snap, yin, this has been on my wish list for 30 years...soo beautiful. so is alaska!!for a less expensive journey to paradise zion national park and bryce canyon in utah are stunning...too bad you have to go to utah to find them but there is a HUGE amount of pristine country still in america itself. should you go to utah be very careful - they like to bilk "foreigners" and have some very cagey tricks to get you breaking traffic laws... arizona and new mexico are also out of this world...and oregon has everything; ocean, beaches, forest (including rainforest), mountains, desert, beautiful farmland and rivers galore...all within a 300 mi square. I really want to visit India, especially the holy cities in the Himalayas. Also, I want to visit the Andes, in Peru, and maybe see Machu Pichu and Lake Titicaca, but, mostly, look for a real ayahuasquero. IP: Logged |

Lovely photos of Bulgaria. Is everything that rises from that soil so beautiful? Wow, those pics of India are out. I take it you aren't excited about going. But if you'd seen the Ram Dass documentary, "Fierce Grace", maybe you'd change your mind. It's a place where Spirit is still heard, and respected by nearly all the people. Or so I've heard. Are the rats really worshiped, or just cared for?

Gulp! Yinster, you left such a glorious place! OH my, but I totally get it.Places I've always wanted to go (not necessarily live, because of that grass greener thing..) NUMERO UNO- New Orleans, Louisiana. I have dreamt of this place time and time again. I have pics and prints of it all over my house. I was packed to move there, and then Katrina hit, I unpacked. TWO- Transylvania, Romania Another haunting place from dreams. THREE- Egypt. My dad said I've been talking about going to the pyramids since I was 6 years old! I don't know if that is very common, six year olds wanting to go to see ancient ruins, but I did. FOUR- Paris, France. Can't explain why, I don't know. FIVE- any island paradise, really just drop me off, I'll be fine... SIX- I have been drawn to the Pacific NW. This could be just an influence from loving the music that comes from there, because I'm not really into rain all that much. I could keep going, but I'll give someone else a turn. That was fun.! Yin, I found this area of New Zealand a little over a year ago that speaks to my soul... http://www.thecoromandel.com/ I just got back from the Shenandoah Valley in VA. The Grand Caverns in Grottoes, VA were comforting to me. I really like the landscapes and proximity to the ocean of VA and NC in general. I like Wellfleet on Cape Cod but my blood is too thin to live up North or anywhere too cold. I've been sailing in the British Virgin Islands once. I've had my Saggie neighbor's sailboat on my property for almost 4 years now. It certainly provides inspiration for some daydreaming. My husband would happily live on that boat. The Route 66 drive out west could make for an interesting road trip/visit. Recently, people are telling me that I should see Sante Fe, NM. IP: Logged |

For visiting, off the top of my head, Thailand, New Zealand, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, many places in the Caribbean, Alaska, I'd love to travel the Trans-Siberian Railway (with a detour down to Mongolia), Iceland, Berlin (I wish to see their trees & gardens there more than anything else), hike in Finland (and see the play they're supposed to like seeing in the rain about how they lost the war), and I'd like to visit the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam once as well. I'd also like to take a cruise around the Americas, too. Getting to see Antarctica would be a nice bonus as well. Though I'd LOVE to visit the moon should that become possible and spend a long time gazing at Earth while there. I'll stop there before I get too crazy in my musings. And I'm not including places that I've already been. As for where I'd like to live, I'd say rural Washington along the coast, though the rural regions in the State of Jefferson are a close second.
