It's not really that people are "moaning and groaning" about things. Something was brought up. It wasnt about people not being able to not click on threads and not read them. It's not about certain people looking to get attention.

It's also not really about people "moaning about how LL used to be" and wanting it to go back to being exactly like that. If this hasnt point hasnt gotten across yet, I dont know what to say to the people that arent getting it.

People here have been "setting examples", "ignoring" and being "disciplined and controlled (with themselves)".

No one is feeling like they are being forced to click on the channels they don't like. It was never about that.

Yes. And it was.

And it's not really about people wanting to come off as "pretentious because they were here longer or since 2000-and-what-eva, or because they have a high post count or age" , Letram.

This is a refuge for some people and when you have been here long enough and see the tides start to change - patterns repeating themselves - and what has happened in the past when similar things have gone on - you try to speak up. Because you care about your home away from home.

Lastly, it's not about anyone being a Moderator or not. We're all members here and all can have their say. Most of us do it respectfully.

It's funny now...earlier I remembered when the Godzala threads started and i'm thinking: What's this all about? I peeked in here and there and still didnt really understand. It was like a meet up thread where people were being goofy - cool! Not too long after, I was up late one night and bored - i saw the threads being bumped up and thought i'd join in too! They seemed to be having fun and I knew PA, or had interacted with her before...i wanted to have a couple laughs with some people who were awake too!

Anyway, I remember going in and posting a picture and got totally ignored. I thought...hm, maybe they didnt think it was funny? So I did it again. They just went about their business like I wasnt there.

It didnt hurt my feelings but I thought it was odd and that I wasnt welcome in the group or they didnt like me. After that, I mostly just stayed out.

Anyway, your comment about being a feminine Sun/Moon and the way you felt is interesting. Maybe because youre a male it was different.

Also then I started to see that it was sex talk and fantasies about celebrities, who i mostly didnt recognize. Though I think they posted about other things here and there. So it wasnt really my cup of tea. I dont watch TV or movies and FOR THE MOST PART am not interested in them.

No, not the passion or drama either. It's about a certain kind of community we have here now and has in a somewhat different way back then. The members here are still great, even the new ones. It doesnt have anything to do with not being able to bond with or not wanting to bond with new people OR about not wanting to embrace change or the community that now is.

Shura mentioned reading SunChild's post in another thread. That might help people out here. I can find it if you would like.

I guess it's understandable that newer members still arent quite grasping what is being said here.

AG, I thought you showed up later on....have you really been here since 05??? Wow!

What I tried to get across in that thread, which people were also not wanting to understand, that it was the writer's commentary that I found to be hilarious (and still do - i still pop in there from time to time) that I found funny. It was also a completely different brand of humor. I mostly am not familiar with the people he writes about. He is a comedian though and I love his style.

The one area we haven't talked about specifically is the idea of spamming. I mean, we sort of touched on it. I can see where a person bumping all of their favorite threads to the top in succession can be annoying. I think that's a legitimate complaint, and with multiple Godzala threads it's almost bound to happen --by accident even-- as members go back to conversations they had in the different threads. In that respect, limiting to one at a time is a good idea.

its just been brought out throughout the topic really, i never took part in the discussion about suggestions. that's why they came out with the rest of what i wrote.

you wrote a load of 'its not about this and that' yet you don't offer anything to say what its about, you don't elaborate at all.

speak for yourself also, what are you implying for yourself, that you are just finding it annoying that there was more topics you don't like circulating on the forum? or they annoy you? why? go back to what i said - ignore them, and just continue with discussing what you enjoy. Everything you have suggested that this forum is for people, a "refuge" or a "home away from home" lol, or what ever, its like, what? how is any Topics, Members, stopping you from using it as a refuge/home? unless members are Disrupting YOUR topics or what ever, i do not see how in anyway it can stop you. or anyone using this place the way you want etc.

what i think it is, is that more members are creating topics you lack interest in, and you can't take it. what are we gonna do about it? if thats not it, then please explain to me whats got you bothered enough to suggest that this place can't be your home away from home, or your refuge? sounds kind of selfish and like "we were here first, so its ours and the way we want it"

everything i wrote about the pretentiousness, was about pretentiousness in general. it wasn't to do with what you are talking about.

you say "something was brought up" and if you are referring to the topic i believe you are, then this is false. the topic has pretty strong material that suggest moaning lol.

you say its not about people being able to avoid clicking on threads etc, yet the whole basis of your topic was that it annoys you, and you basically can't help but be bothered by them. when logically, they should not bother you at all. it sounds like you also felt rejected.

you say its not about how LL used to be, but you pretty much imply it is by saying "when you have been here long enough, and you see the tides start to change" that is basically the same thing. you insinuate that when you have been here longer before (the past) and things 'change' what change are you seeing? its different to how it used to be before?

i don't know why you are talking about moderators..

i think you wrote a lot but said nothing at the same time.

Writing "a load" IS elaborating.

Also, I have already expressed where I'm coming from in the other thread.

I'm tired of repeating myself and of this topic and I don't think it's necessary or will be helpful. Sorry, I didnt read the rest of what you wrote. I'm not interested in discussing this anymore, personally.
