So I've been ghosted by a close friend and I'm absolutely devastated.I just don't get it. It *could* be accidental but it hurts crazy bad whatever the story behind it. I was already missing him before he went incommunicado, now it's been multiplied by a thousand. Anyway, it got me thinking. Which sign placements are most likely to ghost you, and why. And is ghosting about *them* or about *you*?

I'll start. My 'ghost' is a Scorpio, and the new moon was loosely conjunct his sun-mercury-saturn stellium; opposite my sun, square my moon. Ghosting feels very Scorpio - 'I'm so overwhelmed/over this that I'm withdrawing and you don't deserve any explanation or insight into my emotional world'. Or maybe it's a Pluto thing... Any sign can ghost I think, they'll just do it for different reasons, some to hurt, others to avoid inconvenience...
I think ghosting is impossibly rude and very violent, I only do so in last resort or if I feel endangered.IP: Logged |

Oof a venus-uranus conjunction in Scorpio is a tough hand of cards to play against. Would definitely see that as a ghosting flag. The shock must be so much harder to move on from. IP: Logged |

I agree that it's a really extreme and hurtful way to end something - particularly a big something. Was ghosted a while back after a tinder date - he asked me for a second date and was chatting away, then suddenly never replied. It was just baffling and I didn't understand why he didn't just say 'you know what, I've changed my mind'. But that was a first date and I wasn't that fussed. I just don't get why you wouldn't just say 'I'm out' even without explanation (still rude but at least you're not wondering if they got hit by a bus). IP: Logged |

It's not like a one strike you're out but if patterns form of annoyance, lying, betrayal, neediness, clingy, guilt tripping, misunderstandings. Anything that feels stressful in the big picture. Gone. This is fascinating. How deep do the connections you ghost run? There's a difference between, say, stopping replies on tinder and suddenly cutting all contact with no warning after a prolonged and deep relationship. The tendency to ghost might in some cases be a reaction to feeling vulnerable in some way... Like a hedgehog protecting the vulnerable underbelly by curling into a ball of spines. In that sort of case I'd expect maybe a Moon-Pluto connection or something? Another reason might be that the individual feels like they have changed from the person they were when they became friends. Most friendships are built on having a lot in common, so if one party starts feeling like they just don't anymore then ghosting could occur. I think that's most common in adolescence though, when people grow and change quickly... but people aren't static at any age. For this I guess any aspects that indicate an individual that goes through transformations, or sudden changes... Uranus aspects? Sun/Pluto, or Asc/Pluto? Maybe also Saturn returns and other heavy transits. Or it could just be that the person in question is very individualistic and mobile, with a tendency to up an leave everything and go do something else. Maybe lots of Sagittarius energy, or it could be Uranus here too I guess... IP: Logged |

She didn´t technically ghost me, but she very suddenly and extremely did a 180 on me, going from ¨ I want you in my life on all levels without label¨ and I´m so grateful for you in my life, to I want nothing to do with you, bye bye. The latter came after I finally expressed some unhappiness with her inconsistent and inconsiderate communication style/pattern and wrote her, ¨There is a part of self that thinks the best thing for ME would be to just try to forget/detach from you completely (because this connection is at times painful and bittersweet for me) and yet I know on a deeper level that we met and are in each´s lives for a deeper reason/purpose.¨ It was ALWAYS about her and her feelings, needs, wants, etc. Strongest planet Uranus, Aries Sun cusping Taurus, Virgo Rising ruling planet Mercury in Taurus conjunct South Node, late Scorpio Moon closely conjunct early Sag Pluto, and 7th House Pisces Venus Saturn conjunction. (VERY in her head, and very disconnected from her heart). Uranians being towards the extremist and often slightly bi polar like in their basic personalities, are probably prone to ghosting more than most, followed by Plutonians and/or Scorpio types. And Mercurians can be cold, cold, cold unless they have strong Venus, Sun, Jupiter, and/or Neptune to offset it. I won´t go into Saturnians, but from what I have written previously about a certain subset of Saturnians, they can be even much colder and heartless than Mercurians and with a mean streak to boot. I was going to chime in and say this. My moon is conjunct Pluto and I have a stellium in scorpio. It's not so much as ghosting per se but, I've cut people out and literally never spoken to them again. Really really close friends and exes. Just poof, gone out of my life like they never existed. i've ghosted one friend and several lovers when:
the relationship was extremely toxic and i actually DID tell them i didn't want to continue it but they didn't listen and didn't accept my decision.the relationship was extremely toxic and over time i slowly distanced myself as a natural reaction to realizing their toxicity, and choosing to love myself more. they didn't ever seem to notice how much harm they caused and considered it 'out of the blue,' and they still have zero self reflection and think everyone they've ever been close to just ditched them for no reason :/
i've been ghosted when:
-i was the toxic and/or needy one and didn't realize it until later
-the other person can't be real and communicate to save their lives
but now i have zero toxic relationships so... not bitter about any of it

