And vice versa, if you are someone who reads a lot (talking about books here), what are your placements/elements?What interests me also is whether there's an avid reader here who actually has no air or very little of it in their chart. I'll start with example of myself. Love reading books. Lots of air in natal chart. Moon and Venus in Acquarius. Sun and Mercury in 3rd house. My brother on the other hand does not read. So even though he has a bunch of personal planets in his 11th house, he has nothing in air. IP: Logged |

I've probably spent somewhere between a fourth and a third of my life reading. And I work as a librarian. Libra Ascendant and Gemini Sun are my only air sign placements. I also have an outer planet stellium in the 3rd.My mother is also an avid reader, though perhaps not quite as voracious as me. She has Jupiter in Gemini, Mars in Libra and MC in Aquarius. Sun and Mercury in the 3rd for her too, but tightly conjunct IC. My brother is not a reader. Moon in Libra is his only air placement. He also has Venus in 7th, Pluto in 11th. My father doesn't read either, even though he has Jupiter in Libra and Mars and Venus in Aquarius. I don't have his precise birth time so can't tell you much about his houses. IP: Logged |

Packed 3H Libra stellium: sun, mercury, Venus, Saturn, Pluto, and sextile to my 5H Sag stellium.I've been using the library since I was 5 when I mysteriously learned to read. (I honestly can't recall how I got it, I remember following the finger of a kindergarten teacher as she read out loud to us but one day I was able to open a book and understood it all.) I still do, finding it relaxing, and like to read magazines there as well as books, fiction and nonfiction. I was once a library volunteer and gave serious consideration (down to planning how I'd get a MLS, Mastery of Library Science, on my budget) on becoming a reference librarian. I mainly didn't because I don't like library boards and wouldn't want to be subject to their whims. IP: Logged |

It's in the 9th house. Conjunct Midheaven, but out of sign (Moon at 25 degrees Libra, MC at 1 degree Scorpio). IP: Logged |

I have 3rd house Cancer. I wish it was in Gemini, like Tesla's. I also know a Virgo 3rd house. These people are always learning and expanding. Mine is so rigid.. Too nostalgic. I mean its good for memory, but thats about it. IP: Logged |

No air planets other than Saturn in Aqua for me. Also lack of earth other than Uranus and Neptune in Cap that are generational planets. I always disliked books and magazines. I've only read a few (5-6) thriller/mystery books when I was a teen since I didn't have internet or the abillity to watch movies.. It doesn't matter how much I like the story, just because it's a book it's boring to me, I dislike even holding a book and flipping the pages, just looking at a book I feel bored and limited. I remember I liked a book very much, I mean the story, but I couldn't finish it for that reason. On the other hand I love reading online, any book I want I download it, anything I wanna search I can google it. Everything is more practical, fun and quick online imo. (Uranus opposition ASC and Sun). Also when it comes to astrology, technology and another subject I'm interested in I can read it for hours straight but in other cases I'm easily bored. Even though air signs are the intellectual ones I have observed that they generally get bored quickly, if even they are interested in books. The ones who really enjoy it and have the patience to read the whole book are earth signs, specifically Taurus and Capricorn. Paper comes from wood which is earthy so it may be why these signs tend to love books more than others at least in my experepience.

I have mars/venus in Libra and moon in Gemini, so 3 Air planets. And I do like books, but the only thing with me is I tend to read quickly, I like to get to the ending as quickly as possible and find I will skim words, and unless its a really engrossing book, I usually don't finish reading it.Notebooks to write in, i have lots of these, they have to be nice ones though, hardbacks, and pretty. I have about 30 notebooks so far, each one for something different. IP: Logged |

Salaya,Such a Gemini you are! when it comes to reading I guess. I can relate with my packed 3rd house. Must be a Gemini thing, read a lot, all at the same time, lose interest quickly, always need a new stimulus, lists, notebooks etc IP: Logged |

Great topic! (edited) condensed version. I am more a research type reader. 9th house Virgo. A lot of Air in my chart. Sun, Moon, Venus Aqua. Mars is in fire, Mercury in Earth, Jupiter is watery. not a huge reader for leisure my desc is gem - hubby is the one who reads a lot. his notes+aspects
His h3 is is Aqua, like, Plut0nian2 his Saturn is ♒ often he gets lost in books and reads very fast too, reads periodicals and sports reports as well. His Midheaven is sextile exact with his Biblialexa. IP: Logged |

I have no air in my chart. Unless you want to count Chiron in Gemini. Also, all my air houses are empty, again, except Chiron which is in the 11th. However, I do have 3rd house in Virgo which is ruled by my Pisces Retro Mercury in the 9H.I love reading. When I was a little girl, my books were my most prized possessions. I took amazing care of them and treasured every story like it was a piece of gold. Now, as an adult, I still love books and read at least 1 new book a week. Walking into a bookstore, for me, is like a Taurus walking into a bakery that has fluffy, silky pillows and mood-lighting to enjoy their delicious pastries by. (I have a Taurus Moon ) I think all my Sag (Sagittarius are usually wonderful story tellers) influence (Mars, Saturn, Uranus in Sag and Sun, Merc, Venus in 9H) combined with that Retro Merc is why I love books. I just want to know things and my Pisces Merc Rx is much more receptive with written word than spoken. Reading something plants it forever in my memory, while only hearing it... chances are I wasn't paying attention lol All that having been said.. I have no visible air in my chart, but over 50% of my planetary midpoints are in air signs. I wonder if that influences it at all? IP: Logged |

From my experience, those with heavy Virgo placements are usually bookish types. Air signs like Gemini can be as well, but even with a lack of air, Virgo placements especially in Mercury and Mars are prone to be avid readers. Plus, it's a sign that is co-ruled by Mercury. IP: Logged |

I love reading but don’t do it too often and am air void planet wise. I do have Libra IC, Aqua NN and Gemini psyche. Does this count? I also have Virgo mercury and agree anything mercurial tends to enjoy reading/writing/speaking. I love going to libraries/book stores even if I don’t get a book or read that often.IP: Logged |

Bookstores and libraries are two of my happy places. I love books. Moon/Venus/SN in Gemini, sextile Jupiter, square Mars in Pisces. Jupiter trine Neptune and MC. Mercury trine MC. IP: Logged |
