Agony Aunt page .........I think this has a different name in North America? People drop by with their problems, they get a range of answers from different people. There will be a lot of stuff in there about no-good boyfriends and he is the one for me but he won't accept it and has called a restraining order out on me, that kind of thing. IP: Logged |

Everyones being really silly lately. Is it just me? My head feels like mush after being in LL. I like a bit more seriousness to sillyness ratio. LOLRandall, Thinking of a new forum is very difficult, seriously! We have so much! I know there's something that is in the air that we just have to pluck out. Hmmm Personally and truthfully I would not like to see anything trivial/ blah blah stuff. If you know what i mean. Something really interesting I'd dig. *pondering* IP: Logged |

Okay just some ideas-Something like "The Mirror" for personal growth, I know we have a religious/philosophical forum, but more on philosophy, personal growth. It could be become too similar to divine diversities though. What about Conspiracies? really dig our nuckles into this stuff? Like illuminati, masonic stuff, symbolism in media and music, free ourselves from the Matrix. Hmmm? i know a few knowflakes who would get right into this! *still thinking* IP: Logged |

I like the advanced astrology idea but there needs to be a clear definition of what that is, otherwise muppets like me will stroll in there wanting to know whether Scorpios are compatible with Capricorns, because that's advanced for me innit. It depends on what you call advanced. PA man, you are comedy genius

Spoiler: The following is serious.....Forum Idea: Consequences and Connections - How one small action created a series of events that led to a life-changing situation. Discussions on catching that horrible influenza because your partner ran out of toilet paper and you had to race to the store to buy a roll, and someone sneezed on you in the queue at the counter. Koiflower I think that's awesome for a thread though. Perhaps not a whole forum. IP: Logged |

I'm sick and my head is fuzzy but I was thinking of recommended shopping type of thing where we share good deals and items. Incense and gems, jewelry and food items and where to purchase these items, earth friendly companies etc. People would start threads like "Ben and Jerry's ~ all natural and donates to/supports ?" wherever profits go... either to more eco friendly products or to support children's hospitals... stuff like that. I don't know enough about those things... and I assume everyone knows just a little. A place where we could combine our knowledge about living the way we want to live and maybe spreading the knowledge to people who stop by LL for astro info they googled... it would be something that could stretch out to more of humanity and be a really good pay it fwd, pass it on, type of thing. Anything that helps us get closer to the lifestyles we all want to have but feel like we don't have the time or money or etc. We can help each other by rec'ing products that give back. It could be the LindaLand Lifestyles forum or whatever and people could start threads on companies that make recycled couches and companies that support cancer survivors and products that are all natural and support the Earth. I'm liking this more and more as I type it. I hope everyone likes it too. A place to store our collective knowledge on how to be earth friendly and love friendly consumers. Companies that donate a portion of profits to save the rainforests etc. type threads. IP: Logged |

I, too, think the new forum should have some substance. Personally, I think that the astrology forum has become a bit broad and could benefit from a spinoff that delves into more specialty types of things.Maybe charts involving more than four asteroids could go there... IP: Logged |

another forum could also be a mini LL for older knowflakes. i've seen plenty new faces since the time i joined, and even though renewal is healthy and natural, we could give a place to the older generation of knowflakes !? as for the advanced astrology, wheels of cheese says something right, where do you draw the line between serious stuff and the rest. that is difficult to do, because even if moderator redirected threads which are not substantials, i think we would have to rely on knowflakes' sense of responsability. i.e. for example, you can go to uni to learn literature, or u can just stay at home and read books. none is better. but if you know you want to post about something more like leisure, then you do it here, and if it is something more serious, then you do it there. i guess mods would have to explain this a few times though. My LindaLand Diary- inviting all members at LL to start and to keep an online personal journal on this forum. Like the average diary, you may write about the events that you find notable today, or if your day has been rather uneventful, just like all journals, you may also write about any idea that comes into mind- such as personal reflection, introspection, observation...as long as you feel comfortable to share your thoughts and feelings in your LL online diary, while being aware that it is viewable to all LL members and other Internet surfers- therefore, you will decide what to share in your LL online journal and what not to include. Your fellow LL members may post on your thread(s) in response to your diary entries, and your fellow members and you can discuss and share virtually anything you like, based on mutual respect.D ------------------ Love is life force, hate is death force.
