What happened to you when Saturn transited your fifth house?

Mine just moved there...and given I have been single over 8 years...I'm wondering if this is going to extend my single hood??

Wow 8 years, well in your case it will end your singlehood I would think. Like saturn will reward you in that regard for taking your time, you get me?. Maybe now you feel ready for something serious and that is what this transit will be about for you.

Saturn conjuncted my 5th house ruler Neptune in the 2nd house basically this whole year and it transformed me, I have outgrown a lot of romantic ideals. I am more grounded in this area of my life now. I have realistic expectations and needs now which makes me more content with what I have instead of chasing after unicorns LOL, I like this change a lot. I also take my commitments more seriously, my ethics around relationship are stronger now, my values have changed. I dont care for fantasies or the grass been greener on the other side, I want to water the grass underneath my feet.

Basically I have Sun opposite Moon forming a tsquare with Neptune and Saturn was on my Neptune basically the whole year aspecting my sun or moon. I guess it makes sense that I feel it led to real transformation since it hit such an important tsquare in my chart.

Added:

Issues you will face during this time include how “deserving” you are of special attention from others. Initially, you may feel unloved, and perhaps somewhat neglected or ignored. As you learn the lessons of this transit, you should learn to love yourself and take pride in yourself. Looking outside of yourself for “ego strokes” (whether through romance or other such “applause”) may prove to be fruitless. You will learn through the course of this transit to depend on yourself and to take pride in yourself for what you really are, not only how others see you.

Saturn was transiting my 5th house ten years ago. I met my first boyfriend, lost my virginity and had an intense social life. My relationship didn't last long, maybe 8 months, because I basically obsessed over that poor boy (i have natal venus conjunct pluto in scorpio, lol). He broke up with me and it was a misery (transit saturn and neptune square natal venus) but it was my fault. I was so devastated, I only got the courage to date again 7 years later, but I had a really good time.

>>What transit would cause 8 yrs of not really finding anyone? I also have Pluto transiting my 5th house..maybe that? I do finally feel a lot more ready for a relationship than before..but more like a boyfriend that turns into something serious...not craving a fast marriage or anything.

saturn in sagittarius has been in my fifth for some time

it will leave my fifth once saturn hits early capricorn degrees

for the past year or so I have had no relationship

that was good for me and my own decision to focus on work,

romance opportunities still come up,
there has been at least 3 I can remember since the time saturn entered my fifth,
but like I said, I was not in a mood for a fun romance at all; actually I believe saturn in my fifth made me grow out of the desire for childish and not serious romances and flings,
the next person I meet, I want him to be the person I'll be for a couple of years and eventually marry

the strongest effect of saturn in my fifth for me has been my relationship with children, I have always loved them and I still do, but once saturn went into my fifth, I started noticing how messy and loud kids are,
I watched people with little children at the supermarkets or on the streets, where the child was super aggressive and disrespecting them, and I watched the miserable look on the parents' faces,

with more focus on my creative job, I also noticed how expensive and time consuming having a child is,

currently I've decided I will adopt
but if there comes a time when I am absolutely sure that my child will be a very good human being who is useful for the society, I may have one

Been single all my life, I'm 30 now, had my saturn return this year in my 4th. Starting to loose it bit for bit...

It will reach my 5th house cusp 2019. My 5th house is Capricorn, but the stupid 5th house cusp begins at 20 degrees or so.

There is no problems in my appearnce nor my personality or intelligence thankfully. With a 8th house stellium in Aries with Venus there etc I attract males easily. Will be interesting having saturn in my 5th, can't wait yay! (Note that the yay is a sarcastic one :/ )

Virgo rising can expect Saturn entering their natal 5th house in Capricorn.
The last several years were not particularly easy for Virgo rising when it comes to love area. First Uranus was transiting their 7th house in Pisces. As soon as it left the house, Chiron entered it in 2011 soon followed by Neptune… All these planets were making stressful aspects while transiting my 7th house, and my relationships have been very rocky, difficult and painful. Chiron will leave Pisces next year, Neptune is gonna stay until 2024… So Saturn in 5th house should be a good news actually, especially that it will be supporting Virgos by trine! And at some point Saturn in 5th and Neptune in 7th house will form a sextile, which might give interesting outcomes when it comes to relationship.

