter alone is not evil or mean-spirited, so I'd imagine there are other things that may affect the darker side of things.

@kimberly, their gossip is very mean spirited with the intent to do harm and to tarnish the professional reputation of the other women. I hate that I have to gender these people, because it plays into those stereotypes that I dislike and don't believe focuses on the individual person. I am a Cap sun and Mercury, yeah I don't put up with BS or impracticality. But I do believe people I work with are happier and more successful when they have time to just have fun and chatter and not take things so seriously. So I'm not against that at all. I am against gossip and rumors that harm people's reputation and esteem just because some older, washed out folks feel threatened and insecure and just lack any depth to understand that.

Edit: the fact that I have to take time out of my day to deal with this makes my Cap sun, Mercury and Mars fired up because it takes away from my work that I wanted to finish early, so I could end my week early, so I can start my weekend early, to spend time with my family.

Your concerns are well founded and I agree with the order you put the supervisors in.

The Gemini gossips, feeds the Cancers info and makes them feel insecure.

Then the Cancers feel insecure about there job.

I doubt the girls are any real threat to the Gem. He might feel a little concerned but he can quickly come up with something to deal with it and feel confident it might just work.

Gems always know how to get out of situations or have a contingency and know how to "run" when needed.

My question is is the Gem bored with his job?
He might be good at what he does but is he getting stagnant? Might be time for some change?

You can expect unusual behavior when a gem is caged to long.

If its that it problem solved..but if its out of spite then that's a different strategy.

I would like to assume its just a bored Gem acting out of character.

Off topic my sister is a Capricorn and your handling it the way she would, lol.

It does make sense and it doesn't. I suppose that is somewhat double-sided like Gems can be. I hope that their intentions aren't malicious, but I am going to stick with what I have seen and know now that they are. I guess there's sort of the shadow side to every sign though so I'm not grouping all Gems--or even Cancers for that matter. They all have been put on alert though and let's just say their facial expressions were all quite priceless.

Moon in Aries.

Two-faced is a little harsh, but she is super fickle.

I'm a Scorpio Sun, mercury, venus with mars in Sagittarius.

Moon in libra square Uranus and Neptune, trine Saturn.

My mother is a peace maker by any means necessary. She'll avoid the truth of a matter at all costs if it means saving the peace. It's annoying and hurtful a lot of the time, but I'm learning how to just accept it as part of who she is.

I love her regardless, but I do understand where you guys are coming from. Definitely.

I only really have been close to 2 geminis in my life, they were my close friends and both broke off due to them being controlling and mean/harsh, but one gemini has a scorpio rising, aries moon, and the other had virgo rising, scorpio moon and sun conj Jupiter. so maybe that's why..

the second gemini with scorpio moon and her sun conj Jupiter I knew better and was more recent. she was EXTREMELY two faced and changeable, and was super negative which kind of surprises me because of her Jupiter conj? but Jupiter is in gemini.. anyways, she constantly had something bad to say about majority of people she brought up, only to later say she liked them and when she saw people in person she never actually acted like she didn't like them. so it was confusing, and very obvious of how insecure she was. it was very interesting to me that she would spin these mental webs and not be able to tell the difference between her own perception.. and what was actually real. she eventually got so paranoid she started making things up and believing them, then taking it out on me. which.. my strong mars and pluto does not take and immediately chewed her crazy ass out and cut her out for good.
honestly, I felt like she blabbed so much she didn't really remember what she said a lot of the time or even listened, which ive noticed is a very common trait amongst that axis.. particularly sag/Jupiter.

We have offered some of them opportunities to travel for work, which is what I do often myself, but they haven't been interested. I'm not sure why or if that can point to their charts. I don't think that I've given them enough credit. They're actually great at what they do, but they aren't into mentoring others or moving depts. These have all been suggested in order to get them out of their offices and out of their boredom.

Anyway, by lunchtime I was questioning why I had agreed to be trained by her. She spent half of her time rushing around like a maniac and the other half gossiping about her coworkers. A couple of months later, she zeroed in on me as her new target. I left that job shortly after.

Not the same thing at all, but. I know how vicious office gossip can be, even the typically harmless kind that most people don't think about. It adds up over time, and when you're the newbie, it's easy to feel hopeless, depressed, etc. It's easy to quit.

My advice would be to separate them. Maybe see if the Gemini (or Cancers) want to work on a special project or task. All else fails, can they be moved to different shifts or days? I'm not sure what else could be done. My manager at the time called a staff meeting and told everyone to be nice to the new employees, but that really just made it worse. I wouldn't advise doing that.