I got 75% ghosted by a Scorpio Moon, 75 cuz I barged myself in anyway even after she ghosted me, I think things would have worked out after it if I had let her just ghost me, and then after enuf throwing her toys outta the pram she'd prolly have come back, but by barging in(u don't ghost me yo!), I prolly "ruined" my chances.I don't really ghost much, but there have been few instances where I've just dropped people from their pedestal, and never thought of putting them back there againn... It was hectic painful  I even went as far as to research this "ghosting" business online. Turns out that air signs are the most likely to "ghost"- acoording to message boards. There is something about them"needing a perspective". This especially Lib and Aqua.Curiously not so much Gem He came back though and profusely apologized. Apparently he fell out of friendship with another ex of mine (Taurus) and the ex was peeved with him for dating me. I didn't even think that I still featured in the said ex's thoughts at all. Lesson: when dating an air sign, sustain the detached approach. I took it hard that he ghosted me-despite the apology. But honestly speaking, I still was into him (which made it hurt more). Yet the forgiveness wouldn't come at all(Venus in Scorpio)

I was ghosted (rather severely) by a Scorpio once. We had a pretty awesome connection mentally, emotionally and bonded quickly. He went from daily communications to none for about six months, and then suddenly texted me out of the blue. It crushed me for a while.Now that I'm older, I see ghosting for what it really is: playing games. If you really like someone, you don't try to manipulate/control the interactions with games like that. I have zero patience for it and the moment I catch a whiff of it, I'm gone. So I guess I've learned to ghost them before they're gonna ghost me.  IP: Logged |

Im not sure.. Aqua, Scorpio. or Pisces?I think Ive kind of ghosted my friends before. But it was for a reason. One of my friends I ghosted because whenever I was around her and her other friends I felt like a burden, so I would stop meeting up with her and her friends during lunch. She never texted me or anything so I felt a little unwanted, so I stopped talking to her, and she never communicated with me. Another one of my friends was rude to me, and I was tired of it. She would always say little things to me like I wasn't smart or something. She wouldn't wait for me during lunch, so I stopped talking to her, and she knew I was upset at her. I just didn't tell her anything. After school ended I don't stay in touch with them. But recently my late best friend ghosted ME and I don't know why. Taurus did that to me, and then popped up a few months later. Other than that, if someone is gone, they usually either gave a reason, or I did. One guy, when I was 22/23, gave the dumbest reason as to why we couldn't talk anymore, I would rather have known the truth. I was upset at the time, but I can never remember his name. My mother remembered it, but I need a few things to trigger my memory - and that way, I can remember his name was Ross, and he was an Aries. Wow, I'd totally forgotten that. I think I knew his chart at one point, my sister had shown me astro.com at the time, and I was starting to learn about astrology. I think he was another Earth moon, but I'm not sure.IP: Logged |

I see ghosting as a very Scorpio behaviour. Seen three in action so far. Two have Scorpio Sun; One has Scorpio ASC. IP: Logged |

I think ghosting is absolutely relevant to any relationship, not just romantic.The ghost in my case is - or maybe was, idk - a close friend in many ways. We were in frequent daily contact 5 days out of every 7, then suddenly he went quiet. I emailed him at work to say happy birthday and he got in touch the next day to say thanks for the birthday message... And that was it. Gone again. I just want to know what's going on. Transiting Uranus will be opposite his sun/Merc/Saturn soon so it may be an early touchpoint of that. IP: Logged |

Yup. It's only the Aquarians in my experience; Librans cling to me and Geminis regularly check in with me. The Aquarians I know are the emotionally clingy ones, not others around them lol.