I met someone which is what you would call a good, serious guy that was interested in me (and I was interested in him too) It was kind of intense but we couldn't really be together because of many problems (from my side). When T. Saturn moved to my 6th H. Our communication basically ended and he found another girl. I was very sad. It is like Saturn tricked me making me believe that it was going to be a stable long lasting relationship or so but nah. At that time there was noyhing fun in my life.. I was kind of lifeless for many reasons (my dad and best friend had passed away too at that period) so I was pretty much lifeless and fun was eliminated completely from my life. Transits of Saturn are very difficult for me including trines and sextiles! They always bring something bad.. when they bding something good it is only for me to suffer in the end by losing it for no apparent reason.

I am not a pro by any means but I see some things in your chart that explain your situation at least in my humble opinion.

I'll start by the most obvious one which is Aqua in 7th H cusp, it means your DSC is ruled by Uranus. It is exactly a position for what you would consider a loner because the person would need to much freedom in the relationship or would want a "strange" one compared to what is considered normal.. The person tends to be bored quickly, needs constant stimulation and indepedence. Sudden enthusiasm that dies as quickly as it started is common, Uranus is the worst indicator for stability. Intelligent people with authentic personalities are sure appreciated by you.
Maybe you are attracted to "weird" indepedent types or you like long distanced relationships or you meet men/women via internet or you attract foreigners/people born in other countries. Another posibility which I do not read often is when it cones to Uranus but I read it often when Neptune is involved.. is to attract men/women who are in a commited relationship with another person. That way Uranus has much freedom and doesn't feel opressed.

Your natal Uranus forms a close conjunction to your Sun which gives you an authentic personality yourself and intensifies your needs for indepedence especially personality wise meaning you really need someone who would freely let you be you. Although there is no person that would gladly think "yes I would like someone who wants to change me and does not let me express my personality" the majority of people tend to be less authentic and more easily influenced than they will ever realise/admit, something that people with Uranus-Sun aspect can definately see.

Your natal Uranus forms a square to your natal Mars which I wouldn't consider it a major aspect given its loose orbs but in the meantime your progressed Mars has been for quite a while (I do not really know since when because I do not know your bith details) in a close square with your Natal Uranus! This is definately something I would take into consideration!

Aqua in 7th H cusp / Uranus in a difficult aspect with the DSC/Moon/Venus is not the only sign/aspect that is considered problematic when it comes to relationships.
Pisces in 7th H/Neptune in difficult aspect with DSC is considered an unlucky placement too. Although your DSC consumes a big part of the Pisces sign I wouldn't consider it a problem in your case as long as the 7th H cusp is concerned. When it comes to your natal 8th H cusp though it definately does not help because 8th H is the continuation of the 7th H. It is considered a "deep" house as it rules many important things such as our deepest fears, the things we share with the ones we are in a close relationship with, including our soul, our body and how we connect through sex which has the deepest possible meaning in this house (unlike the 5th H which rules casual/playful sex) and also our financial resources inlcluding money, properties etc. Pisces here would make you confused and dissapointed after a while in the areas mentioned above. 8th H shows how much we gain from others including our partners, how our partner handles money and his/her financial status. Pisces in here show a partner who is confused as far as handling/making/spending money goes.
Please search about this placement if you haven't alrrady done so because I do not have this placement nor I know people who have one, I am sure you will find out more.

