Nicely said Zala.

katatonic, i forgot to mention, growing up, my mother also said what your dad said all the time - Jesus, Mary and Joseph! and some other curse words, with and without Jesus connected to them.

I'm happy I am comfortable with how I speak. Not "addicted" to certain words.
"ignorant"? "unconscious? I think we all can admit to that?

Glad i'm no longer walking through life on spiritual eggshells and worried if i'm doing everything right and following all the rules. That is not my path. For others it may be.

Interesting reply. A very witty one.

While there are many more of them, who consider themselves to be humble or even self-effacing on the conscious level, in fact unconsciously think they are smart.

Ever pondered on why human beings are so different from animals? Ever wondered why human beings are so complex and almost unfathomable?

Speaking of scientists, science, and being scientific...

The inventor of lobotomy once won a Nobel Prize.

Lobotomy was outlawed not very long after.

Do many human beings subscribe to Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory?

What are demons?

Define demon.

Do you believe in demons?

Was the use of the term demons in the saying a metaphor for something else? Beings of a different kind? What are they, then?

D... I understand you...
I haven't replied to you yet but I'll do sometimes.

Behind every person, there is a wealth of wisdom. Every person is wise. That means don't get offended if some person doesn't appreciate or doubt your wisdom.
i wish you would come down because you discredit your wisdom.

You need to love yourself more. And let other do what they are meant to do when they are aggressive towards you.

I swore intentionally

Yeah, take it easier on yourself D. Not everyone is looking to argue something. It's nice that alot of people here expressed that they understand what you are saying. That must count for something!

I'm generally "awake" approx 18 hours per day. I don't feel that "spiritual decay" will consume me when 5 or 10 seconds of my day is spent uttering an expletive, and 64,000 seconds of my day is spent in assisting others at work, being considerate when I'm out in public (stores, restaurants, driving), raising my son with love and affection, and pettin' on my kitties

I don't use expletives as weapons, pointed at other spirits I cross paths with -- that would definitely hurt me more that it would hurt them. And I don't obliviously curse continuously. Saying "sh!t!!" when I drop something heavy on my foot DOES express a feeling for me and temporarily ease the pain in my foot (which I think is all in my head -- probably the vehemence of the expletive temporarily distracts me from my throbbing foot and incipient purpley bruise), and I think an involuntary expletive may also be an almost unconscious verbal reaction to the shock of sudden pain. I may be annoyed with myself for being clumsy, but accidents do happen to we who must wrestle with the challenges of gravity

I *will* say that swearing out loud, alone in my car, at other drivers on the road who drive inconsiderately and even dangerously, is HELPFUL. If I try to throttle back that emotion and tell myself to practice tolerance and that it isn't worth reacting over, I don't feel well -- the adrenalin has been automatically released into my system by the solely physical fight or flight response to danger and needs an outlet. I feel swear words are a harmless outlet in this example.

I respect and admire your concern about other peoples' spiritual demise or decay, DfD.

**edit PS: If no swearing is allowed when one is shocked by a sudden pain (for fear of spiritual decay) I wonder what the fellas would/should say or do if somebody kicked them in the family jewels??

i love your quote ag.

very ying yang.

totally understand what you are saying dfd, although i don't 100 percent agree!

i love myself, even my imperfections and my occasional flying of the f- bomb.

look around, if we were perfect, we wouldn't be here, as i have yet to see the perfect person yet in all these years.

if you say cheese and rice with vehlemence and the same emotion as the other two words, what is the difference? the emotion is the same.

f - this-

i'm outa here.

BTW- swearing doesn't make Palin more tolerable, i tried it at home.

AG ~

Actually *nicknames* make Palin more tolerable
An article presented in GU called her "Caribou Barbie" -- that made her much more tolerable in my mind than "(ex)Governor Palin"

cpn ~

When you tried it at home did you try ALL known swear words??
Maybe one obscure one, or a combo, would have done the trick

No.

This is not about perfection or purity. No swearing does not make you pure, perfect, or closer to perfection, or even a better person. On the other hand, we all have our flaws, but it doesn't mean we cannot get rid of some of those. Cursing is not a flaw; not one of those flaws anyway. Cursing is something else.

**edit PS: If no swearing is allowed when one is shocked by a sudden pain (for fear of spiritual decay)

I, for one, will never become an activist who urges the government to illegalize swearing; hence swearing is not prohibited; it is not against the law, so you won't break the law by cursing. When I'm with those close to me, I let them swear whenever they wish to.

As for spiritual decay, it should never be feared. It's not supposed to be. It requires vigilance, but not fear. Anything fear-based is negativity. Fear is one of the most debilitating human tendencies.

But there seems to be a lack of concern about mine, to most of you, right?

I'm flattered.

Thanks anyway.

Maybe I "love" myself too much? In that case, how should I ever "love" myself even more? I already "love" myself too much!

Or I don't love myself?

I love myself.

OK.

Since one discredits oneself, and one's "wisdom" has been discredited- then it is not wisdom, is it? It is probably rubbish. As long as human beings feel comfy being themselves. They have every right to ignore such junk, don't they?

Have a nice life. This is it.

Wow. Sick in bed for a couple of days and come back to this.

I like that my maturity level has peaked at about 5 years of age.

I'm over it and the Knowflakes who have emailed me are over it.
