I think it's because his face is very long and the long hair emphasizes his long face and jaw, but when he has short hair it emphasizes his cheekbones. I can almost walk over my chin, but I'm proud of my hair. the only thing annoying about growing long hair for me is that they tend to curl when not to long, and when they grow below my ears, then are too heavy to have some curls. As long as you get shipments from one point to another safely, why should your employer care about your hair length? I met an ex-truck driver years ago who had gorgeous black hair with natural dark cherry highlights and he had grown his hair out very long while driving in Alaska.
