I was thinking about some way this thread could be an outlet and a support for us.
Let me know if you have any ideas.
It is brewing in my head that we could have a little corner we could come when we needed to talk.
We would know people would be listening.
Then, if other people understood, we would not feel so alone.
It could be like a sewing circle,in the old days, when woman( and men, too, of course) would come together and sew but I bet it was to connect, too.

Nephthys..
"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets" That was my sig line for the longest time.
One of my favorite quotes

free (((HUGS))) anyone who needs one...

I can't hide my emotions very well.. damn Cancer moon lol. The last guy who broke my heart had me bawling at every little love song or someone on tv who looked remotely like him lol... but I wish I could hide it because I hate the puppy dog looks you get when you're crying around someone. So when I'm like that I go straight to my room to be alone.

If I told you all what I fear the most you'd probably roll your eyes. I would think to most people my age they have already been thru what I'm going thru when they were around 20. I'll be 40 in 2 months and scared sh1tless.

Anyway, I hope you all sail thru your stresses with minimal waves.

"Bring me all of your dreams, you dreamer. Bring me all your heart melodies, that I may wrap them in a blue cloud-cloth. Away from the too-rough fingers Of the world." - Langston Hughes

Winkaway, that's awesome on the quote!!! I hold so much in my heart, and I always have a battle between following my heart and following my head (responsibilites of life). It sucks when you have found true love, how can anyone ever settle for less after that? We are not here to have a 1/2-@ss life, we are here to have the best life possible and be completely fulfilled.

I wouldn't roll my eyes at your fear

Are you worried about age? I am over 40. 40's is the new 30! You can be hotter than ever, plus more confident and wise from life experience!!! I am still young at heart but very seasoned with life experiences (and karmic ones too, which don't seem to stop coming, LOL )

Wrinkles? That's another story: glop on the natural face cream every night, get lots of GOOD RESTFUL HEALTHY SLEEP, eat healthy ORGANICS, don't drink alcohol, use sunscreen, eat lots of fresh veggies, drink lots of fresh clear water, buy only good quality cosmetics and beauty products.

I refuse to get old, I will always have long hair and buy cute clothes.

Okay, I'll say it.. but rev up the eye rolls lol.

I have never been completely on my own.
I have either lived with my parents, sister or when I was married with him. Right now I'm with my parents and will have to move out soon. My mom has heart problems to where she may need a pace maker, my dad has a form of arthritis where his bones are fusing. They want to move into a smaller house and the kids are too much for them to handle at their age and with their health problems.

And I don't make enough to handle an apartment rent, my car payments, car insurance and food...etc. But I know that it is time for me to grow some wings...past time. I am stressed because I know this time that when I move out, that's it...if it does't work out or I lose my job or whatever..I have nobody to fall back on and that freaks me out.

So yeah... that's that. I kinda wish my parents would have politely kicked me out years ago. Kids need to learn survival skills at a fairly early age IMO.

I've never lived on my own, either, and I'm now 35.

(*edited out my own post.)

I'm not laughing at you, Wink.

Wink, why on earth would anyone roll eyes at that? Or laugh at you? No way.

I supported myself and lived on my own for a LONG time and I don't *want* to anymore......now I just don't want to live alone anymore so I am living with family and I love it. I am sooooo grateful for where I am living.
So in a way I understand the not wanting to part/being used to always living with people.

Nephthys & Ami & teasel Thank you! My mom brings up every now and then how I'm almost 40 and need to find my own place, etc. And I don't think they realize how scarey that is for me. It's not just me whom I'm responsible for, it's my son too. My daughter is 18 now and looking for a place with her friend, so she will be okay. But to fail not just myself but my son too.. I love him so much and it would kill me to fail him.

So... thanks guys for not rolling the eyes lol.

Nephthys...good for you for going back to college!!!!

I've thought about it. I heard librarians make good money. There's a woman at my work who finished school to become one. And English has always been my best subject, so maybe there's a thought...

Is there any point to suffering?
Why is it worth it?
Or do we carry on living simply because we fear the unknown?
Or is it more than that...an unconscious memory that we are here for a reason?

It feels like there is...but sometimes its all too confusing.

One thing Jesus said, is that, how could you know joy, if you did not know pain? (not that you have to believe in Jesus)

perhaps the point of suffering is learning.

Supposedly we are responsible for our own suffering.....we are responsible for everything that happens in our lives.......we are creators........we attract the kind of vibrations that we are sending out.

Except for innocent animals, who suffer by the hand of man, that's another thing altogether......

I don't believe in religion at all any more. I use my own logic and see it is full of contradictions, and most likely an account of the extraterrestrial races who came here, and quite possibly a tool used to keep people in ignorance and under control. The whole concept of "good" and "evil" are probably the very things that keep the cycle of hatred towards others as well as toward ourselves perpetuated.

Emily,

I don't believe in one specific religion either. I do believe Jesus was a messenger, though. I wasn't quoting him to be religious, my purpose was his message