Capricorn/Saturn is another difficult sign/planet to have near your DSC. Those people need someone mature either age (older ones) or personality wise (capricorn planets or saturn aspects) and stable to be in a relationship with. They take relationships seriously so they do not enter them with a light heart, which is a reason enough by itself to not enter one at all.
Because of how seriously they take the relationships/marriages it feels like a huge responsibility = burden. It is accurate though because if you exclude romantism and/or enthusiasm and/or passion which do not really last for a long time (thus why people cheat/break up) relationships are indeed a burden since you have to constantly work hard to maintain one and even if you do there is no guaranty that it will suceed.. mainly because it is not up to just one person but 2 (sometimes even more than 2 :P) In the end relationships are more difficult than any job and may even feel less rewarding compared to a job too. Relationships later in life or not at all are quite common with Saturn in here.
I didn't mention it but I am telling you this because you natal Saturn is in conjunction with your natal ASC so it automatically makes an opposition to your DSC.

I have in some form all the aspects mentioned above except the Pisces 8th H cusp (my 8th H is worse) and although i have a strong Mercury it took me quite a few years to realise that I was the one running away from reltionships, the only reason I didn't have one is because I didn't really wanted it. I am afraid that your lovely Mercury in Scorpio which is not only in a fixed sign but it also forms a square to Saturn will take you way too much more to realise some things about yourself and change your beliefs accordingly. All these are happening very close to your 1st/7th and 4th/10th houses which are considered the most important ones in our natal charts. It is already difficult for a fixed sign to change but when it is slowed down by Saturn it is x10 harder.

Saturn and Uranus are opposite in my opinion,
The one indicates stable, long lasting, burdensome relationships and traditional ones while the other indicates unstable, exciting and non traditional ones.
In my case it works this way: as long as my natal Uranus and Neptune in 7th H (which work really good together in my opinion just not in that house) are satisfied then the relationship lasts, I will never end it (Saturn rules my 7th h and it is placed in my 8th H). In order for my Uranus and Neptune to be happy I need a platonic and long distance relationship.. that way it can last forever for me and I will never get bored or feel pressured. Once the person I like starts wanting something more "real" and a closer type of relationship I destroy whatever we had and run away.

The thing is that if you don't find a positive way to release the energy of the outer planets they will do it their way and it will not be good. So in case of a 7th H Neptune instead of choosing the drug addict which gets in and out of prison/hospital choose to fall for for a romantic artist instead. Unfotunately you can not get rid of the energy or neglate it somehow. It will manifest in some way so when you understand it (astrology is a great tool for that) try to make it as positive as possible.

Libra is the sign that represents relationships but Moon in Libra is not considered a favorable position for Moon at all. Although that alone is not enough to prevent you from relationship by any means.

The last thing I will mention is the hard aspects between Venus-Mars and Chiron. Venus has to do with love and Mars with sex Chiron brings pain to whatever it touches. I've read somewhere (I think in this forum) that even positive aspects of Chiron do not bring anything really good.

Although I mentioned quite a few negative aspects/placements you natal chart has, the really problematic ones which are kind of enough to bring problems by themsrlves are the Aqua 7th H cusp and the Saturn opposite the 7th H cusp.
Chiron is very painful but it does not prevent something from happening in my humble opinion.

Unfortunately I can not amd I also fon't want to tell you if and when a relationship might happen because I am not good at that and I do not want to make you have false expectations and then be dissapointed.

I know I didn't answer your question I hope I could be helpful a tiny bit.

*** Sorry for my English it is not my mother language.

The thing is that my ex has Sun conjunct Uranus and venus in libra and he is a scorpio tooo and he is always in a relationship, hates been alone.

So I dont understand what about her chart is causing her to be single except maybe jupiter ruling her 5th which attracts maybe freedom loving guys leading to her staying single. Jupiter is the kind of man we attract.

I wonder about her Juno! What sign is your Juno in and what aspects is your Juno making?

I have Saturn in the 5th natal.

I see relationships as SERIOUS business. Commitment only. I have no desire to be in any romantic relationship that is not possibly "the one". In my maturity I was single while raising my child. In my youth I deluded myself into thinking this guy or that was "the one" so I could have relationships AND sex. Meant to be, I suppose. My learning and karma.

