At http://www.astrofocus.co.uk/The-Huber-Method.html, the Huber Method of Astrological Psychology is described as "a branch of psychology that uses astrology in the same way as depth psychotherapy in order to gain insight on traits that unconsciously influence our natural processes."Does being "a branch of psychology" mean that the Huber Method is not a valid topic for discussion on this (Astrology 2.0) forum board. ... And, if so, on which board would a discussion of it be appropriate? IP: Logged |

I don't see why we couldn't post here. I think it would open up much deeper discussions about how astrology and the psyche are connected. IP: Logged |

Would a discussion of the following ("nature vs nurture") be ok on the Astrology 2.0 board? :- http://joycehopewell.blogspot.com/2014/02/nature-v-nurture-family-model.html http://astrologicalpsychology.org/wp-content/uploads/Family_Model.pdf IP: Logged |

And ... what if http://astrologicalpsychology.org/critical-times-of-life-and-dreamwork/ led to a discussion about interpreting dreams rather than a discussion about the Huber Lifeclock/Age Point Progressions?[Perhaps what is eating away at me here is ... "is modern/psychological astrology about helping people to acquire a technical understanding of an astrological indicator, or about helping the chart owner to better understand how that indicator influences them/their behaviour?"] IP: Logged |

Dreams would go in Astral Realms, but threads used to go off-topic all the time. That was one thing that I used to like about this place. As long as the posts are mostly astrological, it should remain here (but I'm not a moderator).IP: Logged |

Dreams to Astral Realms ... nature/nurture/chidhood-conditioning to Lindaland Central 2.0 ... aspect patterns to Astrology 2.0 But ... Dynamic calculations to ? ... Ego integration to ? ... Holistic Huber interpretation/synthesis to ? My guess is that all of these things can be discussed on Astrology 2.0 if the topic is described as "The Huber School/System of Astrology" ... But, currently, what is (or is not) regarded here as "astrology" can be discovered only by actually posting a topic on this board. ... And a discussion of childhood conditioning is considered to be "not astrology" but would (apparently) be "astrology" if sun/saturn/moon was stated as symbolising father/mother/child. For example ... this thread is not an astrological discussion ... but it nevertheless seems to me to be the correct board upon which to post it. ... However, if I point out that it has been prompted by the current square of the Pluto in Capricorn/4th retrograde transit to my natal Venus in Libra/1st (both at Sabian Symbol 23), it becomes an "astrological discussion" - because the aim is to reconcile my own core values with those expressed by others on the forum. quote: "A ‘free Huber chart’ facility is available on http://www.astro.com]www.astro.com (from front page go to ‘extended chart selection’, and don’t forget to select ‘Koch houses’). This provides free Huber-style natal, house and nodal charts plus chart data and age progression dates, which can be viewed on screen or printed off. The charts are not to the highest standards, and do not have the flexibility of the MegaStar, Regulus and AstroCora, but they should prove adequate for many purposes." ... http://astrologicalpsychology.org/resources/software-for-huber-style-charts/
I shall open another thread, to discuss the astrological psychology purposes for which this free Huber chart facility should prove adequate. IP: Logged |

Chapter 7.3 of Astrological Psychology - The Huber Method describes the Moon Node Chart as a mechanism for "revealing the shadow side of our personality, or as providing a summary of our past/karmic experiences". Thus, it is the chart of the "lower consciousness" in Assagoli's Egg Model ... http://i.pinimg.com/736x/7f/68/5b/7f685b6284a15bcfefbdf4238290f79c.jpg However, since the Moon Node Chart (and its related age progressions) can be obtained from astro.com, let's discuss this further on the follow up thread - which I shall open asap today.
