what about that stream/river i saw in some of your pictures, lexx?? running water is seldom dangerous, but is there enough in there now to get at least a little wet?
Oh I'd love too....but it is a very steep 1/3 mile down walk to that and a very hard climb back up. So I rarely am up to going there the 2/3 mile round trip, but for only some 5 times in 8 years to date.
Other nice appearing rivers here are unfortunately parts of the "Fields Brook Super Fund Toxic" site.

i had to laugh when you mentioned sponge bath, not because your situation is funny, but i had a roomate years ago whose name for it was "wh0re bath"...which still gets a snort out of me!
LOL!
I am curious though why she called them that?

The lady at Petland informed me that we are having the worse flea outbreak this summer, then they've ever had since being in business.

I have spent a couple hundred now, trying to get rid of the dang things.

The mosquitos are reallllly bad this year too, especially if you live by the river, which I do.

The new girl at work showed up!!! Yippee!

I was able to go out to dinner and do some shopping (I had to leave for 4 hours while the bug bomb went off), now, if she just makes it Saturday night, I can forget about the fleas and chalk it up as a good week.

ADfly, did you hear back on your perfume reviews? I saw a video today and thought you might like it. It's the second video, under "Second Act: Mandy Aftel." She's a natural perfumer who used to be a psychotherapist: http://vitality.yahoo.com/video-second-act-jay-shafer-20910192

I had no idea there were over 1,000 new natural perfumes every year! I did get an email about Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs because they produce perfumes based on Neil Gaiman novels, but I haven't tried any of them yet.

LEXX, they used to call sponge baths that (and some still do) because that's what they did between customers to freshen up. I think it's from the 1700s or 1800s, but can't remember. Mike Myers used the phrase in the first Austin Powers movie, and I think it's more common in the UK than the US. By that I mean, it's more commonly said! I just realized that could be taken the wrong way... lol

Wink, I could use a Long Island Iced Tea right about now... Sound so good!

I've always called them ***** 's baths too... It's part of my charm!

Haven't heard back on the reviews yet, however, I've seen that video, Musette! That's the Mandy Aftel who started this whole re-birth of Perfume! I have her book, and it's quite amazing.

The reviewer did send me a brief email saying they were unique and well balanced, so HUZZAH! for that She said she'd get back to me when she finished evaluating them.

PS ~ it's 100 deg. plus heat index it's 106 today here UGGG!

Unique and well balanced is exactly what a perfume should be, so if an expert says that of your perfumes then sounds like you are well on the way to success!

Anything over 100 degrees is waaaaaaay too hot, imo. Hope everyone is staying cool since this summer is such a scorcher for us all!

That is good

I spent this morning driving an hour with all four children, to interact with bureaucrats and waited 2 hours, only to be told that they voted to decide to "make a decision next month." Ugg.

Weasels, that's what they are.