Maybe you will begin to think more seriously about relationships and children, or if you already have children you will have increased responsibility due to your or someone else's children? Just my guesses.

I currently have Saturn transiting my 5th House. It started earlier in the year so it's pretty recent.

Aside healing and reflecting from my Saturn in the 4th House transit shite-storm. Saturn in the 5th is allowing me to be more focused on my goals, job, and future.

At times I do feel loneliness, but it's a different kind of loneliness (at least for me). I like being on my own and find being on my own but like you I've also thought about relationships and having a boo-thing.

BUT not just anything something serious and committed. Keep in mind, I also have Pluto transiting my 5th House.

I don' know exactly what you want in a relationship. I would say project the person or relationship you want by being the thing you want. Use this time to work on you.

Thanks for that analysis Plutonion, so on point and thorough, and your English is beautiful!...I'm still a bit confused about the Pisces part...I DO love the artistic type, but it would annoy the hell out of me if he was not good with money, My Moon in H2 would go bizerk.

Hypatia, here's my Juno Chart and aspects:

I have a friend that has Juno conjunct Neptune and she has had two boyfriends and she is in her mid 30s so she is usually single and like you has moon in Libra.

Her first boyfriend ended up in Jail when she was in high school I believe and her second boyfriend has PTSD and ended up becoming addicted to Crystal Meth, he refused help and she had to end it, it got out of hand.

She also has a tendency to become interested in unavailable men. I think this is neptune in the works since it conjuncts her Juno.

She herself has issues with alcohol and binge drinking, loneliness is a trigger for her, moon in libra needs a lot of social support and socializing.

Neptune natural ruler of the 12th house (e.g. jail, mental health issues, substance abuse issues, men who are unavailable etc).

8 years is easy, i'm single for 15 years now. Plus you are girl and i'm a man, being single as am man for so long is harder as drive is strong on man but anxiety can come on woman through their child desire and age limit of giving birth.

i have also pluto transiting the 5th but i didn't noticed anything that tells my love life is improving lol...i will say the opposite, especially with saturn coming into my 5th house joining pluto that loneliness is intensifying and the love to be lonely, i think it's like elevating love like a non-flesh love, epurating love that is occuring right now, sublimation forces are at the top right now, and libido is like coming back from people to you to transform it in another material, maybe some creative forces channeled : best example for me, it will be someone who start to learn piano with this transit etc...old greek language connected to antique philosophy and all self-improving technical way of well being like "technê tou biou" etc...old language seem more like dead languages so pluto transiting sagittarius will fit more this description but when it elevates the soul it describes well all the sagittarius to capricorn process, knowledge elevate the mind.

Any updates on how it went?

Saturn will be transiting my 5th house in Aquarius soon.
my 4/5th houses are cusp in cap and Aqua...

the 4th house was a ********* for me, I was a caregiver for 4 years and these where the toughest times ever. I wished for a social life and love. but seemed impossible...

hoping on a better future

Hi Larakstar,

STILL single! Right now I have Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars transiting in my H5...you'd think I would have met someone by now, but I haven't.

Now admittedly, I have been heads down and working like crazy these past 3 years, and have been a bit if a hermit (and interestingly keep getting the Hermit Tarot Card when I do readings for myself)...but it's not like I am in isolation.

I didn't meet anyone at work, during all the events I had to go to for work which would be at bars and dinners...or even during travels. Perhaps I'm not good at being at the right places to meet people?

I'm attractive, smart, a good person...so I don't get it. I also admit I don't do dating apps and keep hoping to meet someone in IRL (in real life)...

I'm hoping when Saturn goes into Aquarius on 3/21 and into my H6, that perhaps my trJupiter can sparkle for a change. Also, this July my progressed Sun will reach 29 degrees in Sag..I have read you will start to transition to a new phase in life.

Perhaps I meet my person? I hope with trJupiter in H5 and progressed Sun at an anoretic point, this could be my year.

So, there's my update...Single since 2009, so 11 years now! No changes in my love life...
